Adorable boots but narrow. I normally wear a size 6. I ordered up a half size anticipating wearing heavy socks. These boots were so narrow even the half size up was too tight. Too bad, they're cute!

I absolutely love these boots! I wore them tromping around Santa Fe and they even served me well on a spontaneous climb over extremely rocky terrain to glimpse some 800 year old petroglyphs! No zipper issues. My calves are about 17½" and the shorter shaft on these boots accommodated my large calves, but just barely. I would not have been able to fit jeans inside so I wore jeggings. There was some rubbing to one of my inside ankles by the last day of the trip, I think it depends on how the shaft relaxes - it is a crap shoot. Taller socks or moleskin help remedy this problem. I got these in a half size bigger than I usually wear based on other reviewers comments and I m glad I did. I am really so pleased with these boots. I cannot say enough good things about them. Oh, they also got wet and still look great! I was stylish in town and sure footed and warm in the mountains. These are highly recommended.

I finally found the perfect boots! After three previous tries (& 3 easy returns, thanks to Zappos), I found boots that are extremely light weight, have outstanding arch support, are easy to take on/off, are waterproof, & warm! They are cute for the every day hustle & bustle, with my scrubs, as I work in the medical field, & look adorable with skinny jeans/leggings on the weekends. I should caution that I ordered 1/2 larger than I would normally wear, thanks to reviews I read, & that worked out perfectly! The calf part fits a bit snug, & might be difficult with boot cut jeans. I love these boots. I've had them for about 3 years now and they're awesome. I used to work for a Sporting Goods store and was able to proform these shoes, which made the purchase a no-brainer. They're tall enough that I've been able to comfortably wear them snowshoeing, or trailblazing in deep snow and light enough that I can wear them all day around town with out feeling like I have 5 lb ankle weights on (which is how I personally felt in a pair of Sorrells). I live in Colorado where it can be wet and snowy but melt off by noon so it's great to have a light weight boot that you don't have to take off to be comfortable at work. Comfortably warm, but the toebox is a tad small so it can be hard to get a good toe wiggle. Still like new after 3 years and are true to Merrell sizing (my foot measures at an 8.5 but I always need 9 in Merrell).

These are great boots! Warm, rugged and good looking. I have worn them to work and for a walk in the snowy woods. And as always, zappos.com makes it easy to order and the boots arrived quickly.

This is a great walking boot in snow or on sidewalk! It feels so much like my Merrell walking shoes, but warmer and more waterproof. I love Merrell shoes, and this was my first pair of Merrell boots. I ordered the same size I have in shoes, and they fit nicely. However, if you like to wear bulky socks with your boots, you might want to go a half size up. However, you really don't need heavy socks with these boots; they are well-lined and toasty. The boot shaft is a little snug, so don't expect to get your pants inside the boot, unless you're wearing leggings or skinny jeans.

I LOVE THESE BOOTS!!! They offer the greatest support that I could find, and I tried a lot of boots in order to find these. Thanks to Zappos amazing return policy for making it possible for me to find these boots. Zappos also has the fastest shipping ever. Still can't believe how they were able to ship my boots on a Sunday and I received them on the next day. WOW! Size wise I usually use 5.5 but I wanted to use thick socks and ordered 6.5 and this boot fits perfectly. No need for breaking them in. They are warm and awesome.

I love these boots. I tried many winter boots that were either too wide for my narrow calves, or just too ugly! These were comfortable from day one and warm. They even stood up to the blizzard last week - kept my feet warm and dry in almost 2 feet of snow!

I am very satisfied with this shoe. It's comfortable and high enough so that one's pants don't come out over the top. It can adjust to any size leg.

These boots have been great, comfortable and warm, easy on and off. They have an athletic shoe feel but are definitely a winter boot.

These boots are terrific. Normal Merrell footbed and sole fit well. I ordered my normal size Merrell worn with socks and my regular orthotic. The stretch-cord enables refined fit.

These are excellent boots for cool and cold weather. They are great with leggings or skinny jeans. I absolutely love them!

I am a boot enthususient! I live in a mountainous environment with all kinds of weather. These boots are light weight like sneakers with waterproof exterior, fuzzy warm lining inside and support that you could run in. I will definitely get another pair. They run true to size.

I am hoping that a half a size bigger will be just the trick. I wear anywhere from a 9 to a 10 usually and I'm hoping that a 10.5 will fit. These shoes feel really warm and will be great with skinny jeans.

