I'm more than a little particular because shoes tend to hurt the sides of my feet, but these are very comfortable. My only criticism is the sole protrudes a fraction more at the front than I'd like, but rubber soled shoes tend to do that, I guess.

I agree with those who continue to compliment Zappos on their great service. Zappos continues to be my number one online shoe company. Lately, I've ordered some loafers and had to return them for any number of reasons, but Zappos always comes through with timely orders and returns. The Rockport Oak Knoll loafers I ordered, originally in a 10-1/2 seemed to run a bit small. The 11s worked just fine. I too am glad that this style penny loafer from Rockport is again available. Great looks, very good wear and very good comfort. Moderate, but comfortable arch support. A great shoe for both business and casual. Thank you Rockport and Zappos.

A good basic day to day loafer, especially if full formality isn't necessary. I'm usually a 11.5 in Rockports but had to go to 12 to get enough room in the loafer.

Received these shoes in exchange for a pair of Cole Haans. I had bought the Cole Haans three months earlier and discovered they were defective in that the sole on one shoe was too short and the leather on the toe was wearing through from walking on the sidewalks. Called CS and got the best service. I took the Rockports in exchange. They were a little less than the others but figured I'd gotten some wear out of the Cole Haans so I thought it fair. The Rockports are great and fit true to the measurements selected. Great dealing with Zappos.

These shoes run a half size large and possible a full size large. I typically wear an 11.5 and had to return that pair (of course the sale ended in between so I had to pay more for the replacement) and get an 11. Even those feel a bit large, but do well with thicker socks. Still I might have been better off with 10.5.
That said, I do like the shoe. I am still breaking them in, but they are comfortable, once I wear the thicker sock.

Not really impressed. Looked a little cheap and the bottoms have no real pattern to avoid slipping. Going to send back.

I love Rockport shoes and have several pair right now. These Shakespeare loafers look nice, but they have taken longer to "break in" than most of my Rockport shoes. The sizing is a little small for most Rockport shoes, and these were uncomfortable at first. I trusted that, since they were Rockport and leather, they would eventually break in, and they did. The fact that they are loafers may explain the smaller size--so they don't slip. All and all, they are fine shoes, but my least favorite Rockport shoes.

I have an abnormally triangular foot; the heel is much narrower than the ball, so loafers are always apt to turn themselves into flip-flops whether I wanted that or not. These shoes appeared to fall right in line with that. They comfortably accommodate the EEE width I need in front, but the back flaps and slaps. Construction seems adequately sturdy, but I miss having hard soles. These are not a shoe I would care to go wearing on a long walk or hike, but they'll do for wearing at indoors events.

Not true to size. It is supposed to be a little wide along the toe box and not an 1/8th longer along the length of the shoe. It was looser around the heel and I had to place a padding to make it fit snuggly.

The left shoe fits better than the right. Right shoe is too loose.

Rockports are my go-to shoes and the most comfortable shoes I have ever know. Unfortunately the Shakespeare Circle Loafer is too loose fitting.

I like the design and elegant leather look, but unfortunately I think some of the other reviews that prompted me to buy the shoes are overblown. I got a size 10M (my regular size), and the shoes could barely fit. I thought maybe I needed to wear them first to break them in, but that hasn't worked either.

I recently purchased 2 pair ( Black & Burgandy) . The size was tight. I wore them for a week thinking the newness was cause for the tightness. Unfortunately thty're still too tight , causing a blister. Because they've been worn for a week I don't think I can exchange them.

The sole on the toe of the right shoe sticks out further than the left and looks like a mismatch.

Not a particularly nice shoe, it doesn't look like it's leather. However it is sturdy and durable. I would definitely go up a half-size as the shoe I ordered fell smaller and narrower than advertised.

The shoe is absolutely beautiful, but...the back of shoe digs into the back of my foot...to the point that is bled. I need to take to a shoe maker to fix this.

I'm an old customer of Rockport . I'm disapointed with this purchase .The shoe quality is good ,but not comfortable as it should be ,also the size dosen't fit properly although I bought the same size I usualy do . The wingtops fits a lot better and more comfortable .I want to return it but I don't have the box.

This is the eleventeenth pair of Rockport shoes that I've owned (real number probably close to 20-30 pair). I don't When I was a retail manager trainee working my way through college, my boss recommended them. Retail is long behind me, but any day when I know that I will be walking a lot, I wear Rockports. They've been my go-to for about 30 years now, and I have to say that, they're not getting better, or even staying the same. The leather isn't as thickad it used to be. They're not like putting on a pair of slippers anymore. I got blisters on my heels when I was breaking in the pair of wing tips that I bought before the penny loafers that I recently purchased, and the most recent purchase, the penny loafers, are noticeably not the same size, even though they are labeled as such. One of my loafers feels like a maraca on my foot and flips around, and the other one compressed my toe to agony. I may give the company one more try, but the downhill quality has not been so noticeable as with this last pair.

I love the look of this shoe, which is why I've persevered.....
The first pair I bought was size 8.5. All my Rockports have been 8.5 but these shoes felt tight. I thought it may be that the leather is rather stiff and needed to wear in. After a reasonable trial I decided that I really needed a size bigger so I ordered a size 9. The size is a little better but this is the first time I have ever had to 'break-in' a pair of Rockports, the others have always been comfortable from the word go. They are still not comfortable but I'm hoping they will become so with wear - I also hope I won't suffer too much in the process.
