When I received my boots I noticed a slight hitch in one of the zippers which had been a problem reported by some other reviewers. After a call to Zappos, within a week I had received a replacement pair with smooth zippers. The boots' debut was going out to dinner in downtown Flagstaff. They looked great with my jeans. A storm came in and I walked a few blocks in rain, felt toasty and the boots still looked out-of-the-box new. The next day I went for a hike in the forest, 32 degrees, some places with 5 inches of virgin snow with liners and wool socks. I never felt a hot-spot, my feet stayed warm, and they were very stable in sketchy terrain. I normally wear a size 7 1/2, ordered an 8 and they fit great. I really researched these before ordering and appreciate all the reviewers' comments, they were quite helpful.

This was the perfect winter boot. Warm, light, and stylish. Kept me warm and dry through the Colorado snow.

Just moved to Chicago and needed a good winter boot. For comparisons sake, I ordered these and the Patagonia pair that look pretty similar. These were the clear winner and have been keeping my feet warm and dry. I have plantar fasciitis, and so far, these have given great support with zero foot pain! My only complaint is that I wish the boot shaft was a little wider. I have an above average calf size, and I don't think I'll be able to tuck pants into these. All in all though, great boot and worth the money.

This boot is awesome. As usual it was shipped faster than the speed of light. I tried them on and immediately worked in them all day. I work on films so am on my nerve-damaged feet for 12-16 hours a day. I love Merrells and am starting to wear them exclusively, but I fully expected to have to break these in as they are my first pair of Merrell boots. Was I wrong. I wore them for 15 hours on a cold muddy and rainy day, and they were fantastic! My feet stayed warm and dry, and the mud came right off. Plus I got millions of compliments as they are so stylish and cool looking. Buy them. You won't be sorry.

Fantastic on every level - warm, waterproof, lightweight and good looking. I'm very pleased with these boots! I do alot of walking my dog and these boots are comfortable and not heavy. I ordered 1/2 size larger to allow for a thick sock. Love these boots!

I love these boots! I tried several different boots (thanks to Zappos no hassle return policy) before deciding on these. From the moment I slid my foot into them I knew I was going to love them. They are so warm and cozy I didn't want to take them off. I'm actually hoping for snow so I will have an excuse to wear them!

I put on these boots and hiked through the woods with my dogs after a 3 inch snowfall. My feet stayed dry and warm, and the boots were as comfortable as my favorite trail shoes. Great boots!

I love this boot and have been a fan of Merrell for years. It is easy to slip on and off, warm in the most bitter cold (only need cotton socks), and looks great. The only con is where the footbed meets the ankle area. It digs into the ankle a bit just enough to be annoying but not too uncomfortable. I solved the problem inserting a heel gel pad to raise my heel a bit. It may just be my foot so this is definitely worth the buy.

These are the most comfortable shoes I own. Incredibly warm and waterproof of course (9 inches of snow on Martha's Vineyard felt no different than any other day), but very comfortable. I wear them around the house, and every chance I get.

Just got this boot 3 weeks ago. I was looking for a warm pair of boots that I can also walk long distances in. So far, it has been a mild winter but the boots are very comfy. Good footbed support and not heavy. My one ankle did rub a little with thin socks on after a 3 mile walk. No problem with rubbing with slightly thicker socks. I wore it to snowshoe in Tahoe for 4 hours and my feet were dry, warm and well supported. I thought the boots were true to size. I love Merrills. They give my feet good support. I also like the ease of the zipper on the boots and the adjustable elastic laces for a more smog fit when you need it. I got mine in black and so far it has worn nicely even through mud and slush. One more thing about Zappos. The delivery was quick and one I had ordered 2 pairs of shoes that didn't fit and was going to return them but forgot about it until 363 days later. I took them to the post office shipped it back for free and within the next couple of days, received a full refund no questions asked. That is truly amazing service!

I purchased these boots to wear walking around town in Sweden and was not disappointed. The boots are as comfortable as a pair of walking shoes and kept my feet warm even in below zero weather. Great fit, true to size, comfortable and stylish too.

I just love it. I feel stable walking on the icy driveway. My feet stayed warm.

