Excellent running shoe! This is the second pair of the Arnuva Boa 50 that I have had. Love the shoe, especially the lacing system. The support and the cushioning is very good for short or long runs. I generally wear a size 13 and have bought a 14 in the North Face Arnuva Boa 50, a hair big but the fit with the tightening of the lacing system is fine.

So far so good... I've only put about 80 miles on these so far but they seem to be working very well. They are much lighter than my Brooks Beast with equal (or better) cushioning. Being a heavy runner (215 lbs +) durability is always a concern. I'll let you know but "so far, so good."

You won't go back to non-Boas - Quite simply the best running shoes I have ever owned. Comfort, fit and cushioning are awesome. The Boa system is incredible, I can't see going back to non-Boa shoes. Order 1/2 size bigger than your normal size.

Love'em - These shoes took about 10 miles before I got used to them. There was a nub in the back that i initially felt. I used to wear adidas supernovas. But now that I’ve worn them, I absolutely love them. I wore 12s in adidas and bought 12s in these shoes. Think maybe they are a hair smaller than an adidas 12. But not really a big deal for me. The NF orthotic in the shoe kicks butt. Shoes are firm yet squishy if that’s possible. I do get some movement running downhill (trail). But overall I will be switching to these shoes after wearing adidas for the last 5 years. Want to wear the laced ones just to see the difference. Shoes feel fast.

Happy Feet - This was my first shoe of this kind. I must say I am not at all disappointed. I am running in the deserts of Iraq, the best shoe to have out here due to the rough terrain. Very light, comfortable, love the Boa lacing system. One thing I miss is better arch support.

Very good hiking/trail /walking shoe - This is my first pair of these shoes. From the moment I put them on I, they felt more comfortable than any shoe I have ever had. I do a lot of hiking in the North Cascades and these will be perfect. I also do a lot of walking on pavement, gravel roads and logging roads. I'm sure these shoes will provide the comfort and support I need. I am very impressed! For me, the size 12's were true to length and width.

Nothing to get untied! It was nice to have the dial on each shoe to tighten to exactly to the comfort level each foot needed. There was just the right amount of room for my toes and the width was perfect!. It was also light and cushioned.

The Legendary Shoe! I’m wearing them right now! The Boa system makes the shoe fit like a glove. I got them a day prior a Biathlon in Iraq. No problem breaking them in. The lacing saved time from transitioning for a swim to a run. Talk about saving time! I dried up...got my socks on and then boom! On the way. Yep make sure you get half a size bigger though.

North Face Arnuva Boa - This is my favorite shoe I have ever worn...even though it took me three pairs to find the right size. I first bough the North Face Plasma with this lacing system and after wearing it for a week I had to have this one also. In the North Face Plasma I wore a 10.5 (my regular size) but in this shoe I had to get an 11.5 to get a good fit. North Face's sizing control is horrible but this is an incredible shoe. I work out of my home so I literally wear this shoe from the time I wake until I got to bed. Couple quick things. They are very comfortable. The material seem durable but it is also very light weight shoe. I can feel the breeze through the shoe when I am walking outside. My feet always remain cool and never overheat. The lacing system is amazing and the real reason I bought this shoe. I love being able to quickly tighten them when walking or exercising and then quickly loosing them when I am sitting at my desk. The lacing system makes them very easy to get on and off...no more pulling off my shoes with unlacing them. Like I said in the beginning...these are my favorite shoes ever and I could not imagine going back to traditional laces. P.S. Order at least a 1/2 size larger if not a full size.

Wow! A terrific trail shoe for long distance (50k+) on rocky, technical trails as well as soft dirt, mud, and even roads. Very flexible, well cushioned, especially in the heel, and accommodates orthotic inserts. I love this shoe.

I got my North Face Arnuva 50 Boa's yesterday and tested them on a three mile run today and I am loving this shoe! The really brilliant thing about them is the lace system - which is very precise and just twist away from perfect lacing adjustment. The cushioning of the shoe is excellent and it is very stable offering protection from pronation and supination - rock steady. My only complaint is they really run small - at least half a size, maybe a whole size small. But just order up a half size - the perfect training shoe!

Future Tech - Great product: A nicely cushioned, moderate stability runner with a go-anywhere tread. But of course what this shoe is really about is the Boa Lacing System, found on everything from hockey skates to cycling shoes (and other North Face shoes). According to the Boa Technology website, "Tightness can be fine tuned by dialing in perfect closure force," and you'll never worry about laces again...

Great But Short Lived - These are great sneakers but if you are an avid walker or runner and you go near cement than these sneakers will only last 3-5 months (rubber sole wears out fast). I bought two pair and had to send one back to North Face because the lace tightening system failed.

Very nice shoe - I like the looks of this shoe and the lacing system is great. There is not a lot of arch support with this show so an insert would seem appropriate. If I order this shoe again I will order a 1/2 size larger. The length seems too short for the same size that I usually wear. Overall, nice shoe and I love the Zappos service. Next day shipping and no problems what so ever.

Great Shoe but lacking protection from rocks - I want to start off by saying what a great shoe this is. The first time I put them on, I felt as if they were made just for me. I bought them almost immediately. The boa system is great for micro adjustments, which result in an ultra comfortable fit. The foot bed has an incredible feel to it. The look, which really doesn’t matter, is great as well. It is a great conversation piece that’s for sure. Now here is where the shoe is lacking. I first took these shoes on a 10 mile trail run. I felt every rock I stepped on. After the 2 mile mark, I started to notice irritation on the bottom of my foot. By the end of the run, my feet really hurt from stepping on sharp rocks, and roots. I think if this shoe had a semi-flexible plate protection, it would be the shoe that ends all shoes. I could not imagine wearing these in a 50 or a 100 mile trail race. My Asics Nimbus feels like they have more protection from rocks than these shoes do.

This shoe has a seam on the inside which will tend to rub against the big toe, causing some discomfort and for mileage runners may be a serious problem. Otherwise the "boa" method of lacing is very convenient and affords a great fit around the foot.

The North Face Arnuva 50 Boa - This is a great shoe. The Boa lacing system makes it very easy to adjust the fit without much effort. I ordered one size larger than I normally wear and this is perfect. The toe box seemed a little tight at first but after a few medium distance runs they fit much better. Great product.

Boa - This is the first time I have tried this type of lace system. I really like the way it snugs the ankle area while leaving some room in the forefoot.

Comfortable but cheaply made - Bought these about 5 months ago for walking around city. I wear them for walking and to the gym. Last week I noticed that the inner mesh is already tearing on the side and toes. If they can't last for 5 months of light wear then I don't see how they could survive more that a few real trail runs.

Not worth the money - The shoe is very comfortable out of the box, but poorly constructed. Within 5 usages the inside heel was completely shredded. DO NOT BUY, not worth the money. Go to the New Balance 810, they are great, so are the Asics. Both are well constructed shoes that don't fall apart the second you buy.
