I really like these shoes. I've worn them most days for a year now and they're still going strong. They look even better now with a bit of wear on them. The laces are getting worn, so I called Keen and they are mailing me another set for free.

I have a very hard time finding attractive shoes in a large size that will fit an orthotic. The Keen Alki Lace is a miracle! Not only does an orthotic fit, but I can wear the supportive insert that comes with the shoe on top of the orthotic because the shoe is roomy and flexible. I have been wearing these shoes for a week and had a very easy time breaking them in. I love the style - good for men and women - with a modern look that is causal but can be dressed up, too. They do seem a little slippery on wet surfaces, which surprises me, but I love the look and am waiting for another color to come in so that I can order a second pair. And Zappos is unbelievable. I ordered these in the late evening and had them the next afternoon. How is that even possible?! And with free shipping?! My feet are so hard to fit that I have been waiting for a year for a shoe order to come in at my local shoe store. I usually try to support local businesses, but Zappos has proven that online shopping can provide attentive service with a human touch (and I like being able to call and talk to real person and not use my credit card online). These were a present for my son. He loves them. Most of his shoes and boots are Keen, so he knew they would fit well and be comfortable, but he was surprised at how stylish these are.

This is my second pair of Keens. I really like the fit and support they provide. I had trouble with the rubber on the top of the shoe - it started to pull away, so I had a white line of adhesive where the rubber had pulled back. The Zappos team was very helpful in getting this taken care of.

I've been wearing these almost daily since purchase over a month ago. These are very comfortable with good arch support and toe room. Quite durable, stylish and easy on the eyes.

I've been wearing these at my office for about nine months now, and I'm quite pleased with them. Initially, I was concerned about their lack of a padded collar, which most of my other shoes have. Sure enough, they did rub a bit for the first few days, but soon either they or I became broken in enough that it was no longer an issue. They're comfy enough walk around to meetings all day, not prone to scuffing against my footrest, and on one or two occasions, they have babied my feet on an unanticipated 1.6 mile walk home.

They have good traction and a solid sole. It takes a couple days to bed in the sole, but are very comfy. You could use these for some light hiking if necessary. I use them for business casual dress at work as well as casually everywhere else. Keens are probably the most comfortable shoes out there. I also have Keen sandals and hiking shoes.

These are great shoes. I wear them everyday as my business-casual shoes. So comfortable.

The Keen Alki Lace are great! The shoes have a good solid arch, the fit is perfect, and they look nice with my jeans. I'm wearing them now!

So far, the quality is superior, and comfort is A+. I will be purchasing Keens again. I like the lightness, traction and looks. Makes one want 2 or 3 pairs so as not to wear them out too fast. The size is spot on, too. As a power-seller on eBay and knowing a thing or two about a strong review, highly recommend the Alki Lace!

These were perfect for a trip to NYC where I planned to do a lot of walking and wanted to look a bit more stylish than my usual hiking shoes. They were fairly comfortable out of the box and nicely broken in after a week or two.

I have been wearing these this week in Italy, and they are great. No pinching or rubbing even while walking on the cobblestones on every street! I recommend them highly.

My husband loves this shoe. It's arch support isn't too high, but fits his foot perfectly and he likes the wide toe box; claims they are the most comfortable shoe he has ever worn.

Incredibly comfortable, and the look works well for me. The best fit for me in this brand is a 1/2 size smaller than I would have expected. Terrific shoe.

Love these shoes! I have problems finding comfortable shoes but these are the best. Wore them all over Italy, wear them on daily hills and dales trail walks, brush them off and they look like new. Very high quality for the money, too.

I love these shoes. They are the first shoes I've owned from Keen, and they are perhaps the most comfortable shoes I've bought in a very long time. I very much expect to purchase more shoes from this company.

I was looking for an "everyday" shoe that was slightly dressier than an athletic shoe, but still very comfortable, durable, and able to handle a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions. I think I found it in the Alki! Since there are several similar-looking shoes in Keen's lineup, I'll start with what I believe distinguishes this shoe from other Keens. It is all leather, including the lining. This means it's somewhat less breathable than shoes with mesh panels or synthetic linings, but it should last longer/be more durable as a result. Its outsole has moderate traction - more textured/grippy than the smooth indoor-only types, but smoother than a full-lug hiking boot. I find it gives adequate traction on packed snow and grass/dirt, while still being comfortable and stable on indoor floors. I wear an 11 in most shoes, but 10-1/2 worked best in these. Thanks to Zappos generous free-shipping policy, switching was no problem. In general, I found it took a little while for my foot to get used to this shoe, and/or for the shoe to conform to my foot. I'm sure this is just a result of the solid, all-leather construction. It's just not going to be slipper - comfortable right out of the box like a nice padded synthetic athletic shoe. So I wore these for a few hours at a time to start, and then maybe every other day for a couple weeks. I never had any blisters or real discomfort in this time period; I just wouldn't have wanted to wear them all day every day out of the box. But now (about 1 month after purchase) I find them extremely comfortable - it seems that as the leather conforms to your individual feet, it's even more comfortable than the synthetic material of athletic shoes. I don't think this is a criticism of these particular shoes, just a difference that's not a problem as long as your expectations are realistic. Finally, they do meet my expectation of being slightly more dressy than athletic shoes. But they're definitely not dress shoes! The round toe shape and prominent rubber toe-cap make them look a little funny, actually, but I love the extra space and stub protection for my toes. So overall, they're not dress shoes and they're not athletic shoes. As long as you realize those things, they're great!
