This pair replaces a previous pair of Ariels. I love them even though they are pricey. They accommodate my orthotic and keep me supported day in and day out.

Return buyer walks comfortably in her new Brooks Ariel Sneakers for pronating problem. The color grey, with subtle blue accents, is a great color combo; had the green ones before these, and can't seem to wear them out either! Love these sneakers!

I started on a walking program wearing a good shoe, but the wrong one for my foot. After dealing with foot pain, I consulted the local foot/shoe professionals where I was fitted with the Brooks Ariel. Problem solved! The Ariel is a heavier shoe, and I would almost say it is a bit "clunky," but it eliminated my foot issues. I wear it every day for my walks. My shoe is 11 B, and it even doesn't look that big on my foot. Brooks Ariel is really a great shoe if you need the kind of support it offers. Expensive, but worth it.

I bought these shoes for my daughter. She loves them. They do run about 1/2 size small, so order up 1/2 size. D Width is good for a wide foot. Great motion control shoe, great for someone with foot trouble, plus the silver/blue color looks great! Zappos customer service is wonderful as usual!

I have had a lot of trouble with plantar fasciitis with my right foot. This shoe has been very helpful with my foot getting better. It has allowed me to be able to walk and work out without pain.

My Brooks Ariels are perfect: sized properly and incredibly comfortable. I just love to shop at Zappos. The customer service can't be beat, no parking lot misery to deal with and the delivery time is amazing.

I have severe pronation and have suffered from blisters while running for years. This is the first pair of running shoes that prevent the blisters. I am finally able to enjoy running again. The color of the shoe is great, too!

The shoe came recommended to me to help with planter fasciitis and pronation. I found that I liked the silver better than the white. The white felt different on the inside. The inside seams of the white model grabbed at my toe nails where the silver did not (maybe a slight different in fabric or just the shoe I got?). I had always had white tennies in the past but have come to really like the softness of the silver color. This shoe is very supportive, holds the foot well, and keeps it stable. Lots of comfort around the ankle, too. The footbed support is great and relieves the pain associated with planter fasciitis. It's a good quality shoe and I feel comfortable in recommending it.

It is not easy for me to find a good fit in life when it comes to men and sneakers. With the latter, a dependable, reliable, pair of soft, cushy, sneakers are what dreams are made of. The Brooks Ariel are roomy and wide enough to fit my big fat bunions and give solid support for my flatter than flat feet (yes it's the double whammy). But if you are as hot as I am, and in high demand in New York, you will need a solid pair of getaway sneakers to run away from the losers, sorry, Jimmy Choo, but Brooks sneakers are the ticket.

I wear orthotics. These shoes fit them perfectly. I race walk on a daily basis. They give proper support. I have several pairs so they last a long time. My feet feel very comfortable all day long.

I love these shoes and they are worth every penny. I stopped wearing tennis shoes after 2 years in a row when I lost toenails on trips to NYC because of narrow toe box. So I had given up on tennis shoes. I am a pronator and with an upcoming trip again to NYC I needed a good shoe. I went with a running shoe this time and tried out 3 different brands in my size 12. All were too short, but I could tell the Brooks had a wide toe box. So I ordered it in a 13 and perfect fit. I walked all over NYC for 4 days with no break in, no orthotics, no toe pressure and no foot pain.

The Ariel is the only shoe which cushions my feet well enough that I don\\\'t need to wear a custom orthodic. Can\\\'t say enough good things about this shoe.

Extremely comfortable and rugged. The only fault for me is the color. Would be nice to have all solid (gray or white) because the shoe is so wide-looking.

This shoe is so comfortable. You put them on and immediately have the feeling that they are an old friend and not just brand new. Like you have walked in them and "wore them in" and you can't believe they are new. I changed to this brand because I have a problem with "new" shoes and the "break them in time". Not this shoe! Great comfortable fit from the very first walk.

My podiatrist recommended the Brooks Ariel - he was so right - they are the best shoe - very comfortable right out of the box. I wear custom orthotics with them - the heel cup is deep and accommodates orthotics quite easily. Even without my orthotics they are extremely comfortable and I'd recommend them to anyone who needs a quality motion control shoe.

Zappos & Brooks Ariel Shoes - I love my Ariels! I have a lot of foot problems and my 2 jobs have me on my feet constantly. The extra wide toe box, the extra arch support, the built-in heel cup, make this the perfect shoe for my comfort. The only thing I wish were available is other colors. My 2nd job requires me to wear all black shoes so I can't wear my Ariels. If it came in other colors, this would be the world’s most perfect comfort shoe. I recommend buying 1/2 size larger than you usually buy.

Solution for Foot Problems - About 5yrs. ago my husband on the recommendation of a friend, purchased the Beast--the male counterpart of Ariel. He was very satisfied and thought I would like them too. I've had heel spur problems for years and these shoes make standing on my feet for hours pain free. I would highly recommend them to anybody who has had foot problems.

Awesome Sneaker! The Brooks Ariel's are not only comfortable but very stylish. It's like you aren't even wearing a sneaker. The support my feet get is amazing. Wonderful shoe!

Best. Sneaker. Ever. I have the world's flattest feet and have endured bunion and tendon surgery on both. I am an extreme pronator with hyper extension to boot. Usually by the end of the day (I work in retail) my feet are so achy all I want to do is go home and go to bed. These sneakers are so comfortable that they give me more energy. I only wish they would design some stylin' shoes!

My second pair of Brooks. I will never wear another pair of tennis shoes besides a Brooks. I am a severe over pronator and I also have a neuroma in my left foot. My podiatrist recommended the Brooks for both of my foot issues. Get the wide if you have a neuroma.

I actually am returning this shoe because after wearing in my home for a few days I find that it causes my left foot to ache where I have had a previous bunion surgery. Thus it is not comfortable for me to wear these shoes. Maybe it is because I ordered them larger and wider than I normally wear, but my feet are changing with age, getting wider and thought I would try. I have other Brooks shoes and haven't had a problem before with the left foot. Maybe I will try again.

Pleased with Ariel - I have been buying these for several years. I rotate between the Ariel & Perfection due to foot, ankle & knee problems. They both keep me walking. Thank you.

The Running Shoe for the Flat of Foot!! I heard of this shoe recently. It was the first time I had seen descriptive material on a shoe that had been designed for women with flat feet. After a long, painful siege with heel spurs I wanted a sneaker that I could wear without orthotics and the Ariel fit that requirement to a T. They are comfortable from the first wearing and no pain all day.

Brooks Ariel - I purchased this particular tennis shoe because of its comfort. I have had a severe injury to one ankle years ago, and since then have difficulty finding a shoe that is wide and has a good arch support. This shoe fits the bill.
