I was so excited to finally get this pair of Sorels. I had been waiting and waiting ever since I noticed them on a friend. But, I was so disappointed in them. They hurt my ankles. I gave them several times to break in by walking around my house, but it never happened. They were cold! I could feel the snow on the front of my toes almost immediately. They are only 100 g, so no wonder (which I did not understand until I started to research boots). But by the looks of them (the bulk), you would think they would be better insulated. I ended up returning, which broke my heart because they are cute. But if I am going to have a bulky boot - I want them to be warm and cozy. Not cold and uncomfy.

I love the look and features of this boot, but I have tried to wear them several times for different outings to walk, snowshoe, etc., and every time I wear them I lose the skin on my heels (way beyond blisters). I tried to wear them with thicker socks and bandaids but to no avail. Sadly, I'm looking for new boots this year.

I was disappointed in this boot. I ordered my exact size and my toe was hitting the end. There was a very wide opening at the top. I even put them on with jeans and there was a big gap. Not for skinny calves. They looked a little cheap, in my opinion.

Loved the look of this boot so I was really disappointed when they didn't fit at all. Sorel doesn't make 1/2 sizes, and I am an 8.5. I figured with a heavy pair of socks the 9 would work. Wrong - the 9 slipped right on/off without even unzipping it, just way too big. I went to a store to try the 8 and couldn't even get my foot in! I tried the Cate the Great style and their size 8 fit perfect. Didn't want the more expensive boot plus I liked the look of this one better but with all this snow up here I needed something desperately!

I carefully read all the reviews and ordered these boots a full size bigger. They were huge! They were also very clunky and heavy. I am keeping the North Face boots I ordered at the same time so I will not have the opportunity to see if I like then in a smaller size. They looked cute, but the foot part is very manly or unisex and if that is the only part that will peak out of your pants you might not like the way they look.

NOT SAFE! I rarely write reviews, but on this style I had to. I am surprised no one else said they are not good on slippery surfaces. I have slid on the subway platform, on slushy sidewalks, on the black top, and on tiled floors. They are not Uggs - which is why I bought them - I wanted to be waterproof, warm and unique. And although they are waterproof and warmer than any other boots I've had, they have No GRIP. If there is slush on the ground, you are going to slide and slip constantly.

I was hopeful this boot would fit the bill, providing both comfort and warmth. Didn't have a chance to check the warmth out as they are uncomfortable-too big in the back, ridding up the heel, which I fear would create blisters. Not what you want in a snow boot, but I'm sure someone will enjoy them. As always, was a great shopping experience. Thanks!

I really really wanted to love these. The style is so unique and exactly what I wanted - tall warm zip up boots. But, they just were not comfortable at all. The shaft was very stiff and the toe box rubbed against the top of my foot. The sizing was a problem for me as well. I normally wear a 6.5-7. The size 6 was too big and the 5 was too small. So sad, but had to return them. I ended up keeping the Sorel Joan of Arctic in Hawk.

I was so excited to get these boots to keep my feet dry and warm and the first time I wore them out in the snow the leaked and my feet got wet. Also they are hard to walk in because they are so bulky. I am hoping to return them and get a different pair that is actually waterproof and easier to walk in.

I gave it a a low score because it didn't fit my type of feet and I returned them. I have a narrow heel and because this boot has a wide base, my heel would come out while walking. Tightening the buckle helped but didn't solve the problem. A fully cinched buckle also made it difficult to pull the boot off without undoing the buckle as I could not slide the rest of my foot out past it. I returned them for the Sorel Tofino which has a narrower base and fits my feet better.

I am so disappointed in these boots! Was just outside snowblowing the foot of snow we got last night in Minneapolis, and within 15 minutes the tops of my feet were so cold I had to come in. I have plenty of room in them so I can definitely put 2 pairs of socks on but don't feel like I should have to do that with winter boots at this price. On the good side, they are very comfortable and sort of cute, and I had no problem getting them on my feet, like some reviewers did. These would probably be fine for people who aren't going to be trudging through snow that covers their feet, but if you plan to be in that depth of snow, do not expect these to keep your feet warm.

It was a struggle to put these boots on, my foot did not want to go into the shoe part. Also the boots are not very attractive. I finally got the boot on and they were not confortable, they felt quite stiff. I am still a Zappo's fan and will try another style.

I had heard such wonderful comments about Sorel boots. I was sorely disappointed in these boots. The first day I wore them I have two huge blisters on my heels. I am returning them. Back to the drawing board in finding new boots.

I love the style but they hurt so much I only wore them three times and stop wearing them. The back of the boot has this thing that rubs my foot and leaves my skin peeled. I even went to the shoe repair to purchase a heel lifter to lift the my foot sole, and nothing. I do not recommend these boots to anyone. For the price I paid I thought they would be very comfortable.

I tried these on at a store first. I wear a 61/2 and couldn't decide cause the 7 felt loose and the 6 was snug especially the right one I went with the 6 and was not disappointed. I wore them inside for 3 days and they now fit perfect! There's more than enough room to tuck in jeans and I'm always getting compliments. PS. It snows in AZ too!

One problem, but other than that, I love them. The problem is that I had to try on quite a few pairs before I found ones that were comfy (in both feet) and not rubbing. In one pair the left foot worked, but not the right, in another pair, vice versa. This is a problem...Sorel, please make them consistent. My advice would be to order a few pairs in your size/color so you find the ones that fit your feet best, then return the rest. That said, once I get the right fit, everything else was perfect. I bought these in black and my regular size. My favorite part of these boots is that they zip...no shoving your foot down a long boot shaft. I also love that they are cute, waterproof and keep my toes warm in sub zero temps here in the MN. They require a little patience getting the right fit, but they are worth it!

These boots are 100% weatherproof and awesome in the snow. The fit well with regular socks but also fit when wearing Amartwool and legwarmers. After a year or so one of the insoles started to come detached at the toe. I just have to make sure to push it down into place before I put them on. Once my foot is in it doesn't move so it's not really an issue. Since I purchased these, Sorel has come out with many more fashionable styles but these I think are still the easiest as they sip and there are no ties or laces to do and undo which can be a hassle when you are wearing gloves.