This is single best purchase I've made from Zappos and probably any shoe store ever. These boots are incredibly comfortable and toasty without making my feet sweaty. They kept my feet dry through a surprise slushy blizzard yesterday (not joking). They look cute over slim-fitting pants, but I've also been wearing them under my work clothes. They were the only shoe I could comfortably wear after (TMI alert) I had to get some minor but painful surgery on an ingrown toenail (not caused by the boots!).

As much as I love the style and quality of these boots, they just didn't work for me. I live in Chicago and we've had the most horrible snow/slush/ice all winter. The shaft on the boots is too narrow to tuck my pants in comfortably without looking odd. They also don't come up high enough, in my opinion. If your legs aren't stick thin and you need to tuck your pants into them to avoid ruining your pants with snow and slush, then these probably won't work for you. Otherwise, everything else about them is great. If the shaft was a bit wider and came up higher on your legs, they would be perfect. I wish they were a bit more rugged. They also seem to run about a half size small. I always wear a size 7, and these were tight on my foot.

So sad to be returning these boots! Were so warm and cute. Felt like they would be great. Comfortable too except for one important factor: the end of the zipper curves in and rubs against my ankle with every step.Wearing them inside the house for 10 minutes started to hurt. Maybe I just have the wrong shaped foot for this boot.

I must say that I love Merrell shoes, so I had every expectation of loving these boots. Unfortunately, I did not. I own numerous Merrell running shoes all in size 7 which fits perfectly, if not a touch loosely. While these fit on my feet in a 7, they were tight, even with the thinnest of socks. Sure, you say, they may have loosened up after a break in period, yes. However, my other issue was, being a 5'2" girl with 16" calves, these hit just under the widest part of my calf actually squeezing into it with upward pressure. Yes, I could zip these boots up all the way, but no chance of wearing them over pants. More than likely, if your legs are thinner or even an inch longer than mine these will work for you. I had to return this pair, but I might try a larger size.

The boots are really cute. The shoe part fit perfectly but I was unable to zip them as the calf was way too tight. Bummer!

I don't usually write reviews, but I love these boots. Honestly, they are not particularly stylish, however, they are the most comfortable and warm snow boots that I have ever owned. I have walked miles & miles in these boots in rain, sleet and snow and have stayed completely dry, warm, and comfortable. I pretty much wear them everyday in the winter. My daughter says that the rounded toe is unflattering, but that probably accounts for their comfort.

Love this boot, although it's not quite as comfy and warm as my last pair of Merrell boots. I need to exchange it for the next size up because although it fits with tights, it does not accommodate thicker socks.

I've had this boot for about a year now. I desperately needed new ones last winter, tried on about 20 pairs and finally settled on this pair. And that's exactly what I did, I settled. While these boots are very warm and hug my foot nicely, they are not comfortable. I can barely walk more than 20 minutes in them and if your driving in them while in traffic forget it, I've almost pulled over just to take them off and adjust them my ankle was in so much pain. The reinforced heel is so stiff that it digs into your ankle. The zipper / bungee lace combo doesn't help, they constantly start slipping and causing the heel to dig into my ankle even more. I had felt this a little when I first got them, but I thought over time I would break them in and it would be fine. I was wrong. They still hurt, they are my only winter boots and I've been suffering through because "they're new, I can't just buy new ones". But after this winter in MA, and having about 7 feet of snow in my yard. I can't wear these for the rest of the season. I ordered about 6 new pairs of boots to try this weekend. I DO NOT RECOMMEND these boots, unless you like to torture yourself. It's a shame because they are very very warm and fit in the foot perfectly and look nice under jeans, but that's where the "pros" ends.

I usually wear an 8 in Merrells, but based on other reviews I ordered an 8.5. Perhaps I would even need a 9. But I am not going to re-order as these boots are narrow in the toe area. I have narrow heels and a wide toe area and Merrells usually work for me but not these. Too bad!

This is a very comfortable boot, but felt a little short in the toebox. I could have lived with that but the shaft on the left boot felt tighter than the right boot. The zipper rubbed into my ankle. And when I took a step, bending my ankle, the boot pressed into my ankle and was really uncomfortable. But just the left boot. My right foot could have worn this boot all day! But back they go. Maybe I'll try a 1/2 size larger.

These are great looking boots, but if you have skinny legs they don't work at all. The opening at the top was very large and left a big gap to let in cold air. Additionally, they were bunchy around my ankles so they rubbed a bit when walking around.
