My usual size is an 8, however this boot was too tight across the top of my foot to be comfortable, nice looking leather and finish to this boot.

Love the style but let's be honest: this "forest night" boot is GREEN. On my computer screen, it looks brown, but I got my pair today and they are dark green. Sizing: The 39 is narrower than a Dansko Professional 39. I have wide feet and big-toe issues, so I think a 40 will fit just right and allow for moderately thick socks. I am sad to give this beautiful pair of boots the boot, but the color and the size don't work for me.

Ordered a 10 which is my size, it definitely fits well. My heel lifts a little bit more than I want it to, but a 9 1/2 I think would be too snug. The only thing I don't like is that this is my second day wearing them, and I scuffed the side near my toe. The outside is plastic, so therefore the plastic coating rubbed off and now there is a small grey area. Only noticeable to me (for now), but quite annoying. They clearly aren't meant for every day usage (which I wanted to wear them for). Can't return them now; I may just invest in a sharpie to cover anything that scuffs off. Super cute (I got them in black) and since they're Keen's they are comfortable with no issues.

Absolutely love the look of these boots! Unfortunately, because of my bunions, they're too tight in the instep. I still love Keens:-) And I LOVE ZAPPOS!!!

I really love these boots! They look very stylish and edgy, but they're comfortable, too. I'm able to tuck skinny jeans into them with no problem. The only issue I've had with them so far is that the instep is a bit snug, so that sometimes my socks get turned funny in them, and I'll have to take my foot out and straighten my socks, then start again. Otherwise, they are my favorite boots in a long time. Love the Forest color, too.

I wanted a boot to wear with skirts that had a riding boot flair. This style was what I wanted. The product info said the boot was leather lined. The leather in the shaft felt like plastic. I went into REI to see if their leather felt differently. The display ones in a smaller size were wonderfully lined. My size, however, had the cheap plastic feeling lining. Wonder how the size you order will be. My size is an 8 1/2. The rating I give this boot reflects the discomfort of the shaft lining. I size up one half in Keen.

I was looking for a boot to wear in wet and winter conditions as well as I will be walking a lot in these. I cannot comment on the waterproofing yet, but they are comfortable and look nice. I am a loyal fan of the Keen look, I have many Keen shoes, and sandals and so does the rest of my family. These boots lack the signature Keen "look" of the toe, though. That I am disappointed about but I am hoping the quality will be what else Keen always delivers.

These are so cute! However they did not fit around my calves. I had to return them because they did not fit around my calf bare and I tend to wear boots over jeans so they definitely would not have fit even that way. If they came in wide calf they would've been a real winner!

The previous Keen boot which was the same as this one had a better fix and the quality was better. This one seems large despite it not being the wide calf. The previous Baby Bern Boots lasted me years with one zipper replacement and thousands of wears, including heavy duty yard work. Very disappointed in this Keen Boot. Not sure what happened to the quality

These were so cute but were too tight for me. I have wide feet and was hoping that the round toe box would work for me. I used to fit this brand without having to get a wide but postpartum, doesn't work anymore.

The boot was very comfortable but I need a waterproof boot and this was only water resistant. Also it was wide in the calf but narrow in the ankle. Looked really strange and hard to tuck in jeans.

I loved these boots and found them perfect for city walking until the soles cracked right under the ball of the foot. This doesn't seem to be an uncommon problem, since the salesman at the Keen store found photos of other cracked soles online. Unlike other types of boots with soles that can be replaced, these can't be fixed and their warranty is short. Shouldn't a pair of good leather boots be expected to last more than a year?

Tried these along with several other similar boots. These fit fine, and I liked that the calf buckles are adjustable. However, I wasn't as fond of the styling in the foot of the boot, the lack of traction on the sole, and the texture of the leather. The toe box also seemed kind of weirdly shaped; I don't think they would have been comfortable after a while. Other Keen shoes have worked well for me; just not these. I ended up going with a boot made by North Face instead.

So, I purchased this boot a year ago in brown and loved it so much I wanted it in black. I finally bit the bullet this year and wore them the other night. Something felt different about them from the start, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Today, I was trying to decide to wear the black or the brown boots, and when I had them side by side, I realized that my brown boots are ALL leather, and these black ones are MADE IN CHINA and not all leather! I am shocked. Unfortunately, I can't return them since I have already worn them, but I definitely would have done so had I figured this out before wearing them! What a bummer. So, Keen is making them cheaper but still charging the same price. Nice. I wonder if the brown ones are still all leather? Or if they are all being made this cheap now. Otherwise, the boot fits great and I love that there isn't much of a heel. Like I said, I ordered the brown ones last year and LOVE them, so maybe some colors are still all leather? I ordered a half size smaller than I usually wear and they fit perfectly as they will stretch a bit (if they are all leather).

