I rarely write reviews, but it this case I'll make an exception. I've been wearing the Dansko Walkers for about 4 months as a work shoe, and they are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. In my job I end up standing on concrete floors for hours on end. Sore back, sore knees, and sore feet are part of the gig. So I'm always on the lookout for a good comfortable shoe. These are it. If they made these in brown I'd never wear anything else.

These shoes are a little stiff at first but after they are broken in, they fit well. They are the best built shoe that I have seen in sometime. Well made, and built to last. Good job Dansko.

Very durable shoe with excellent arch support. They do take a while to break in but once you do they are so comfortable.

I cannot say enough about these shoes. I have had problems with my Achilles from heel pain to tendonitis. My foot doctor recommended me get a pair of boots because heels would help my problem. I tried boots. Not for me. I looked for other shoes with heels and saw Dansko brand. These shoes are nice. They are helping with my problems. I takes a little time to get use to them. They work. I cannot say enough about Zappos, I have tried different shoes and they have taken them back with no problems. If you have feet problems, you may want to try Dansko.

I had heard of Dansko shoes from my sister and a few peers, yet had neglected to actually check them out. I had been purchasing cheap-o shoes with a similar aesthetic from Wal-Mart and Target for years, all of which broke down on me a few months later. I do a lot of walking and standing in my work place, so I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a pair. So far, 3 or 4 weeks later, I love them. Comfortable, stylish and very durable. I would recommend this brand and even more so this style of shoe. Enjoy!

Great shoes to replace older style with nubuck leather. This leather is much easier to treat and keep looking better. Bought for husband to wear at large plant with concrete floors and large yard area. He really loves them for work. A bit of heel keeps his back from hurting.

Although I really like the shoe, these do seem small? I had to purchase much thinner socks in order for these to not feel tight. I also, don't tie them tight, I tie them very loose so that my feet don't end up hurting. The construction of the shoe is sold, and I really like the design. I might purchase another pair if these wear out but I will keep looking for a better pair.

Just bought a second pair of these to replace one that is wearing out after years of frequent use. Big plus is for me is that they have a thick removable insole that can be replaced with an orthotic. They look a bit clunky, especially on my size 13 feet, but they offer a lot of support for standing, and they're decent for walking.

Well-made upper and long-lasting sole. Wrote a previous review complaining about heel slipping, but that was due to not using the insole. Having reinserted the original, their is no slipping but now the toebox isn't as roomy. Had been using Birkenstock insoles which don't go into toe area thus allowing wiggle room; now there isn't so much. Not pinching, but not as roomy as without original insole. Have worn over a year and they've held up wonderfully. If I would change anything, it would be thinner insole in toe area or even wider toebox. Otherwise, it's a good shoe

The sizing of the shoe is perfect in as much as, between 12 or 13, mfgs aren't consistent along different brands and you can have a shoe that is too small, just right, or too big. The length is spot on. The problem --and first reason why 3 stars-- is that needing a wide toe box assumes that you need a wide heel. This is NOT the case and so I have to lace them extra tightly to keep my heel from slipping too much. They still do and woe unto me if I ever have to break into a light jog, but they stay on as long as I maintain a leisurely pace. The second reason for 3 stars is that the insoles in the shoe are horrible and I couldn't imagine anyone standing on them for more than 5 minutes let alone all day! I put in my Birkenstock insole inserts in and they are way better. Birkenstocks aren't worth the money and repairing them is near-to-impossible unless they are the sandals; can't get the soles. Anyway, I like the shoe, but be warned that if you're buying it for more toe room, your heels are likely to slide out unless you wear thick socks and/or lace 'em extra tightly. Also, you'll need to replace the solid insoles with something that provides arch support and comfort. Good luck!!

Overall comfortable, although took a while to break in. It's very stiff, so I wish there were a loop on the back to help get them on.

I wear size 41, and I order 41 for this shoes. This is my first pair of Dansco, and I did not how they were going to fit compare to my Pikolinos, eccos, birkerstock, etc, etc. They are a little bigger than my other shoes, but with thicker socks, and they feel ok. So far, I am happy with them, they are very comfortable, and with more use, they will get better. Thank you.

I wish there was a size 9.5, b/c the size 9.5/10 was just a bit too big. I probably would've kept them had they fit, but some of the other reviews have it right when they talk about how stiff the shoes are. My wife swears by Danskos, though (i.e., their comfort), so maybe it's just an acquired feel.

These are wonderful shoes. I am kind of a big guy who needed support. The only downfall, was that I should have gotten them a little wider. I will definitely will order again, just a little wider this time. I love them.

Size and fit were great. The biggest issue is the sound that comes out as you walk. The shoe is marketed as a new environmental leather but that is bull! The mere fact is its a noisy shoe! Period!

Well made shoe with quality materials. Good slip resistance. Shoe is tight across the middle of my foot. The insole in very comfortable.

I've had these for about a year and after a few weeks, ended up going back to my old shoes. They didn't "breath" well, felt clunky, and I got comments from co-worker asking why I was wearing dress shoes. They were comfy for about the first 5 hours per shift. PS: I'm a 12-hour shift nurse.

Tight and really inflexible. Maybe this would change in time but I returned them.

Not pleased. Not a shoe for SW Florida. It was hot and not breathable. Kinda hard to break in.

rather walk on hot coals than wear these cramped prisons on my feet

I bought these shoes for work thinking that my feet wouldn't hurt as much with these shoes as they did with others. After a few hours of standing, my feet are killing me. They also fell apart on the inside within a few months and zappos would not replace them. I will be trying other brands for work.
