They are the best shoes I have ever had and provide great support for my feet. These shoes allow me to keep going when my feet are killing me.

They were out of the shoe I wanted and the Zappos rep suggested these as a great alternative for support and stabilization. Boy am I glad. The best shoe I have had that fit my orthotics, are light and good looking (not my grandma's shoes). Once again the Zappos reps come through for me. I highly recommend this shoe.

I am on my third pair of Ariel's. I'm an active senior citizen with wide feet, bunions and a high instep! I have a pair for the gym and a pair for my walking exercise. Love um! Love Zappos' service also.

These are the best shoes for over pronators. My knee pain went away. Have been buying them for five years.

I have been ordering this shoe for several years now and it is excellent if you need to put an insert into the shoe. Before that I tried Nike and New Balance but was never satisfied until I came across the reviews for this shoe and decided to try it. It was comfortable from the first wear. Free shipping to Hawaii is rare and I was impressed with the speed with which my orders were sent. Wish they had it in different colors like a darker grey.

I've been wearing Brooks Addiction for at least 3 years and decided to try one with a little less support. These work really well and are a little longer in length even though they are the same size. I'd say they fit even better. They work well with my orthotics for exercising and just everyday wear. I'd like better color choices though.

Love this shoes for walking. Have not felt knee pain since I started using this for walking. It's like walking on air. My family is surprised how much walking I have been doing now.

I have been wearing this particular shoe for about 10 years. I have had a series of structural problems including lower back, two hip replacements. Despite these issues, throughout the years these shoes are the only ones I can wear every day and mostly not have pain in the problem areas. This style was recommended to me by the SF store On the Run and I absolutely recommend them to everyone.

These are the best athletic shoes I have ever worn. I have always had trouble buying sneakers and these are almost perfect. My one complaint is that the arch is a bit too high for my particular foot. When I took the inserts out they fit perfectly, but the seams of the shoes irritated my feet. I expect with a another insert they will be absolutely perfect! Definitely a must have for the narrow-heeled, wide-toe box having gal.

I have flat feet. Very flat feet. I have tried lots of other sneakers for working out, and had issues like toes going numb or aching, painful arches. These are the first shoes I've had that don't give me any of those problems. My arches felt sore at first when I wore them, but after a few times, that is no longer an issue. I think my feet were just getting used to the support. I definitely recommend them to anyone with flat feet who needs extra support for the gym. I just wish they had some other color choices.

Most comfortable athletic shoe I've had in a long time! Toe box is wide, heel fits my narrow heal and allows room for my orthotic even though mine is not nearly as soft as the insole that comes with the shoe. I needed additional arch support with my orthotic.

Seems like Brooks are made for specific fits, so I'd recommend having tried them before buying them. Once you find the right fit though, it's as if they were made specifically for your foot. I've never worn a more comfortable shoe.

Love my new Brooks Ariels. Walk 4 miles every day. Very comfortable, good arch support and would recommend them to anyone who does a good deal of walking.

Brooks Ariel is the only shoe I can wear. I have a high arch and no other company makes sneakers to fit people like me with high arch support. Brooks is also comfortable and last a long time.

The great thing about these shoes is the support and durability. I have flat feet that cause me pain in my entire body and these shoes help lessen that pain. I highly recommend them for anyone with overpronation and flat feet. The thing I don't like about them though is the color choice. Most of them are bright and unattractive. But, less pain is worth undesirable fashion. I just wish I could have both. Before these I had Asics most supportive shoe, but I don't recommend them if you will be wearing the shoe every day. The tread wears out quickly and the entire shoe breaks loses support quickly. I noticed this within 2 months of owning them. I didn't notice Brooks breaking down like that. The toe bed could also be a little bit wider despite them already being D wide.

This is my second pair of Brooks' Ariel shoes and I absolutely love them. I added my Dr. Scholl's inserts to them and they feel fabulous. I work in a hospital and am on my feet a significant amount of time. The shoes beat out my MBTs and Danskos (not cheap shoes at all) for long-lasting comfort. I wear a size 10 shoe but ordered a 10.5 for these.

Because of foot problems (bunions, pronation and weak ankles) I have a difficult time finding a good supportive shoe. This shoe, however, works incredibly well. I have worn it for 5 years now and the comfort and support is still there. I hope and pray they never change it or quit making it!

Excellent shoe for my plantar fasciitis, overpronation, and diabetic issues. This is the brand and shoe type my podiatrist recommended years ago. I was originally wearing Brooks Addiction 6 for the last 5 years and found Ariel to be better looking. Note: these shoes run smaller than Brooks Addiction. I normally wear size11 in regular shoes. But I was fitted in Brooks Addiction at 11.5 for extra toe room and to accommodate my slip-in Superfeet orthotics. So I ordered and 11.5 in Ariel, thinking they would fit just the same. Due to the design, my big toe was hitting the stitching at the front. I returned the shoes for a size 12 -- now they're a perfect fit! With Brooks I can stay on my feet for longer periods of time without being in pain. This shoe is great for stability and is extremely comfortable. Thank you, Zappos!

I love this freaking shoe! A few years ago, I was professionally fitted into it at a specialty store to use as a walking shoe. I overpronate and have width and other odd issues. Basically, almost any shoe gives me blisters. But not these! I use them as an everyday shoe. I'm so glad this particular one is still available. I recently went to another store and was told they're not in "style" anymore and was given the Brooks Adrenaline. It worked for me but was not as comfortable. I was then told later by a Brooks rep. that the Ariel and Adrenaline weren't even in the same class and I should go back to the Ariel, which I did! I hope Brooks never changes the fit of this shoe and just changes the colors if they have to keep it "in style" but hey I'm still loving the green. Honestly, the only con is the mesh air holes in the cold, winter months.

The best fitting runners I have had to date. I usually have trouble with fit as my feet run wide, but often wide shoes are too much so. These run wide enough that the B width is perfect. Great support all around.

These are great shoes. I have wide feet (often bought men's size shoes) and very low arches. My knees were killing me when I started jogging. These have made a huge difference and they were recommended to me by a running store who put me in an 11M rather than a 10-10.5W that I would usually get.

This shoe is ultra supportive. I\'ve been recovering from several broken bones and torn ligaments in my foot and this shoe has provided the much needed support as my activity level returns to normal - super active. My trainer is amazed at how much arch support there is in this shoe.

Always amazing service. I ordered shoes on a Sunday and they arrived on Monday! The staff eats, sleeps and breathes customer service. Have worn Brooks for 5 years but this one ran .5 size small. Zappos exchanged it immediately and the new ones are perfect.

These tennis shoes are wonderful. I buy two pairs at a time, one for working out and one for every day wear. The ventilated fabric keeps the feet cool and the support is great. I order up a half size in wide width, to allow room for socks. I've been wearing this shoe for several years and hope it is never discontinued. I've tried other styles, but these are the most comfortable.

I wear orthotics in both shoes. The Brooks Ariels are the only shoes I've been able to wear comfortably while being on my feet most of the day. They have the best support and motion control of any I've tried. It would be nice to have a few darker colors for winter.
