Best work shoe I have had. I believe that it, technically, does not quite meet uniform regs as it does not have a safety toe, but if a superior officer ever decides to actually show up at my duty station and cares about whether my toes are protected from the occasional dropped tablet or capsule, so be it. Anyway, when I was in the civilian sector I swore by the Dansko closed back clogs to wear in the busy pharmacy, unfortunately those are not regulation at all. I was thrilled to see that Dansko came out with this style.

This is my second pair of these shoes. I'm a big, heavy and old with arthritis in my feet and these shoes allow me to walk. Literally. Lots of support, arch not too high, hell, I never even wore out the shoelaces on the last pair. There's nothing wrong with the style, it just is what it is. The real many-star review is for Zappo's itself. Feet change size and shape. I sent back two other pair before I got it right. Perfect service, prompt returns, no hassle. Have loved Zappos for almost twenty years, now. So, don't hesitate to try 'em, you have nothing to lose.

This is a great shoe for anyone who is on their feet all day. It’s very stiff and supportive, great arch support. If you have an orthotic you can use that too. I have plantar fibroma/fasciitis and achilles tendonitis and these shoes help a lot. I’m a flight attendant and am thankful for these shoes. I think they look more like a cross between a boot and a clog than a dressy shoe. If you need a great supportive shoe, give these a try.

Excellent shoe if you need to be on your feet all day. Also good looking to be worn with formal office wear.

Bought these for my son who does a lot of walking in his work. He loves them! Says he's never worn a more comfortable or durable shoe.

I bought this shoe because I wanted a comfortable pair that I could work in all day standing. This shoe is durable and looks good but they don't cut it for standing all day long.

Super amazing. I decided to give Dansko a try since I have heard so many good things about them. I don't think the classic clog looks too good on men, so I tried this style. I am SOLD on this brand. I work 50 hour weeks on my feet the whole time as a front end supervisor at a grocery store. These shoes are up for the challenge, and they keep getting more comfortable, but the support doesn't break down at all. They can go through any kind of mess, any kind of weather, and any kind of terrain. I find myself not even wanting to take my shoes off when I get home from work because they are so comfortable. I also find myself wearing these on my days off from work with jeans, and they look good. I know these shoes will last years. I will now be a loyal Dansko fan, and of course I will always order from Zappos.

Third pair. This shoe is an all time favorite for my husband. He is on his feet all day and he no longer has issues after a long day on his feet. Dansko provides great arch support.

Got these for my husband with plantar fasciitis (which I cannot spell). He loves them because of their firm sole.

These are my go to kitchen shoe. I've been wearing this style for 10 years +. I've tried a few other brands in that time but always come back to Dansko Walker. Being on my feet at least 9 hours a day this shoe offers everything I need in a kitchen shoe. Great support (my feet or legs don't hurt after a long day), it's rugged and looks good, and cleans up easily. Not to mention slip resistant. I even have a second pair I wear outside of work. Two weeks ago I ordered another pair from Zappos, which was my first time ordering from Zappos. The whole transaction was excellent, and I received my shoes in two days. When I need another pair i'll def. order from Zappos again.

Bought these shoes to replace the same shoes purchased two years ago. Comfortable fit right out of the box.

Excellent fit and arch support. Quality materials and durable construction. The shoes are comfortable after about a day of breaking them in. They are suitable for those who spend extended periods of time on their feet. They have a somewhat clunky appearance. They are more suitable for casual than dress attire.

These are excellent shoe. They are well built like shoes used to be made with rigid components - which makes them really suited for standing and walking all day. They have a nice simple look. They are built wide, without a wide size - giving me a good spacious fit.

Working in a restaurant requires a lot of up time on my feet. Eight hours is usually the minimum, sometimes as many as eighteen without much time to sit down. That much time standing and walking requires a good shoe to compensate for my lack of respect for my feet. I write this review three years after having purchased my first two pairs and as I am about to order another two pairs. After having tried six other brands and various models of shoes I have rested on these and have little intention of switching shoes until these are no longer made. My feet run a little wider than the average foot by my estimation making finding a particularly comfortable and safe pair of shoes difficult. These Dansko Walkers in size 44 work perfectly for my 10.5-11 double wide American sized foot and have kept me from rolling my ankles as is a common problem with wide feet in a not-so-wide shoe. As far as upkeep is concerned I definitely suggest a brisk polish with standard black shoe polish as regularly as the busy working class fellow can manage. I have polished them about once a week to once every-other week for most of my tenancy in these shoes and up until these last six months it kept them looking rather new and fresh. At the end of these three years the wear I have noticed first would be the laces beginning to fray at the rivets due to the stress over the years, secondly the leather began to crack along the bend of my toes particularly along the sides, and finally the back lining of the interior heel section wore away in one pair leaving the stuffing exposed. All this being said, none of these issues appeared until the final days of the life of soles of the shoes - which wore down so flat that the slip resistance did not begin to fail in either pair until two years and six to eight months in. I rate only four stars for style as the shoe looks somewhat clog-like as it lacks a separate vamp to cover the top of the foot which I feel could be the only improvement upon the shoes look itself. The interior of the shoe including the arch support is all leather and very comfortable. I have had little issue with foot sweat with a proper pair of moisture wicking work socks snugly between my foot and these shoes. Also having a rather high arch has not been an issue with these shoes as the arch support is more than adequate without being overbearing. All this said, I am clicking the order button now and look forward to another three years of comfort and reliability from my Dansko Walkers.
