Reviews didn't lie, this is a great piece! I got it in black, and it is fabulous & flattering. I'm a size 12, and the medium is perfect. I wondered at first if it was too clingy in the rear, but i get the feeling it will relax a bit as i wear it. If you are size 12+ and unsure about showing the shape of your backside, get the large. But i think it's pretty sexy without being overly clingy or revealing. The shirring creates visual camouflage, and the stretchy fabric hugs my curves. I think it will travel well, too, given that it's wrinkled by design. Can be dressed up or down. Perfect staple black skirt. Get it.

Every once in a while a skirt comes along that is timeless and suits just about every body type. This is just that skirt. A cross between an A-line and a pencil skirt, the rusched panels hide any sort of imperfections. You can dress it up for the office with a jacket, wear it with a tee and sandals for casual, or make it evening wear with just the right blouse. This skirt is appropriate anywhere. Recommendation: order a size smaller than usual and wash it before you wear it the first time to release the rusched panels.

I read the reviews and was aware that the size runs big. However, I order an XS (I am a size 1) and when I received it, it was like a size 6!! XS is actually like a Medium. Very, very, very baggy. If you wear a size 0 - to 4 do not order this skirt. It is not made to fit small or petite women.

I just love this skirt! No question. I normally don't wear skirts because I think I am too fat for it. But this skirt is special in its kind. I look so skinny in it and cannot believe it's me!!! I got a thousand compliments and everybody asks where I got it. It is very, very flattering! And fabric is so soft and comfortable. It sits low at hips which I love. And it is very true that the sizing runs large. I am size 6 medium and size XS fits perfect! I love this skirt so much that I ordered another one in Baltic Blue color. When it arrived super-fast (love you Zappos!) it looked bigger than the first one I ordered. It was tagged XS but when I compared it was more like Medium. I exchanged it for another XS and this time it was real XS.

I agree - this skirt is killer cute and very flattering. I ordered a medium after reading the reviews and it fits. I'm a size 12 normally. Skirt works well with fitted tees - peasant shirts, not so much.

Very comfortable, flattering skirt. I wear it a lot. I am 5'5 and it lays about 4 inches below my knee. The moon rock color is like a very dark forest green. Great skirt. So comfortable. A skirt you can move in - go biking, garden, run errands, eat out, etc. The fabric is nice and light.

I just received this skirt. It is awesome! The shirring is unique and does a nice job distracting from the belly. I did order the small, based on other reviews, and it fit great. I am normally an 6/8 in skirts. It is straight up and down with a draw string, so it needs to sit on the low waist. The fabric is stretchy thin, but must be in order to have the cool shirring.

Fun skirt. I ordered a small whereas I usually where an 8. The small was perfect out of the box with room to move. Comfy, stylish, perfectly stress-free wearing.

This skirt is nice, if you like knee or slightly below skirts, which I do particularly. Also, it is worn on hips, which is what I like also. I think it runs big, because the small fit, and I usually a 8 or 10 in clothes. Med was too large. The ruching is very nice, unique. Great skirt.

This is a fabulous skirt - I liked it so much that I came back and purchased it in this charcoal color after buying it last summer in a cargo green color. Washes well, and looks great on. As others have shared, it runs large! I bought my first one in the XS based on reviews, and it fits perfect. I'm 5'8, and 140#, and usually wear small or small tall in skirts and a medium top. The second color I also ordered in the XS, and it is actually larger....I need to wash it yet and maybe it will shrink a bit, but with the gathering and the tie waist it will still work great. I get a ton of compliments on this skirt. I've worn it with a tank and sandals, sneakers and a tee, or with a cardigan and boots for work. Love it!

I wish I had read the reviews before purchasing this skirt. While the look and fit is very flattering it does run one size too big. I usually where an 8; and I'm pregnant right now and all of my weight is in my stomach, but the skirt was still too big with my stomach being sort of in the way! Order a size smaller!

I'm a fan of the XCVI line especially their skirts. This skirt runs big so I suggest you order a size down. This skirt is a very flattering A-line with detailed ruching all around. I love this color too. Kind of a steel gray.

Most flattering skirt in the history of the world. I have these in several colors. You have to order a size or two smaller. I am 5'9 and typically wear medium at most stores, large in juniors. I need small in this skirt and it can still stretch a little during the day, but stays flattering. The skirts are holding up well after the washer and dryer!

This is one of my favorite skirts. I now have it in 3 colors. The way it is styled and the material of which it is contructed makes it both flattering on most figures and very comfortable to wear.

I have another XCVI skirt and I love it, but I returned this skirt. I did not care for the fit...seemed kind of bulky with all of the shirring.

This is the most flattering skirt ever! I get tons of compliments every time I wear it and actually have it in 4 colors. It does run large. I typically wear medium. I ordered a medium in another color and it fits, but is a little big. I bought the other three (including the black one) in small and they fit great. I have washed them and put them in the dryer and they keep holding up well. Best skirt ever!

The XCVI Shirred Panel Knee length skirt arrived quickly and efficiently Zappos style. I ordered the small and it fit perfectly on me, a size 8 or medium usually. XCVI is a line that I wear often because I like the adjustable waist drawstring or elastic. This skirt pairs well with all my Tshirts and is a good alternative to shorts for a casual, hip look.

Love this skirt! I have a larger "boy size" waist and I love the fact that this skirt has a draw string and has stretch fabric that gives in all directions. Most comfortable I've ever owned. I am a size 12 and ordered the large. It fits great.

I absolutley love this skirt! It is really flattering on, and easy to care for. It is great for travel as you will not need to iron it.

Bought this skirt for a trip to Costa Rica. It was easy to pack and great to wear as a casual day or even a little dressier dinner outfit. It looked really cute on me, though I might recommend buying a size smaller than you normally wear. Thank you Zappos!

This skirt is so awesome. I am a true size 8 (professional fit model, so yeah, that's def. my size). On the advice of the other reviewers got an x small. Fits me like a glove. I thought it was made of thicker material, didn't realize this was a summer skirt, so just be aware. Awesome skirt, but whats up with the sizing?

This skirt is so comfortable. It is true that you must size down, because it does run a little big - other than that, it is a great item to add to your wardrobe.
