I have worn these on several occasions for the past year, to Big Sur, Yosemite, and many other long hikes. They have held up wonderfully although I haven't tried splashing through streams yet so can't attest to the Gore-Tex part. These shoes are super sturdy and although they are a bit heavier, they feel sturdy rather than clunky. Glad I found these and thanks Zappos for the great price!

I just received my shipment this evening and I can honestly say that these shoes fit perfectly right out of the box! They just slipped right on! I don't usually write reviews because I don't usually get so excited over a purchase, so this is a big deal. Cannot wait to try them out. I hike a lot in Arizona and needed a lighter weight, water resistant shoe with a sticky sole for rough terrain. This shoe fits all the criteria. Great purchase, and Zappos was quick to ship it out.

Bought these shoes to hike in Utah. They were excellent, even on loose gravel and steep grades.

I live in Oregon and need a waterproof shoe. This shoe is definitely waterproof and very comfy. I have worn it golfing when it's wet and muddy and I walk the courses, which is about 5 miles. I love this shoe. It's so comfortable that I've even walked on the treadmill with it on. Great shoe! It does run small, so I went a size up.

My husband and I traveled around the world for over a year and I alternated between my Merrell Sirens and a pair of Ecco Yucatan sandals for the entire trip. I walked a ton in my Merrells and used them in lieu of hiking boots for all sorts of big treks including one to Annapurna Base Camp--this one starts hot/humid and ends cold. My shoes held up really well and still do not need to be replaced. It was nice to have a pair of shoes that could pass as casual sneakers in cities but function as boots for treks.

I love them! They are very lightweight, very comfortable, have a great cushion. I cannot wait to wear them for my hiking!

I've owned two pairs of the Siren Sport, and this time went with the Gore-Tex because I work at a garden store. I love them!

Excellent shoe, I bought these for my friend and she loves them. She even started wearing them to work.

I bought a pair of these a year ago. I love that they come and wide width. They are very comfortable and have held up well. Am thinking of ordering another pair.

This is my second pair and I love them! They have great traction, keep my feet dry, are breathable and are good for all seasons. I wore out the first hiking the Napali coast in Kauai to using them for my daily P90X workout. It was so great to go to Zappos and order the exact pair without having to go searching for them. I also received the shoes the next day without express shipping!

This is my second pair of this style. Both times I had to order 1/2 size larger than I usually wear. I wear them for dog walking, dog agility, and light hiking. The waterproofing is great when new but gets weaker as the shoes are worn out.

I have been shopping for a good pair of hiking shoes and looked at several different brands and styles online. Several of the ones I liked were supposed to be available at Dick's and Sports Authority but when I went to the store, they did not have the brand and styles I wanted. Also, Dick's only had one pair in my size and Sports Authority had only two pairs in my size. I ordered five different shoes from Zappos and received them within two days. They had every brand and style that I liked in stock! The Merrell Siren Sport is a good looking shoe, fits beautifully, and is very comfortable. I wear a heavy sock when hiking and there is plenty of toe room. I will keep this pair! Zappos certainly made my shoe shopping experience a pleasure!

I ordered this shoe for an upcoming trip to Alaska. I wanted to purchase a few months ahead of time to break-in, but these were comfortable right out of the box! I tried the regular Siren Sport on in a store, but wanted something waterproof and was so excited to find these! I will say these feel more "stiff" than the regular, but I'm sure that's because of the Gore-Tex. Very nice shoe! I'm pleased with my purchase.

I bought these shoes on-line while on holidays in the USA.The order was processed and delivered very quickly. I love the shoes, they are so comfortable, I could wear them to bed. I would recommend these shoes and hopefully will be able to have them delivered to Ireland.

These trusty shoes were comfortable as I hiked Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Escalate and also the Grand Canyon. My feet never let me down. They also stayed dry. So happy I bought these shoes and Zappos delivery speed is unbelievable.

I was so glad to receive my Merrell Siren Sport shoes from you. They came promptly. The fit was perfect and I appreciated that I didn't have to shop for them. So far they have been wonderful on hikes and survive wet conditions as we have in the northwest.

I'm loving these shoes! I haven't noticed the "crinkling" sound that others have mentioned and my feet have been perfectly dry - even after running around in the Chicago-land monsoons we've had lately. Based on the fit of other Merrell shoes I own I actually ordered down a half size. (My older Merrell's are 10's, I ordered 9.5's in these and think they fit better.) I have noticed that the foot bed takes a little more getting used to than normal, but some additional breaking in should fix that.

I bought a pair of these shoes over three years ago, and I have worn them since. They have taken me to Alaska, to Europe twice and to Egypt. And I absolutely love them! It should be noted that they are kind of hot to wear, though not nearly as constricting as many other waterproof shoes. Gore-Tex is much more breathable than other waterproofing, but I feel like they are still less breathable than a shoe that is not waterproof at all. My only complaint is that they are beginning to wear out, though that is really to be expected after as much wear as I have put on them. After almost two years, they started letting water in, which was unfortunate. This is likely due to the fact that I have not cared for my shoes (cleaning them and such) as I should have. And all waterproofing needs to be treated periodically! Nevertheless, I am going to be buying another pair!

Received these shoes 3 days before leaving for an Alaskan cruise so only got to wear them for 1 day before packing. Wore them every day in Alaska; they were extremely comfortable and kept my feet warm and dry. I have never before been able to wear shoes right out of the box for an extended period of time. Just as other reviewers mentioned, I did have to go up 1/2 size.

My daughter and I both have these shoes and we absolutely love them. They were comfortable right out of the box, and required virtually no break in. We have worn them in heat, cold, rain, and they performed well under any condition. We wear them for light hikes as well as strenuous scrambling/climbing on rocks. I have had mine for a year, she has had hers for about a year and a half. They are still comfortable, and in good shape. I would highly recommend these!

I have had problems with foot pain for years. Several doctor visits later, I still suffered from foot pain. Then I tried Merrell because a friend recommended them and I have never been happier! There is no More Foot Pain! These shoes are tailored to women and the way they move. They are so comfortable and look great too! I am on my feet for eight hours at my job and these shoes have changed my life! Also purchased the Merrell Breeze Clog with the same great results! Trust me, you will love these shoes.

Love these shoes. I wore them for eleven straight days in Alaska, right out of the box. My feet stayed dry and there was no bulky feeling of a hiking boot but I had plenty of traction. The Gore tex lining made a crunch sound the first couple days but then went away.

These shoes have been my go to shoes for years. I have them in both the goretex and the regular. I use the goretex ones for hiking, and speed walking and the regular ones for everything else! No other shoe fits like these do. The arch support is great and hits just right. The construction of sole/heel cup and rocker literally propel me when walking. I can even jog in them, too. May Merrell never stop making these!

I love these shoes! As other reviewers have said, the upper is somewhat stiff, but overall it is a very comfortable shoe. I usually wear a 7½, and these in a 7½ intially felt good; however, after several hours of wear around the house, the side of my little toe on my left foot started to hurt. I do not think these shoes will stretch much in that area. So I tried the size 8 and they are perfect. Water-proof, comfortable, and not clunky is exactly what I was looking for!

I have shopped for shoes all my life and have a hard time finding a good fit. All types of feet are different, but I found this shoe to fit so perfectly for me. I love that if the fit is wrong, or for whatever, I can return and replace so quickly. I will buy my shoes from here from now on!
