I use this style as slippers but do sometimes go outside with them. They fit perfectly, are so comfortable, wear well - that is durable, look good, feel good. What more can you say for a great shoe! What's the old saying - "When you are good - you are good"!

Imagine a world where our feet decided to choose which shoes we bought! I was a runner and wingtip kinda guy for a long time before my toes started begging for the the same "elbow room" afforded them in my running shoes. These shoes respect and nurture the natural contours of my feet. My feet are healthier and happier. I suspect that is what everyone wants for their feet! It was a long time of everyday wear until I finally walked through the bottom of my Encore Gusts. Even worn thin and gnawed on my my dogs these are the most comfortable and supportive shoes I own. I am wearing them today! I did decide to buy two new pairs, brown and black, as a preemptive move for the day these start taking on water!

I am on my third pair of these shoes in the last 5 years, they are great, the only shoes that I wear anymore

This will be my fourth pair of the Encore Gust Casual shoes from Merrell. I started with my first pair from Casual Male XL, and have been ordering them online ever since. They are the most comfortable shoes for a big man on the market. I have never had a shoe that I have loved or worn any more. Usually I'm ready to kick my shoes off and let me feet relax, but with these shoes, I don't feel the urgency to take them off. They are comfortable, I work on concrete every day and the amount of cushion in these shoes help keep me from having foot pain at the end of the day. I pray they don't stop making this shoe or change the design because I don't know what I would do without them.

All leather slide. Great shoe! Looks dressy, and I can also wear it outside in rain to get work done. The quality is great, and being Merrells, of course, they are comfortable from Day 1.

I am still wearing a pair of winter shoes I bought 15 years ago...and they are still wonderful!!! You can't kill these shoes!!

I've been purchasing Merrell shoes for at least fifteen years. I purchase two pair of Merrell's every year, different models. I wear them for six months to a year and then donate them to the homeless when they are still good. The quality has always been five stars, and Merrell's fit my foot shape. I find it difficult as a senior to reach my shoes and tie laces, so I love my slip-on Merrell's. This year for Christmas I got the low back, easy slip on, Encore Gust model for using as slippers. The Encore Gust are more stable when standing or walking than a regular soft sole slipper. Highly recommend.

This my fifth pair of the Encore Gust. They were shipped in a reasonable time and the size was just right. I am always telling people that they should buy a pair. My daughter did and she is very satisfied. lkw

Has a great fit for people with mildly wider feet. They wrap nicely around the feet and can be worn outdoors everywhere, as these shoes don't fall off accidentally.

This is my second pair of the Encore Gust. I wore my last pair until the soles had holes in them. I put on my new ones and it was like i was walking on air. I love these shoes.

Over 10 years ago my dad came to visit me in Canada. We went into a mall and he found these shoes. He has been walking them ever since every day of the year, no matter snow or rain. He managed to use up only two pairs (1 brown, 1 black) in those 10 years! This summer he came to visit again and me and my mom decided his last pair was defenitely worn to the thread. So we ordered two more pairs online, since we could not find them in any store. He's a happy walker again and will probably be for 10 years again!
