I love Danskos and previous shoes (in clog style) have lasted years. I bought this shoe about 11 months ago. Lots of compliments and overall very comfortable. However - in that time - the elastic on the straps have ripped, the insole of the right shoe dislodged and wrinkled, and now the sole of the right shoe cracked in the location along the base of my toes. These problems indicate a quality issue that I have not previously experienced in Danskos. To pay this much money for a shoe only to last 11 months is not my cup of tea. I think I'm looking for another manufacturer of black Mary Janes.

As much as I tried, these shoes are just not good for being on your feet for long periods of time. After a night of bartending, I'd have to get home to ice my knees and put a heating pad on my back. They're good for a couple of hours, no more.

These shoes are so cute but the elastic at the connection of the strap to the shoe does not hold up. I never try to slide the shoes off without undoing the buckle, but the elastic is still over-stretched. Zappos was kind enough to replace the shoes once for this problem, and three months into owning the replacements, the elastic is over-stretched. I only wear them a few times per week, and still, they are now too loose. Oh, well.

Shoes are very cute, however their construction is poor. The elastic on the buckles will snap within 2 weeks of normal wear. The strap will completely detach from leather. Not the Danskos I know! I've owned 3 pairs of Danskos that are still in great shape after years of wear. I tried this style twice, and do not recommend them due to their poor design. Thank you Danskos for being almost as good as Nordstroms with your return policy. Other than the woman on the helpline that was accusatory and rude the return was an easy process with the first pair of shoes that broke. This second pair broke after 10 days of wear! And I was almost afraid to call even though Zappos boasts a 365 day return policy. We'll see how this goes.

These were the cutest shoes, but I had to return them. I have always worn a regular width shoe, but Danskos are truly made for narrow-footed people. I love my Dansko clogs, but only because they are in the wider size. I wore these shoes around town for an afternoon, and nearly cried in Target because my feet hurt so bad. Oh well - the returns system at Zappos was very quick and helpful, I just wish I\'d found a pair that fit!

Wore these all over New Orleans brick roads and a few cocktails. These shoes provided extended comfort and stability. Feet felt great the next day, I ordered the open tie version as well! I've got serious back issues so for all you neck and back people don't be afraid. Get a cute & comfy shoe.

This is my third pair of Savanna (red, brown and now black). Great for work, can stand all day. Only complaint is the elastic holding the buckle eventually breaks way before the shoes are worn. I have replaced them on two pairs of Savannas as well as my Dansko sandals. But they are so comfortable and cute its worth it!

I have a pair of the professional Danskos and I needed a pair of shoes to wear with skirts, dresses and dress paints. These are great. They are also very comfortable. I am a teacher who travels between buildings and these never hurt my feet.

I needed shoes comfortable enough for walking and hours standing that could also be dressed up or down. These fit the bill! I went for the 38, which felt a bit snug at first, but the shoes have already stretched enough to be comfortable and my Danskos in 39 have always eventually become too floppy. I'm not mad about the design on the toe. I agree with other reviewers that it scratches a bit. However I mostly wear socks so it doesn't bother me. I otherwise really like the style of the shoe.

Review Text: I got these shoes for work. I work for a Four Season as a waitress. We just changed our uniforms and we had to switch to brown polish able shoes. I had bought 3 other shoes before this. They all made my feet cry in pain. I had to put so many bandages on my feet. Someone told me about Dansko and how good they r. So I thought well I got nothing to loose. I got them a few days ago, and LOVE them! They r super cute for one. But the main point is my feet do not hurt. Not even one bit. I ordered a size 42 because others said they run a bit small. I am normally a size 11. I am glad that I did. They fit perfectly! Seems like they have a higher arch inside. Roomy toe area. And the strap underneath is a bit padded, so it is comfortable on the top part of your foot. Hope this helps. They sure did miracles on my poor feet!

I love Danskos and own many pairs. I have been looking for a sweet Mary Jane type of Dansko to replace an older style, and this was perfect. The heel is nice and adds a little height, and it is not to tall and easy to walk in. The design is so cute (especially for Dansko!) and I get compliments every time I wear them. The strap is a little thin and I can see how some reviews talk about it stretching or breaking. I hope that will not happen to my pair, I love them!

I took these shoes on a trip to Turkey knowing that i would do lots of walking. They are the best buy that I have ever made on shoes. They are so comfortable that I continue wearing them every day and of course they are cute! My recommendation are extremely high! I love them!

I absolutely love this shoe! I have rheumatoid arthritis, so comfort is a top priority. This shoe is comfortable enough to wear all day. It also looks great with either pants or a skirt. I got compliments on these shoes from the first day. I would definitely recommend them. I own a number of pairs of Dansko shoes and sandals and the workmanship and quality are unsurpassed. They last for years, even with frequent wear. Couldn't be happier!

I needed something for those times when I need to look presentable, but when the full high-heel effect would be a bit too much. These are extremely comfortable and cute, and I can put them with either jeans or a skirt. Even though they look semi-flat, they actually have a decent amount of height to them without really putting you up on your tiptoes, because of the platform in front. It's nice to be a little informal and still get that little of the boost in height that I enjoy with my pumps. It's hard for me to get Dansko sizing right - sometimes I'm a 40, sometimes a 41. This time I was a 40 and it's not snug at all, so I'd say if you tend to be in-between sizes usually, you might go for the lower size with this one.

Nice, stylish, and comfortable shoes. The front part of the shoe was a bit snug initially,and the back a bit loose, but the shoes are very comfortable to wear despite this.

I'm happy with mine! I've had other Dansko clogs for a few years in the regular brown as well as the black patent. These are less 'clunky' looking and are really cute with cords and bootcut jeans. They seem to have more of a narrow fit than the others, which to me correlates to more support, less shifting around in the shoe. Cute with or without socks, depending on the outfit. Small amount of breaking-in required, I think due to the more slim fit but I am not bothered.

I just love all the softer dansko footbeds. After wearing the hard footbeds for years these are like going to work in my slippers. Great fit on even my slightly wide foot. Comfy right out of the box. Super cute with jeans or a skirt.

These shoes are true to fit, supportive, comfortable and stylish. For someone with high arches these are good shoes.

I love this shoe so much that I am ordering a second pair in the same color, just as backup for when the first pair wears out (which could be a while yet and they're pretty well constructed).

This shoe is beautiful BUT the strap across my foot was most uncomfortable. I walked on carpet and it still hurt the top of my foot. So disappointed! Love the style! I am a conference facilitator/meeting planner and I would not be able to tolerate this strap all day, walking on conference/hotel floors. I'll try again. Zappos has never let me down! My feet are in love! These are the best Danskos I've ever worn. Comfort, support, style.

I love the look of these shoes and much cuter than my other Danskos. I was looking for Danskos with an open top, since after wearing my others for a month straight I managed to irritate the top of my foot and my big toe. Now I'll have options to swap them out with, and these are cute enough to wear with skirts. In typical Dansko fashion, they do slip in the heel, and I can see how that might put some strain on the buckle that it might not stand up to (hence my 4-star overall). We'll see. The heel and platform combo is perfect - I can wear my long slacks without a problem.

Wanted to love these shoes but I have bunions and they cut right across the bunions.

I love my new Dansko Savanna. My friend at work told me about Dansko shoes. This is the first pair of Dansko I have bought. My feet were hurting me from wearing cheap shoes. I decided to purchase a pair of Dansko and my feet are not hurting anymore.
