They were out of my regular size, so I tried one size up. No luck, but it is a shame, because they are so aesthetically appealing.

Love these shoes! I have a short, wide foot with a high instep and these fit great. They look fantastic with jeans, dress pants and dresses. My husband calls them my "naughty librarian" shoes.

They have a sexy '40s look that goes with everything. They are also very comfortable. I have a wider foot and a high instep and the toe box is roomy and the ties lets me adjust them for comfort. Usually I have to buy a size larger so they fit the width and height of my foot but these I can get in just the right length. This means I bought a size smaller than I normally wear. I'm going to get a brown pair too and I wish they had them in tan/taupe and in red.

What a classic shoe. I wear these to work and they go great with more conservative workwear. As with the Ryder and Rae shoes, I've found you have to order one size down from your regular Dansko size. I wear a 39 and they were way too big, but the 38 fit perfectly. The black is really nice and the brown is truly my favorite. The stitching really makes the shoe more attractive. With these on I get so many compliments. They are comfortable for walking around the office on both hard and carpeted flooring. What a great shoe!

The size that I needed was not in stock, so I ordered the next size up. No luck. Order your regular Dansko size and you'll be fine. These shoes are really beautiful, and it's a shame I had to return them. Great quality, nice heel height.

Great comfortable dressy shoe -- definitely larger size than marked, probably just shy of a full size bigger. I usually wear a 38 in Danskos, 37 feels fine in this shoe with stockings or really thin socks.

These shoes look so stylish and retro, but they fit so comfortably like a Dansko should. I love the platform in addition to the heel. They look great with skinny jeans, skirts or dresses. I ordered mine a size smaller than normal and have no complaints.

Just as someone said below, it doesn't even feel like I'm wearing heels. Almost all my shoes are Dansko, and I was worried about the fit straight out of the box in my size 41, but they fit like a glove. No breaking-in needed, no pinch in the toes or heel, just a perfect fit. These will be my main shoes all winter long - in jeans, dress pants, or skirts. Well worth the price!

I love these Dansko's, they are really cute with skinny jeans and they work well with a business suit or skirt. But the bonus is that they are great if you are on your feet a lot, it's a Dansko after all. The leather on the brown ones is all crinkly, so they went back. Too bad I needed brown, but the black ones are great. Thanks Zappos.

I love these shoes! They are cute, comfortable and go with practically anything - I can literally wear them all day and still be comfortable by the time I get home.

I am so in love with these shoes that I'm going to buy a diamond and get down on one knee. They are so comfy and go with everything (except summer dresses, so Dansko, please get on making these in tan or cream!). My other Danskos are a 38 and have the appropriate heel-slip thing going on, but I took the other reviewers' advice and ordered down. I'm glad I did...so I'm a 7.5 or 8 and got a 37. And now that they're worn in, I can even put a liner in for extra comfort. These shoes totally rule.

Am I really wearing a high heel? I'm asking because I don't, at least not most of the time. But these were for an important meeting and I decided I would manage through the probable discomfort. But there was no discomfort! They are as comfortable as my Professional clogs! How can this be? I have the Beth and those don't feel this good. These feel good! Bonus points: the tie makes it fit my high instep. The only thing I wish is that it didn't have staples along the bottom, attaching the leather to the sole. But that's small points. Love this shoe -- big time!

Absolutely fabulous shoes! I haven't been able to wear heels for a few years because of arthritis in one foot, but I can wear these! Dansko comfort I have come to expect with a fashionable flair, adorable with slacks and jeans! I did have to order a smaller size than I normally do with Dansko to keep the heel from slipping.

These are fantastic shoes. The first weekend I had them, I walked several miles - a whole day of playing tourist - and was sure I'd be uncomfortable, but not at all. Not one blister or tight spot. Everyone compliments them. Can be worn with jeans or dressed up.

These Dansko Rory shoes are so cute! They have been exactly what I have been looking for, not to mention Dansko! I haven't had much of any discomfort except for my trip to Las Vegas. Walked in them down the strip and I was in so much pain. But every day use at work I am completely fine! Probably the hustle and bustle of Vegas. I love these shoes and I will never stop wearing them. Your heel will come up a little when you walk just like any other Dansko but that is normal. I love the toe I think the best. Don't hesitate to get these shoes!

Size choice: I wear a lot of Danskos, most in 39, but some in 38. This one fits great in the 38. My foot is an 8D, with a high arch. This would work for C widths too, because of the ties, and probably B's. But I don't think this is the shoe for narrow feet. Looks: This is really cute, in a fashionably retro way, especially for such a wearable shoe. Well suited for work, play, a moderate amount of city walking, and even dancing. Works with skirts, leggings and of course pants. Probably jeans too. Have worn only around house so far, but I think this is going to be my go-to shoe this fall/winter. Danskos are great, and Zappos is fabulous!

My feet hate high heels. These were extraordinarily comfortable right out of the box. I will order more! Finally, a heel I can wear.

I heart this shoe! I have regular Dansko clogs, sandals as well as the Dansko Ryder. The fit is the same as the Ryder -- at least a half size big. My clogs and sandals are a 38. In both these and the Ryders I had to go down to a 37 and I still have some room. They are incredibly comfortable and stable for a 3 inch heel and oh so stylish! I'm so glad I splurged on these!

I've been looking for a black oxford heel that's comfortable. Thank goodness for Dansko! I have received many compliments on these shoes. They look great with pants or skirts. They give great height, but because of the platform, don't kill your feet at the end of the day. You can tighten the laces if you need them to be more snug. Great dress shoe!

These are the cutest, most comfy Danskos! Fit like a glove!

This is a daymaker of a shoe for me. I can\'t often wear heels because of stability issues, but I can wear these with no problems thanks to their chunky heel and extremely sturdy and well-designed sole. Bonus: the not-too-obvious platform makes a three-inch heel feel like a two-inch heel, which is perfect for someone like me. To top it all off, they\'re cute, with a retro vibe that looks great with either pants or skirts, and they\'re very friendly to being funked up with fun socks. Well worth the investment. One warning: I needed to go a full size smaller in these than I usually do in Danskos.

I bought these in black and after wearing them once, ordered them in brown. They are an extremely comfortable heel and a cute spin on the oxford/granny shoe. More stylish and less clunky than I usually think of Dansko as being. I only wish it came in more colors.

Love this shoe! Once I got the right size (started out too small because I was impatient and my usual size wasn't in stock) this shoe fits like a dream. It's a little loose in the heel but it "feels" right somehow, not sloppy or too big, just a comfortable slip like you were wearing clogs. Arch support is excellent; I'm standing straighter in these than I do in flats. Because it doesn't absorb shock, the wood platform would be tiring to walk on hard surfaces all day, I think, so if I had to do that I would add some FootPetals or a gel ball-of-foot pad.
