These boots are amazingly comfortable. I love riding boots and have several pairs by different designers. But I've never had the "over-the-knee" style which I was afraid would look a little silly on me. But these absolutely do not make me look silly. In addition to the quality of the leather, comfort and style, I really like the zippers on the insides of the calf. Taking off high boots is never something I look forward to and this totally resolves that issue. As for size, I typically take a 7 or 7-1/2 (medium) in shoes and boots (particularly in Born shoes and boots). I tried the 7M, 7-1/2M and the 8M and the 8M (surprisingly) worked for me. Oh. One last note. Now that the weather has turned quite cold, one happy surprise was that the over the knee boot does a lot in keeping my overall legs warm. I definitely recommend these boots for comfort and style.

This is a beautiful boot. I had to return it because I am just to short to wear any boot that is over the knee. I thought I would try this boot because I love Frye, but my legs are too short. I looked like I was all boot. If I had longer legs, they would not be going back.

They are beautiful boots but beware - if you are looking for regular width and want to be able to tuck jeans, these may not be for you! I'm 5'4, 129 and a size 8 was a no go!

Absolutely loved these boots. Material was amazing, and style was totally awesome. Unfortunately for me I have a wide foot so it was very tight in the front and will be going back.

This boot is great but not only wonderful looking. I can wear it all day. The leather is very soft without being too soft. It is the type of boot to last a long time but should be taken care of with good shoe polish. Looks great with leggings, jeans and could look cute with a dress or skirt if it is worn by someone young enough. The boot is worth the money for sure!

These are my most favorite Frye boots. I'm 5'10, about a size 8.5. I ordered a size 9 for sock room and they fit well. The zipper makes them need no break in time, easy on and off and well fitting over my legs. They make the most simple of outfits come together so well!

These were super tight around the calf area. Not comfortable and wasn't about to try and force them. Unfortunately they're already on their way back.

This was my first pair of Frye boots, and now I am hooked on Frye forever. The quality of the leather is exquisite. I get tons of compliments on these boots. They keep my legs SO WARM during cold Minnesota winters! If it is windy, I cannot feel it at all on my legs when I have these on. They look great over skinny jeans and leggings, and are also cute with a boho sundress or denim mini when the weather turns warmer. They slouch a bit and scuff easily, but I find that I am really digging the worn look. I tend to baby my other boots (not wear them when it snows, only wear them for special occasions, etc.) but I love not having to worry about these boots--they have taken a beating and still look fantastic. I look forward to enjoying them for years to come. I am 5'9" and these come up just over my knee. I am a size 8.5 and I got these in an 8.5, and they are a good fit.

I bought these boots last fall and absolutely fell in love with them. I am a boot fanatic and these are my all time favorite boots! You can dress them up or down and they scream quality! Sadly today I noticed a leak in my closet and my wonderful boots have passed away. Luckily I was able to replace them by buying a new pair without hesitation. Warning to all: always keep your shoes/boots wrapped in plastic or in hard containers to protect your footwear investment.

I loved these boots, but can't keep them. They felt great on my feet, but wouldn't go over my calves! I have had this trouble with boots before, but not lately. I'm petite, but have really muscular calves. At widest point, they're about 14 inches, and there was no way the boots were going over them. I'm sad to have to send them back.

These boots are very well made and beautiful. The toes are very narrow and I have narrow feet. I had to use a shoe stretcher to make them more comfortable. I bought them on sale but they are still very expensive boots. For the price i paid I like them, but i would not pay almost $500. If you can get them on sale, I’d do it.

These boots are beautiful and a classic that will last through the seasons. The leather is buttery soft and the craftsmanship is of high quality. They definitely seem to fit snug in the foot but leather often stretches. The calf size is true to size. I have muscular calves and didn't find the boot too fitted.

Very pretty boot and nice leather but size is small. I wear about a 10 1/2, got the 11 for room and tight around the front of the foot and loose on the heel.

Beautiful boot but the right boot didn't fit as well as the left. The zipper seemed to bunch up slightly and was rubbing my ankle when I walked. The left boot was much more comfortable.

These were so close to what I was looking for but not quite. I'm 5'5" and they hit just (barely) above my knee. I have longer legs for my heighth, but I was hoping for 1/2-1" more so it would cover up past my knee. They are pretty comfortable & I love the wide opening & the leather is amazing. They felt great to wear except for the ankle area, which kept poking me. I'm sure it would break in over time. I tried wearing these several times in my house but am returning. For this price, you want them to be 100% perfect! One more note: I have never felt like I have a big foot (I'm a size 7-1/2 to 8), but these DO make your feet look BIG! I was kind of shocked every time I looked down, I was like "wow, I suddenly have a huge foot!".

I'm normally an 8.5 in one foot & a 9 other so always do a 9 shoe or 9.5 boot rarely a 10. But with these they seem a little narrow in toe box, so trying the 10. Fingers crossed. The nine seemed to have a thumbs width from end of toe, but being rounded hurt my little toe a bit. Hope 10 don't make heel slip with too much room praying. They do seem to really hug your heel, so that's why think can get away with a little larger to maybe help in toe box area? I have a high arch and narrow feet, but longer toes ha' so sometime need the 10 to help w toe box room. They are very lean slender boot and barely cover knee. So not quite the OTK though as high, but sure depends on your height & I'm 5'7". They are very classy though and not clunky at all.

These boots are very narrow, in spite of them being called "medium width." I'm really hoping they break in, although the leather is quite stiff in the foot/toe area. Would not be able to wear them long if the leather doesn't give a bit.

I am 5 11 tall. I got size 11 Med. They fit perfectly at the feet. Unfortunately, the shaft was too wide and too short for me. It covered only of my knee and looked disproportional. Also, the stitches on the sole were defective.

I ordered this over the knee boot and Lindsay Logo Back zip. I sent this Shirley over the knee back. This boot is a nice boot but it is pretty plain. I bought a lot of over the knee boots that look similar to these. I am sure these would last, but the Lindsay boot was just prettier and I thought to be worth the money. This boot also came to me in a generic box and not a Frye box. It was also not packaged as well Lindsay boot. The Frye authentication cards were also not in the box. For the price of Frye's, I was afraid these might be counterfeit or the box and cards swiped out of it. I am not certain, but it is another reason I returned this boot.

I really wanted these boots to be my first pair of Frye boots! I ordered a 7 and I am usually between a 6½ and 7 in other brands, but I could barely get my feet into the base of these boots! That was so disappointing! Maybe if I ordered a size up?! The leather/color/everything is beautiful and well-made.

Weird looking almost pointy toe. I don't have big feet but these made my feet look really long and funny. Also my feet are on the narrow side and these were really narrow. Not worth the money.
