I ordered these boots (1/2 size up) along with a few others. They were very flexible, comfortable, didn't slip at the heel and fairly warm. Compared to the Keen Alaska and Hoodoo, this was much better (comfort, warmth, flexibility); however, I was really looking for something a little more fashionable and a bit warmer. After trying 6 different boots, I settled on the Baffin Nima...which had the thickest, warmest fur, most insulated, most arch support, most comfortable and cutest style.

These were super comfortable boots -- nice and warm -- BUT one boot rubs the back of my ankle. I'm afraid I'm going to have to return them.

These babies just helped me navigate 12" of snow and ice and were terrific. As reported for others, you must order up 1/2 -1 full size. I normally wear a 9 and originally ordered a 9 and 9 1/2.. and both were too snug. You don't have to wear socks but I wanted to, so I ordered a size 10 and they were absolutely comfy. Plus, I felt very secure walking in the snow and on the ice.. didn't slip once! And believe me, I almost always end up on my butt! Not this time!

I have to say these are the best boots I have ever worn! Great for cold snowy weather with great traction and they really keep your feet warm. You do need to get them a half size larger but they will fit fine. I am thinking of ordering another pair in case something happens to these ones!

Love this boot. I'm going to try a 1/2 size larger, but if I can get it right, I think these will be winners. I found them instantly comfortable out of the box- perfect cushioning, great tread, flexible, well made, just the right weight, warm and toasty. Color is nicer in person.

I had been looking for a pair of functional but fashionable winter boots. These boots are that, with the bonus of being more eco-friendly than any other boot. I love the height of these boots. They come to about the middle of my leg, so not too short or tall. They are very warm and insulated, completely waterproof for 6 inches (webbed behind the tongue), and skid proof, so they are perfect for a hardcore winter. Of importance: the site does mention that these run small, and they do. With thick socks for winter, I usually wear a size 10, but had to order an 11, which fit much more comfortably than the 10s that I exchanged. I love these boots and highly recommend them. They look great. I can wear them in the city without being embarrassed, but I could sled in them, do farm chores in them etc, and I'm very happy to support such a responsible and conscious company as Timberland.

These boots are warm and keep water out, however they are very stiff and bulky. They also fit snug, so get a half size larger if you intend to wear thick socks. They may look heavy, but they are very light weight, yaaeee! Overall I think the boots are a good buy, they will last for years to come. They are just not fashionable enough to wear if there is no snow....bummer. :(

These boots are very comfortable and light. I listened to other reviews and ordered a half size larger than normal, mostly because I have rather wide feet. The narrow width did loosen up after one good wear, and now fit perfectly with warm but not super thick socks. They are just slightly large on me since I ordered up, but nothing a warm sock wouldn't fix. Wearing them during a Chicago December, they seem like they will be warm into the winter months. They are less bulky than some boots, and are comfortable to walk around in. I even hiked in them in Oregon, and while I would normally select hiking shoes over these, they were perfectly comfortable. My only concern is that the recycled interior will wear and become less comfortable in time. Compared to an Ugg shearling lining, these have a cheaper feel. I still like them very much and am very happy that I bought them.

I bought these during the snow storm last year. They were wonderful, my feet stayed dry and warm. Also compared to the Ugh high top boots these are a much better bang for the buch and you wont see them on everyones feet. Very Happy with the purchase.

These are somewhat uncomfortable and they gave me blisters! Otherwise they seem water resistant and look cute.

I love these, I'm warm up to my calves when there's a blizzard outside. Even though the brown looks very pronounced in the picture when I got them I was a little disappointed because they liked more black but it just friends on the lighting. None the less I get tons of compliments on these. But if you want to wear them with winter socks get them a full size bigger, their so warm you don't need it so I got a half size and I don't mind wearing slightly thinner socks.

Ordered true size and way too tight. Needs to go back. But very cute. Style is what I'm looking for. Might try an 8.

These boots are great. I generally wear a size 10 and have a wide foot. I decided to opt for the size 11 medium and they fit great. They have plenty of room for bulkier socks if need be and even though I usually wear a 10, I don't find these extra big. They're also really lightweight on your feet which is a huge plus.

