Happy feet! I bought this Merrell boot to replace a pair of Danskos, and while I liked the Danskos, I love these. The foot bed is flexible while still providing great support. I can walk in them all day, and my feet are still happy. Other reviews had mentioned how warm they keep your feet. I've worn them in slush and snow, and my feet stay dry and relatively warm, but they're not too warm for indoors. I can imagine this being a four-season boot.

This is pretty darn close to the perfect ankle boot. Incredibly comfortable, yet work-appropriate even for my conservative office. As others have noted, these shoes felt broken-in right out of the box. I am a size 6, but ordered a 6.5 so that I could wear thick winter socks with these, and the size is just right. I didn't think that I would find a winter shoe as comfortable as my beloved Crocs wedges are for summer, but I was pleasantly surprised!

These boots are great because they are comfortable and cute. They keep my feet warm while I am hiking and are decent on varied terrain. Only complaint is that my feet get a little cold if I wear them while sitting, like in the office. Other than that, great! I bought a 8 and usually wear 7.5 and this was perfect.

These are great fitting boots, but I sent them back the color is a brindle that looks like fake leather, watch out for the color on these.

I love these boots. Before buying them I had spent time in Hunter rain boots, Sporto and Sorel waterproof winter boots and even some overpriced Stuart Weitzman boots. My La Canadiennes were finally starting to need some restoration after years of relying on them during the winter, and none of the other boots I owned were comfortable enough to walk long distances, appropriate for work and waterproof (I live in Seattle, waterproof is a must for over half the year). These little boots by Merrell are all of the above. I can wear them to my office job and walk four miles in them. They are tight to get on at first but require only minor breaking in, and the foot bed is plenty roomy. The arch support is decent enough to not need extra support for 2 miles or so of walking, more than that and I slip in my orthotics.

Great boot! Not toe-tight like so many others, and no break-in time whatsoever! I wear a 5.5 and it fits perfect.

Great rain boot. Not too heavy and has removable inserts, so you can use your own orthotics.

I bought these boots to wear when I do 30 minutes of morning and 30 minutes of duty as a high school teacher for the winter months. It rains a lot in Arkansas in the winter and it is somewhat cold as well. These fit perfectly and are very comfortable and are just right for the reason I bought them. What I didn't expect is that they are so comfortable that I have hardly had them off since I unboxed them. I love Merrells and own a bunch of them. They are great "teaching" shoes.

Comfy, comfy, comfy. Great for the mountains of snow we get every winter. Fit perfectly. Looks great with jeans or slacks.

I was not sure if I was going to keep these boots at first. They seemed a little thin in the sole, and I did not think that they would keep me warm. They are also a little difficult to get on and off, but once on they are super comfortable! I just used them for a trip in the snow and I just loved them. My feet were warm and cozy the whole time!

I just received my new pair of Tetra Catch (black), and put them on immediately! I walked to work in them and right away they felt great. No "breaking in" period needed it seems. They felt comfortable walking on hilly terrain and in the cold. Good traction too.

I bought these for my daughter-in-law for Christmas, and she loves them. They are stylish but great for winter weather.

This is the best shoe purchase ever! These are hands down the most comfy shoe I've ever owned. Like the other reviewers commented, there is no need to break them in. I feel like I'm walking on air cushions (possibly gel cushions built in?). The style isn't the most fashionable; the shoe is pretty basic. This shoe does great in the snow and average on ice. Size wise, it might be slightly larger, but it works because I want the option to wear wool socks as this is my winter boot. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another.

This is my second pair of these wonderful boots. They are attractive, comfortable and as water proof as advertised, thus ideal for my life of walking miles daily in rainy conditions. They go well with all sorts of pants, especially skinny jeans. Look great even after extensive wear!

Very comfortable, versatile boots. These are my second pair - the first lasted about 18 months. I wear them to work on a near-daily basis and am on my feet for 6-8 hours per day. I also have them in black, although I prefer the more weathered, brown color. They look great with khakis and jeans. Highly recommended!

These boots were comfortable right out of the box to wear all day. They are very basic, functional boots that have kept my feet dry. Like all my boots, I bought a half size up to wear with thick socks. I'm not sold on the "brindled" appearance of the brown leather, but they are looking better as the boot breaks in.

This boot is comfortable and easy on the foot. Although it is a very casual style, it works with a variety of outfits. Keeps feet warm and dry.

These are great. I find them very comfortable and have experienced no leaking of water even though every morning I'm walking through very wet grass. I do use an insert for my plantar fasciitis, but it fit in with no issues.

These Merrell Tetra Catch boots are so comfortable. They're well made and look really nice. I love them. They fit true to size and I didn't need to break them in at all...they were super comfy right away! And Zappos is always awesome to order shoes online.

This boot really delivered! Comfortable and water resistant. We live on a farm and go out with our dogs and this boot really kept my feet dry and warm. A little wide in the forefront but with thick socks I could wear them all day. Zappos is like having a shoe store next door. Service is speedy and returns are a cinch.

LOVE these boots. Straight out of the box comfortable, no break-in required, and I like that there is a little room in the toe box. My toes aren't all squished together, but they don't make my feet look wide either. Looking forward to wearing them on dog walks in the rainy Seattle Fall, Winter, and Spring! I think I'm getting them in brown too just so I have options.:) Great for casual wear. Also I can't rave enough about Zappos wonderful service.

Great boots! They live up to the expectations I had for them. The only negative about them is the color. The boots are a bit dappled in patchy color, but this isn't evident from a distance and not noticeable when wearing them. You might also consider ordering a half size up if you want to wear with thick socks.
