Years ago I wore only Rockport penny loafers. Then they became impossible to find. I tried any number of other brands, none of which fit properly. I was pleased to see the Rockports were once again available. The pair I bought fit great.

First, the service by Zappos is without parallel. I ordered the shoes at night and they came the next day! The shoes look great and with a wide foot, it is sometimes hard to find a comfortable fit. These shoes fit great from the very first slip on. I wore them for hours the first time with no issue. The toe box is wide and high so the bone spurs on my big toes do not rub. The leather is nice and supple. This is the best casual pair of Rockports I have ever owned.

This was one of my husband's Christmas presents. They were exactly what he wanted, and they arrived just as quickly as promised. We were both very pleased.

The only size thirteen that was not too small. I have them in brown. Very comfortable. Wear well. I got 'em on right now!

I'm a Rockport and Zappos fan. Shipped as promised, fits well and looks good. Experienced my first return, earlier, on another product. Zappos handled very well.

I bought these shoes for my husband, and he says the look and feel great. I was hoping the burgundy color would have more brown undertones than black, but that is an assumption I made not a fault of the maker.

These shoes are as they have been for 20 years. A great pair of shoes. The story that makes them special is Zappos. I ordered slightly too large when I placed my order and after a test around the house, thought they'd be okay. I wore them to work the first day and felt like a kid wearing dad's shoes. They slipped and slid, rubbed and chafed. They were clearly too big. I called Zappos and explained exactly what had happened. No problem! Send them back. Want to try a 10 instead? Wow. I received the new pair the next day and used the same box to ship my original pair back. Now they feel like my own shoes. I think I'll wear them for a while.

Time to order my second pair. The last pair has lasted about 8 years as my primary shoe. Worn almost everyday on shop floor of aircraft manufacturing facility. Best shoe I've owned.

As always Zappos comes through. Got them in a day and they are as expected. Shoes fit well and are what I would expect from a company like Rockport. They will be my go to shoes for just about everything from khaki pants to jeans. Thanks for the timely service Zappos!

Sometimes a medium width will fit my narrow foot. Unfortunately for me, this shoe is not one of those. I don't fault Rockport for making shoes true to size. I added felt pads and heel pads to minimize heel slippage. I realize it's a matter of personal taste but I would have preferred that the shoes weren't so shiny.

These fit perfectly. The sole is wonderfully responsive and springy. These have become my go-to semi-casual shoes.

Thank you Rockport for finally returning to the classics. This is the classic American penny loafer that big guys with big feet can look good in (I'm 6'5 and 240lbs, size 14 shoe) and feel comfy. And the soles are not super thick but are still shock-absorbing. And they weigh less than a pair of Bass penny loafers with leather soles. BTW, break-in time is only one day at most. Bravo to Rockport. Glad you are back and that Reebok did not completely ruin you.

I had a bit of trouble finding penny loafers in my area, I've been told it's a West Coast thing, whatever, this boy on the West Coast wants he loafers so he turns to Zappos who have a great selection. These Rockports have everything, great style with the beef rolls on the side and most important to me, the vamp on the back. The color is a perfect casual match for jeans or casual pants and the contrasting stitching is a unique detail. The fit is fine if a shade narrow for me and legendary Rockport comfort. You can wear these all day and not feel like you have to rest the dogs. I tend to take care of my shoes and expect these to be part of my wardrobe for many years to come. A couple of false starts with sizing and a couple of other brands (Sebagos weren't available in my size when ordering) but all in all a very satisfactory online shopping experience. Bart Gessner

Rockport version of Bass Weegins are comfortable from day one. They are not made of fine leather but rather with a more rubberized version thereof. They do not support a high polish finish as the leather is by nature, dull. Not a replacement for dress shoes but a comfortable second.

Most comfortable of six men's shoes tried for someone with neuropathies (chronic foot pain) and who has a wide foot. Open vamp and wide toe box. Not exactly a dress shoe sole, but he can live with that.

I've been looking for a penny loafer for awhile, but the women's ones don't have the solidity of the men's, and the also are too thin and puny looking, with no arch and no cushioning. I wanted one that could really pack some heat...so I tried this in a small men's size (7 wide), and I love it! Reminds me of the pair I had in my early 20s, which I wore constantly. These new ones are SO comfortable...why is it that men's shoes are made so much better than women's?!
