Thank you Zappos for your service above and beyond the normal and patience till I finally found a shoe that works for me. The Brooks Ariel is liking walking on clouds with a perfect arch support and perfect fit for a narrow heel with wiggle toe room for those arthritic toes and a stabilizing platform that I didn't even know I needed. My perfect shoe for a 72 year young with fibro and other things that has started me walking again. I really appreciate the videos and reviews which helped me choose this shoe and Zappos excellent service that let me return all those that just didn't work.

Just want to say thank you to Zappos. I have been wearing Glycerin 8 running shoes for a long time and when orderd the Glycerin 9 recently they did not fit. Overall too big and didn't have the cushion in the sole which I need and heel was too wide even tho I wear a wide shoe. Tried several different selections and none fit me. Sport stores did not have anything in wide to try on. Back to Zappos and tried the Brooks Ariel which fits perfectly, comfortable for bunions and very good cushioning. Love the color too. Thank you, Zappos, for free return till I could find a shoe to fit and will be ordering the Ariel again soon. Mary, Elverson, PA

I have had 3 surgeries on my foot the Brooks Ariel is the only shoe I can wear comfortably. Love this shoe and the customer service person that helped me order them.

I wore Brooks Ariel shoes years ago. I just received these after years of not having them and I am thinking, why did I wait so long? These shoes are amazing! If you have flat feet or pronate... these are your babies! Comfortable right out of the box! I'm a happy camper! But they are a bit smaller compared to Asics. I went up 1/2 size and it was perfect!

Great sneaker for walking or going to the gym. The first time I wore them I walked 5 miles and my feet felt great! No breaking in necessary! They do look a little clunky/frankensteinish but that is just the nature of this motion control sneaker. Function always outweighs fashion when you are buying sneakers for the purpose of exercise! I absolutely love brooks and will continue to buy this brand for running, walking, and crosstraining.

These shoes offer great support and cushioning, both for working out,walking and running errands. The extra cushioning is helpful for protecting my sore knees. I tend to pronate and with this shoe I don't. I would definitely purchase these again, I wish they would make them in black so I could wear them for work too. I've worn out 2 black pairs of adrenaline's, but these offer more cushioning and motion control. I have a difficult time finding shoes that fit my narrow size 12 feet.

I haven't been able to wear tennis shoes for a number of years due to various foot problems. While waiting for my orthodics to be made I did a lot of research for the best shoes for my foot problems. I tried another brand, besides these, and the Brooks were the best. I can even wear these shoes without my orthodics. These run true to size. If you want to wear your orthodics along with insole provided, I would suggest going up 1/2 size. I would suggest these shoes to anyone with feet problems. And, of course, Zappos is the greatest. I first ordered a 1/2 larger and wasn't sure if they might be too big. Zappos sent me my normal size so I could compare the two and I ended up sending back the larger size.

Shoe is very beautiful. It is very stiff. I had a lot of pain in my feet after walking, esp. after very long walks. This has improved after a month or so but is still there. It does keep me from pronating, which is why I bought the shoe. I do like the shoe.

I have a narrow heel, wider foot at the toe box. This shoe is comfortable and corrects for over pronation. I had difficulty walking for any length of time because of a falling arch and arthritis in the joint of my left foot. These shoes correct enough so that i no longer feel limitations! What a relief! My foot is actually a 10. 1/2 but due to width and socks, i am really happy with the 11.

These are my new favorite shoes! I've never worn Brooks before, so ordering these was an experiment. I ordered a 7.5 EE, which is what I normally wear in an athletic shoe, and they fit perfectly. They have wonderful cushioning and support for my arthritic feet, I love the silver-blue colors, and I'm very happy with these shoes. Thanks, Zappos!

Best shoes I have had in years! I have a wide forefoot, but these shoes still give my toes room to move. Great cushioning and stability. My legs and feet feel great before and after my run. I will get another pair of these for when these wear out.

Shoe is a little heavy. It is very wide in the toes and therefore kind of loose in the toe. I have a wide foot and got the normal width and it is plenty wide. Shoe is very comfortable with ample cushioning. I have purchased Brooks Addiction in the past and thought I would try this shoe instead, really just based on the color. I was tired of blue and white. Brooks needs to listen to consumers and offer more color choices. I would wear this shoe more and not just for walking if it were black. I would buy this shoe again. Overall I am pleased with it so far. Its working out well for walking. Because of the color though, I wouldn't really wear it much any other time.

Love my new shoes. Think this is the 3rd pair of Brooks Ariel I have ordered from Zappos. Really like that you pay shipping and pricing is the same as other places that I have checked.

I have flat feet and over pronate (I basically walk on my ankles!). This shoe helps out so much. I used to walk like a duck with my feet pointing outwards but when I have these shoes on I walk with my feet straight in front of me like a normal walker. I wish it came in different styles and colors, though. With my very flat feet regular width shoes are usually too snug so I chose the wider width and that worked out perfectly.

I love these shoes! My feet are very flat and wearing these shoes I can walk long distances without foot fatigue and pain. I wish this construction was available in a walking shoe. The Addiction walker is pretty good, but not as structured as the Ariel.

If you have problems with your feet, these are the shoes for you! I can now walk for hours (even 18 holes of golf). And my feet feel great! Awesome!

These are like stepping into a cloud...and that is hard for me, as I have a bunion & hammertoe on one foot. Plus, I overpronate! It is going to be very hard to ever leave a Brooks shoe.

Just received these shoes today. I love these shoes. They don't look too orthopedic and they feel great. We are going on a 2 month trip with lots of walking and I am taking these shoes because my heels (plantar fasciitis) do not bother me when I have these shoes on.

Very comfortable walking shoes. Also great for jogging on the treadmill. I've always had good luck with Brooks. Only complaint would be the lack of color choices.

I don't normally write reviews, but felt the need to provide feedback on Zappos due to my ongoing excellent customer experiences. These are the third or fourth set of the same shoes that I have ordered in the past and I am really happy with the Ariels. They provide a lot of stability and comfort for me. I have been especially happy with the service I received from Zappos. I ordered these shoes at 11 pm on a Thursday and they were at my door when I got home from work the next day! I was impressed by the speed in which they processed and delivered my order, and have had the same experience recently while ordering shoes for my children from Zappos. I will definitely order from them again!

This is the third (fourth?) time I've ordered these same shoes from Zappos (I walk a lot and know one needs to replace walking shoes at least twice a year) and have never been disappointed. The best part is that they always end up shipping them sooner than expected. I usually have my shoes within three days of ordering them without paying extra.

I've worn Brooks for years, the best for over-pronators with the wide last - great support. I used to run in them & now I use them for Jazzercise.
