If you're in need of winter boots and not willing to participate in the senseless slaughter of an animal and the resulting chemicals needed to dye said skin, than this is the product for you. Used them in a foot of new Oregon snow and my feet were comfortable, dry and worm. Like all Sorel products, they live up to the descriptions and then some.

The boots are great - warm, comfortable, decent arch support. Plus I can trudge in the snow and go to a bar in them without looking like a fool.

These bad boys have kept my feet toasty and warm. I go to school at the University of Minnesota and we know cold up here. I have a 20 minute walk to school and wearing these have kept my feet nice and warm as well as being extremely comfortable. Only downside to these is they are not made in Canada anymore so I doubt they will last me 30 years like my dad's did.

My 10's were a little roomy, but it helps to wear thick socks. They are a tad wide, also. It's a great looking shoe. I get many complements.

I haven't bought these boots recently, because I have a pair purchased way back in 1978. If you have to spend a lot of time out in the snow, there is simply no better boot. I love mine. They are a member of the family. Long live the old classic wool felt-lined Sorel!

Overall, I love these boots. They are super stylish, and have great treads. I'm excited to use them in the snow once winter rolls around. I have two additional comments: 1) These boots have separate liners that come out pretty easily. I find myself typically putting on the liners and then putting the boot on. When I'm taking them off, the liner comes out of the boot with my foot. Not a big deal to me, but some may find this annoying (especially if you're used to Uggs or a boot with an integrated liner). 2) Since they don't have half sizes, I ordered a size down based on what I read in other reviews (Normally a 10.5, ordered a 10). That worked out well. They are nice and snug, and not too loose. Whether I'm wearing wool socks or no socks at all and it's a really good fit.

Great looking boots, the canvas and coloring works very well, but it fits very wide at the ankle. The length to toes was about right, but I never was able to get it to feel secure around the ankle, and the overall feeling was bulky. Ordered a pair of the Kitchner Frost boots which are a snugger fit at the ankle, though perhaps not as snazzy looking.

This is a good quality waterproof winter boot, that's also good looking. They are very warm though so I would recommend them for colder days only or your feet will be sweating.

These boots fit a bit tighter but expand perfectly after a couple of hours of first wearing them. Very warm and waterproof! Your feet feel nice and cozy. These are some pretty good looking boots! Worth every penny.

Was in the market for a great winter boot that was warm, durable and built to last through a Cleveland winter. After doing tons of research, I decided to go with these. Although it has not snowed yet, I know I made the right choice. These boots arrived today, I bought my normal 10.5 they fit great. Once I tried them on it was like putting my foot in a bed of instant warmth. These boots will not disappoint. This is the perfect boot to get you through those freezing, snowy, slushy, wet days of winter for years to come!!!!

Bought the boot based on the reviews. Received the package on Tuesday and boy are these sweet. I typically wear a size 10 in Nike's and 9.5 in Adidas shoes. So I decided on a size 9.5 in these. They fit perfect! There is a little room with thin socks, but I will be wearing thicker snowboarding socks and wool socks so the 9.5 will be perfect. Plenty of room in the toe box. The only negative is taking them off. The liner will tend to pull out when you pull your feet out. But that's really nitpicking.

Awesome boot, just got it in the mail only a few days after ordering. The "Olive" on the canvas upper is more brown than I expected, but they still look great, old school simplicity at its finest. Super warm and comfy, but I found it to run a little big. I usually wear an 11 in a shoe and after hearing these ran a little large, I ordered the 10.5. It is a perfect fit.

Bought these boots for my husband for the winter. He normally takes an 11½ shoe. Based on other reviews, I ordered an 11. However, they are still large so a 10½ might have worked better. Overall, there's lots of insulation and padding - I think they'll be good for the winter.

Like the other Sorel's, this one will keep your feet warm. Wearer should note that sizes run large! I'm an 8 in everything, and needed a 7.