For the reviewer who pointed out snidely that the buckles are adjustable: even w/ them completely undone I could not get this zipped over my calves. My calves may not be skinny but I am certainly not fat - and this was w/o even leggings on. If you have skinny calves give them a shot, otherwise forget it.

I've had these for 1 year and I've been satisfied, but not enough so to repurchase them. Comfort is pretty good, but does not have the excellent arch support that Keens used to boast. They aren't flat, but could be more supported. Leather wear: The leather does not stay looking nice for long. I use a leather lotion on them nearly every time I wear them. They scuff so easily. I've seen a few other people wearing the light tan they had a few years ago in the same style and theirs looked so weathered! The ankle and foot takes the brunt of the wear. For myself, the calf fits tightly so the ankle section is always bending and stretching with walking and movement so the ankle is worn the most and bunches when they are on. I've very careful around our dog because all it takes is one paw to make them look dry and scuffed. I do still get some compliments on them so they must not look too bad. Traction: fair to good; better than many boots out there, but not phenomenal. Calf size is slightly larger than normal, but not enough to be considered wide. The gorring is nice. Warmth: fair to good. I wear wool socks with them. The thick sole protects from the cold ground, but the air temp does cool down the leather so warm socks are great.

I enjoyed these adorable boots for about a year and a half (about two seasons a year), wore with skirts, pants, got complimented on them and they were so comfortable. But the sole cracked at the ball of the foot, which really surprised and disappointed me. I let Keen know in hopes that they'd pay attention to the durability of the sole in the future. So much for waterproof or even water-resistant after that. I couldn't continue to use them. Fortunately the wonderful store where I bought them reimbursed me for them.

These boots are really good looking and feel great on. I should have read the description better, though, as you can't remove the insoles to accommodate orthotics, and if you've got scrawny calves like me (13 inches at my widest point) these will look ridiculous on you. I'm really bummed about returning them, as they were exactly what I was looking for, but they don't fit my orthotics and they're way too wide in the calf.

The buckles are purely decorative! I've had trouble finding boots that aren't too wide for my calf and ordered these thinking at least they'd be adjustable. Sure enough, they're too big around and when I tried to tighten using the buckles it became obvious that they're not meant to be functional. The boots were also very baggy in the ankles and not as cushy as I'd expect Keens to be. Nice color, though.

These definitely have a casual style. If you're looking for something even moderately dressy, these are not it. Comfortable but clown like. Also have a strong leather odor that has not diminished in the 8 months I've had them.

I bought these shoes a couple years ago -- I was looking for some really comfortable, durable waterproof shoes that would still look stylish (I live in NYC and do a lot of walking through wet winter streets). In the beginning they seemed great. But I was frustrated with how quickly the quality started to degrade. The material started to sag, especially around the ankle, which made them look more "chunky" and less sleek. Then as the material started to bunch around the ankle, the zippers got damaged would constantly get stuck. Then, the final nail in the coffin -- the soles started to crack, which made them functionally not waterproof anymore because the liquid would seep through from the bottom and make my feet wet. I took them to a shoe repair shop hoping they could fix the soles, but there wasn't anything to be done short of replacing the entire sole, which at that point was not worth the money and would alter the design of the shoe. So in the end, these lasted me less than year, which was pretty disappointing.

I bought these about 2 years ago and they were comfortable right out of the box. I had no trouble with it fitting my calves which can be a bit muscular. I bought them for their looks and that they were waterproof for my outdoors kind of lifestyle. The two issues that came up in my owning them were: A. Soles were too slick, you need to be careful on certain surfaces. B. The zipper went out at the ankle recently. It popped a tooth which was bad because I was traveling. These are great boots except for those two things. The zipper on both kind of always stuck a little at the ankle because of the creases. I just hope I can get them fixed!

I love these boots except the zipper is defective. The first time I wore them, on the right boot there was a three inch gap (opening) in the zipper. Then the zipper worked fine for a week or so, so I thought it was a fluke, but now the zipper is malfunctioning every single time I try to zip it. Sometimes it takes ten tries to get the zipper to stay together for the full zip. So I anticipate that eventually it will completely fail. So I have to return it.

I loved the foot bed of these boots - it was perfect...until I started to zip them up. I felt like my calf was getting squeezed in a juicer. Unfortunately, these are going back.

I bougth these boots two years ago and they are now falling apart...the zipper at the ankle is busted, and the Seams at the heals have been falling apart for a long time! I loved them while they lasted...and would replace them but this price is way too much for a boot that has been around so long and is the quality it is. I think I got them for less here on Zappos two years ago...so that's not cool! Guess I better look for something new!