Love these boots but very snug around the toes. Tried a larger size, but too big around the heel.

I wear a 7.5, but usually purchase an 8. This boot in an 8 was tight and would like to purchase an 8.5, but they're sold out. Unfortunately this will have to go back because it's too tight.

Nice looking boot, but Timberland wasn't kidding when they said these ran small. I normally wear a 9-9.5. I ordered a 10 and it was still too small. Very narrow also. Alas, these are going back.

Ordered these boots based on all the positive reviews and from what I read on Timberland site but I am really disappointed. Timberland claims this to be one of their environmentally friendly boots, but as soon as I took the boots out of the box, all I could smell were waves of Phthalates and/or other plastisizers. I have owned these boots for almost 2 weeks now and the smell has not diminished. I have a small baby and I am not interested in this off-gassing continuing around our home all winter. In addition, the fit is not comfortable. The arch support is not impressive. My feet hurt after walking in these boots for more than 15 minutes. My previous boots by Ecco, were much more comfortable in terms of the overall fit and sole comfort. Could walk in those for hours. I am bummed because Timberland is a great company and I was hoping for more from them with this shoe -- my first purchase from them in years.

These are the best boot I've picked out this season so far and I've picked a lot. However, they are not worth the money. My feet got wet yesterday in the rain that lasted all day - I didn't expect that. My feet were warm for the month I've had them, for sure. They didn't fare well in the all day rain though.

I ordered this boot, along with the Ecco Performance Kazan and the Keen Alaska boot. I was disappointed that these were not sealed all the way up and the tongue of the boot starts near the ankle, which would allow snow to get in, given the kinds of snowbanks I've had to hike through lately! They were also too small, although I typically wear a 9, and there's nothing bigger than a 9 available. Returned, and kept the Ecco pair.

These were cozy with all the pile lining, but felt tight. I tried a full size larger than I normally wear, and they were still snug. Also, my heel slipped when I tried walking in them. I bought the Bogs Zoe instead.

I love the style and the warmth, but last year they described them as slip free and they lied. I had a very bad fall from slipping on ice while wearing these boots. If I had known how easy it is to slip on the type of rubber soles used on theses boots I would never have bought them.

These are hands down the best bad weather boots that I have ever owned. They are so warm and toasty I do not want to remove them when I return indoors. I wore them while winter tent camping for an entire weekend (and during downpours) and my feet stayed warm and dry the whole time. The grip on the sole is excellent and they are surprisingly lightweight for how durable and tough they are. For the money you cannot get much better quality than this.

Love these boots! I can wear thin socks with them and my feet still stay warm! They are really comfortable and I am extremely happy with my purchase. They felt true to size for me, but I don't wear thick socks. If you want to be able to wear thicker socks, I would say go a half size up. Perfect boots for walking in the snow!!!

I absolutely love everything about these boots! First a big thank you to Zappos for their outstanding fast deliveries, the best customer support you can ask for and I got these at a great discount! Now a little about the boot, when you first put them on they feel tight on the tops of your toes but within minutes that feeling goes away and is replaced with sheer comfort. Walking in them is easy as the shafts bend easily with your movement without any pinching anywhere. Jeans can be tucked into the tops of these for showing them off but my calves are on the fatter side so doesn't look that cute on me but someone with slim calves would look cute, no worries though my jeans go over the tops of these boots nicely so that's no big deal to me. I've only worn them inside so far but I'm sure they will be just fine outside. My shoe size is a 7.5 - 8 depending on style, I ordered in an 8 and they fit well with room for a heavier sock. All in all I couldn't be happier with these I'm sure I will have these for many years. My advice on these are if you're looking at these, just buy them - you won't regret it.

I am so satisfied with the purchase of my Timberlands. They keep my feet warm and are waterproof. They are not the most stylish but they are deceptively quite light. I thought the shoe would be heavy and bulky like hiking boots but they are not. I have always bought much cheaper boots thinking these were too expensive. Well, the result is that my feet are always cold. These are the best purchase in winter boots I have ever made.