Not sure what everyone is talking about with these boots running large - my husband typically takes an 11.5 or a 12 depending on the shoe, and we ordered him the 11.5 in these. They fit, but too small for comfort, so they had to go back. Boots are great - but unfortunately Zappos doesn't have them in a 12!

This is a stylish boot, but the liner comes off too easily when taking the boot off. You either have to pull the laces out of the top holes or the liner will come out with your foot. Less traction than the Caribou but this boot looks great. The top of the boot fits snug against the leg versus the caribou that has a larger fur top that can make it harder to fit jeans over. I prefer the coal color to the black because it has more texture and character.

Haven't had to brave any storms in these yet, but have trudged through 6-8in of snow. They are warm, waterproof, and not too hot. The soles are rubber, not a lot of support, if the ground is uneven you can feel it through the boot. If you have problems with your arches, these aren't the ones for you, or if you are planning long walks it will lead to foot fatigue a little faster. The tops are good, if you want to tuck you pants in, or if you have slightly boot cut or straight leg pants and want to pull them over, they will fit under as well. The red laces look good, I prefer hooks to holes for upper laces - as it's quicker, but I guess if you are looking to wear there under your pants I can see the benefits. The liners are itchy if your socks fall down, and come out every time you take the boots off - so if you're looking for a quick pair of on/off boots, this plus having to reinsert the upper laces through the holes every time do not make these ideal. Good for storms, not long walks or hikes, and not the most convenient boots.

These are incredibly difficult to take off. If I didn't have very loving friends (who help me with the process of removing these rubber behemoths from my feet), I would be stuck with them all the time, even at bedtime. Who on earth designed these? They are so hard to take off! I might as well have permanently stitched them on! Besides this one huge drawback, they look nice and are warm. But isn't the point of shoes that they're removable? On and off whenever the owner pleases? C'mon, Sorel!

So far these boots are pretty awesome. I've only worn them a couple of times, and I was pleased on both occasions. I'm nerdedly awaiting more cold winter weather to sport them again. They look amazing as well.

These boots are amazing! They are stylish AND incredibly warm. No need to choose form or fashion - you get both! Definitely order 1 size down. I always wear a size 11, but had to exchange for a size 10. According to Zappos the difference between the 2 sizes is 1/3 of an inch so have no fear about the boots being too small.

I recently bought a pair of Sorel 1964 premium T CVS boots and they are perfect! I was a little apprehensive about buying them online because I wasn't sure what size would fit me best. It can be difficult without actually trying them on, since the sizing/fit seems to vary a great deal between different brands of boots. I wear a size 11.5 - 12 in sneakers, so I went with a size 11 Sorel boot, and they fit perfectly! Nice and snug, but not at all tight. I had read in other reviews that they run a little on the big side. Anyway, they fit great, so maybe order a size smaller then you normally wear. The other great thing about them is that I can easily drive with them on. That's a big plus here in Maine! I highly recommend these boots!

These boots are incredibly warm, decent looking, and if you wear them sloppy (not tied too tight) pretty easy to put on and take off, though sometimes the liner has a tendency to come out with my foot. I have had two issues. One minor one was that the stitching on both thermal liners came undone, so the footbed was coming apart from the upper. Luckily that was a fairly easy thing to fix with a big needle and thread since the liner can be completely removed from the boot. The truly important thing that is a disappointment about this boot is that it has absolutely no traction on snow and ice. I have had these boots for 6 years and can't trust them to walk on anything but fresh snow or dry pavement. Ice, slush, hard-packed snow, are all treacherous.

I originally bought these boots after trying on my friend's dad's pair that he had for over 30 years! They were really comfy and felt sturdy! I was totally impressed! Unfortunately, these boots, aside from their looks, were nothing like them when it came to comfort, arch support, and quality of build. The heel in the right boot clicks in the heel when I walk and the inner boot provided minimal support for 10 minutes before going flat. I had very high expectations for these boots, but unlike the older pair I cannot vouch for these boots. It is unlikely these will stand up to 30 years of winter wear.