I bought these boots and wore them nonstop for a week walking all over New York City in the rain and cold. They were so comfortable that I hated taking them off. They are beautiful, waterproof and do not show any mess. They run true to size, are light-weight, have great nonslip soles. They are the best boots that I have ever owned.

I wasn't sure how these would fit so I bought 1 pair in each size to see which would be more comfortable. I went with the 1/2 size larger for wiggle room for my toes. I love love love these comfortable stylish boots! I had purchased a fitted down parka with faux fur around the hood in a similar cocoa color and they compliment it beautifully. One more thing: because of foot issues, I do use an insole inside. Another reason for going 1/2 size up. Merrell seem to make good shoes.

I bought these boots based on the recommendations of others for comfort and warmth, and I'm glad I took their advice. These shoes are absolutely wonderful...I recently moved to Boston from warmer climates and now I feel invincible when I wear these shoes out in the cold. Very comfortable and warm.

As a longtime Zappos customer, I wasn't surprised with the amazingly quick service. And I have the same boot in a brownish color so knew we would be a good fit. We normally have a great deal of rain, so again I chose the same boot for the rainproof quality. Ironically, we haven't had tons of rain this autumn, but we have had some very chilly days. This pair of boots provide coziness and comfort also. Love them.

Love these boots! They arrived in the middle of a snowstorm so I had the opportunity to test them out right away. They are comfortable with or without socks and keep my feet toasty warm. Enough room to wear with jeans tucked in, even though I have pretty wide, muscular calves. Found them to be true to size with lots of room for my toes. These are my first pair of merrells, but they wont be my last

These are so comfortable! Do you like Jungle Mocs? Do you live in in them? These feel just like them. Actually maybe even a little bit better! Pants tuck in nicely as well. Hey winter! I'm ready for you!

I looked for a long time for a boot that is nice enough to wear to town, but warm enough to keep my feet warm and dry in the deep snow. I was hoping for real sheepskin boots with great support (that would NOT be Uggs). But I love my Merell shoes, and the fact that these are considered waterproof and have insulation for warmth won me over. The style... well, with pants covering the top of the boot, they're pretty clunky looking. Much better appearance with pants tucked in, altho' that's hard to do with Levi 501's or anything boot cut. Pretty well needs to be skinny jeans unless you loosen all the lacing. These boots are VERY warm. My typically cold feet are nearly hot and sweaty in these boots, so they'll be great in the deep snow and extreme cold. Because my feet are narrow these seem really wide to me, but I wear big thick wool socks and they're extremely comfortable. The tops are cut large (albeit I DO have fairly skinny legs) and I have the elastic lacing pulled tight. The top, with the decorative "sheepskin" are pointy at the front front from the boots being pressed flat for so long. I can't seem to get them to relax, but maybe, given more time. If you're looking for something very stylish this isn't the boot. But if you want warm and comfortable you'll love them.

Outrageously comfortable and amazingly warm! Took them to the alps and wore them everyday! Took me an entire year to find the pair that works for me because I hate Uggs and how everyone sports them. This pair can get away with being stylish (I wear them with skinny jeans and leggings) and they are super warm so go for it! Seriously... an amazing boot!

I love these boots! They are so comfortable, so easy to slip on, and so warm. I usually get blisters on the backs of my heels, but I've been wearing these for about a month now, and they haven't given me a blister yet. They are also tight enough to be worn under loose jeans but also look really cute with skinny jeans tucked in. A great buy! I haven't tried them on snow/ice much yet because we haven't had much, but I have a feeling they'll be great.

I love these boots. After searching high and low, ordering and returning, I finally found a very comfortable and stylish boots. Rounded toe doesn't squish my toes, and with my orthotics in them, I can wear these boots on successive days. These boots are not made for people with wide calves. Mine are not wide and the boots are snug with no room for heavy socks or tucking in pants.

These are VERY warm boots, almost too much so when inside, but wonderful outside. They fit my orthopedic inserts very well, and they are over an inch high on the arch with no rubbing at all. Felt broken-in immediately, wore them for 12 hours the first day with no discomfort. No complaints about these shoes; seem to be the great quality all the other Merrell shoes I have bought before have.

It's been 1 year since I've had these boots. They hold up well to Chicago winters. They are warm, comfortable and stylish. Best boot I've purchased in years. Looking forward to wearing them this winter.
