I had high hopes. I've been searching for a waterproof winter boot forever. Could not get my slightly wide foot into the very narrow and unyielding zipper opening. It's annoying how they make shoes so size limited.

These were really hard to get on, even with the tab. It was difficult getting them past the ankle support. Then, my toes were all squished. I have worn Merrell's for years - love them, but not these. I will be sending them back.

I love these boots! They are perfect with jeans in wet or icy weather. They have great grip and are super comfortable all day long. I teach elementary special education so I am on my feet all day, but I never feel like I need to take my shoes off at the end of the day. One caution, if you have wide ankles they might be hard to get on. I have narrow feet and it is a bit of a tug, but so worth it. Once they are on, they fit perfectly with extra toe room. It is getting easier to slide them on and off with wear. Merrell's Tetra Strap Waterproof, and Tetra Launch Waterproof are made using the same sole and foot base so they fit the same, but are higher so you can wear them with other styles. I wore them for several days in a row on all day sight seeing adventures this winter through ice, snow, and rain and had happy dry feet at the end of the day.

I wore these to work every day as soon as I got them. They are inconspicuous enough for the office, yet so comfortable and waterproof. They do not have the usual Merrell contoured insole for arches etc., but the insole still comes out in case you need something more. As a result, I would not wear them for a long day of walking in New York City, but for everyday wear they are just great. They show no wear after being worn for three months daily. They are great basic short boots.

I've had these boots for 2 years. I've worn them almost every day of our 8 month cold season...walking and biking to work in rain and sometimes snow. Comfortable, warm, dry, durable. I might see if I can get them shined up and resoled...if not I'll get another pair. Sizing was right on for me. They look great with jeans, long skirts, and my work attire. I don't want 100 pairs of shoes...I just want one that works with almost everything and this was it for me.

Hiked all over Paris and Rome in these & they were the most comfortable shoes ever. Feet stayed dry on rainy days, and the boots look fabulous with either jeans or tailored trousers.

I always love my Merrells. They are super comfy and great for travel. Love the quick shipping.

Unfortunately, I have to return these. I was looking for a good, comfortable boot to wear when I work outside, rain or shine. However, I consistently would get wet feet while wearing these. I even waterproofed them several times, and still had problems. They are certainly comfortable, and look fine. Perhaps my waterproofing job was not good enough, but I was under the impression that they would be waterproof from the start -- which was certainly not the case. A shame I have to return them, because I have otherwise been very satisfied with Merrell boots.

These boots are ultra comfortable. I have a wider foot and a medium width accommodated them with comfort. The tab on the top back makes it so easy to slip your foot into them. Even my 90 year old mother would love these boots.

Love these boot! Tiny bit wide but with socks, it's fine. Wore them through the rainy streets of NYC, walking through dirty sidewalk puddles! Feet stayed nice & dry & comfy!

Nice looking and comfortable. True to size in length, but a little bit roomy around the ankle. Nothing that boot socks can't fix.

I bought these for a December trip to Germany that involved lots of walking and time spend outside. I ordered a half size up so I could wear double socks and the boots were comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry the entire trip. I need a wide toe box and these boots gave my toes plenty of room.

These would be perfect if they were just a half-size bigger. I hope the true size 11 really exists because I think I would really use these a lot.

I've worn this boot now through 3 seasons, and they're great. I hike in them, and walk the dog in the woods in them, run around town, etc. They have a funky quality I love, and they're very comfortable. They also run a little wide, which works for me. They've replaced my old Blundstones for good. I loved those, but they didn't fit as well around the ankle and, hence, got caught on the hem of my jeans constantly, which was annoying. Originally I had the tall version of these with buttons (discontinued? they were even funkier), but the buttons kept falling off, and I had to return them. These short ones, however, I can highly recommend.

Ordered these for Alaska...can dress up or down chose these because they are waterproof and they were not sporty - comfortable! Quality, very pleased...no need to break them in.

Love these boots. Wear them everyday to work. Good traction and very comfortable. Easy on and off but supportive.

These boots are great. They look wonderful with jeans and are perfect for a rainy day. Very comfortable and stylish too! I couldn't be more pleased with this purchase.

I love these boots! I live in Seattle - we've had a rainy Spring and I just wear them every day. Comfortable. Felt tight at first but loosened up quickly. Look nice with jeans or dressier pants.

I've had bunion surgery twice, and my feet are very needy. So I am so happy I found these boots. They are for wintertime and I've worn them non-stop all season. They are stylish enough to wear with dresses and tights or with jeans, waterproof for wet weather, and wide enough for my lousy feet. I removed the insoles to wear them with orthotics, but have found Merrell shoes to have good built-in arch support. My only warning is not to count on them for warmth in particularly cold weather.

This is a very comfortable boot for when you want warmth, but don't have to worry about a lot of snow. Room to put in an arch support if needed.

I've been pretty happy with these. Merrells really work for my foot and I was relieved to find these boots as comfortable and supportive as the hiking shoes I have from them. I actually put a thinner liner in this boot because they felt a little snug, but my own liners aren't as supportive as the original ones so I'll probably put them back in. These are great in the rain, and they look cool. Zappos is great!

Love the boot. Visiting from Florida, got caught in snow storm in New York - had to purchase boots, and had a hard time finding one that would fit comfortably because of my bunions. I wear 7 1/2 but the 8s gave me enough room. Very comfortable and warm. Great boots.

These boots are comfy and cool. I've taken my dog on several long walks wearing them and they've been great. I've worn them in the rain and didn't get my feet wet. The only issue for me is that I have a narrow heel and if I don't wear the right socks, the socks ride down into the shoes. I got some Keen Concord crew socks that completely solved this problem. The combo is perfect!

I have been searching for a work boot and these are a win! I am in EMS and all the other military style boots are very uncomfortable on my feet. I own several pairs of Merrell shoes and I know they hold up to their word for comfort and durability. I have been searching for a black leather boot that is also waterproof that is not heavy, bulky, or too hot on my feet so that I would be able to use them at work in the winter and summer - these are the ticket! I highly recommend this boot to anyone who is needing a comfortable boot. I wear a 7 1/2 and that is what I ordered and they fit great! If anyone happens to read my review on this boot and know someone who needs a work boot and that is on there feet for extended periods of time, please pass this one on to them, they will not be disappointed - is anything they would love you for it. Nice, comfortable boot, keeps the ankles warm, lots of toe room, fits true to size. Can walk around in it all day with no discomfort.
