Glorious fit and exceptional craftmanship. I have spent 14+ hours walking in these boots with zero problems.

These boots are so comfortable but I must say I have about 500 pair of boots. Most of them new from Zappos and I am not sure if I am Frye Boot kind of girl. The color is stunning. I wish they had them in the higher boot with the button down the sides but no luck. I hate to send them back they are so pretty but I just ordered 7 pairs of boots from Zappos today and they are all so comfortable and stunning. I do love the Zipper on the back of this boot and the lower heel very feminine for a Frye boot. Real pretty and comfortable. Try them; you will not be disappointed at all. Much more practical than the high skinny heel boots in the winter snow.

Love these boots! They are gorgeous, soft, sexy, and super comfortable. Based on feedback from other Frye heeled boots, I bought a half size smaller than normal and I'm glad I did. They fit great and would have been too big if I bought my regular size. Also, I have skinny calves and these fit me perfectly -- with jeans or without. I wore them today for the first time and was so happy it's Fall. And of course, I love the speedy and spectacular service from Zappos. Thanks!

This boot is extremely comfortable and looks great on. The leather is very soft and feels wonderful.

The pictures on the website do not do this boot justice at all. These are a must see/must feel boot that you need to cradle in your hands and feel over your foot and calf in order to appreciate the awesomeness that is the Miranda Back Zip. Firstly, the leather is excellent. Different from a lot of Frye's other long boots, which I find can be just a tad stiff or unmalleable or not "fitting" enough or slightly too rough a finish (yet awesome nonetheless). These are soft without being floppy and richly textured and colored. Secondly the shape of the foot is exquisite. Fitting without being tight. Frye put some effort into the heel and backs of these because they mold to the indent of my ankle and flare out perfectly to envelope my calves (without being tight or loose). I also like that this isn't just a standard high heeled boot. The cuff gives it a distinct uniqueness from all the other heeled boots, and it looks great with the cuff up or down. I prefer to wear with the cuff up as it elongates my calf and gives my outfits more of a funky/gypsy look. They are comfortable to walk in and would pretty much look great with anything; jeans casual or dressed up. I bought these in amongst several other pairs of Fryes and these were a standout in my haul. Definitely the dark horse that came back to win the race.

These boots are EXACTLY what I was looking for. They are very comfortable. I was afraid they would be too high because I am only 5'2, and I didn't want them to be over the knee, but they aren't. They come up a little bit over the knee cap but are by no means an over-the-knee boot. All in all, great buy. Oh, and I did order my normal size, and it fits perfectly.

I usually don't write reviews, but I felt compelled since I agonized over this purchase. I am a big fan of these boots. They are very comfy and have this kind of rugged yet sexy look. I ordered the burnt red leather which is a fabulous almost wine color. I have gotten a lot of compliments on these. The boot construction is good quality. Despite the price, I'm considering ordering a pair in another color. A side note: I ordered a half size smaller (7.5, when I normally wear an 8) and the fit is great. So, you might want to consider a half size down.

I loved these boots but unfortunately when I zipped them up the calves were just too tight. Makes me so sad to have to return them, but for this kind of money they need to be comfortable!

These boots are very well-made, and are very comfortable. The heel is not too high, and the cushioned footbed is great. There are two reasons I had to send them back (unfortunately, as I love the quality and style): the shaft is a bit high, and it came up to my kneecaps (I'm 5'4") - a bit too high for comfort. Additionally, the zipper on the back does not zip easily - both pairs I ordered had that problem. On a positive note, I have somewhat wide feet, but these boots did not feel too narrow. Overall, a great boot if you're not petite and don't mind a utility-type zipper.

I just received my red boots! Zappos you are absolutely the best! My boots are beautiful; the burnt red is gorgeous! The leather is perfect! And the back zipper is sexy! They are great to wear with my skinny jeans or skirts! I have six pairs of Frye boots and I must say that the Taylor used to be my favorite but now after ordering the Miranda,I think this might be my favorite! I went on a mad mission to find red boots, especially during the summer when the demand goes down and often so do prices. On a different site I read a review that said to purchase a half size down, and the very last pair of these in red was in fact a half size down from my usual! Taking it on faith, I went ahead and ordered my magical red boots. So very glad I purchased them. The calves are tight enough to stay up with skinny jeans. Haven't worn them out yet, but I don't see them as being boots I can spend a whole day in. They are tight on my foot, but as the reviewer I trusted said, they do stretch after use. Being 100% leather, that's expected. The shaft height is just perfect for my 31" inseam. This is my second pair of Frye boots, and I definitely intend on purchasing more in the future.

I ordered a pair of boots almost exactly like this one and I absolutely love them. The burnt red is fabulous! Mine does not have a back zipper (which I love) but the basic boot is the same. I have never had any leather that feels this good -- love this boot, too!

I have been looking for the perfect dressy black boot. These are perfect. The heel height is great not too much, and I usually wear sneakers. Love them! I am normally an 8 and the 71/2 fits great, no slipping in the heel.

I love these boots. I ordered them in black and they look so good with skinny jeans, and skirts. My normal size in these were too big, so I had to return them for 1/2 size smaller. They run big. My hubby said they're smokin' hot. Thank you Zappos for excellent customer service.

Love! This boot fits like my favorite pair of gloves. The platform makes the heel hardly noticeable. Dress it up or turn the cuff down - so versatile. I know Fryes are pricey, but once you have a pair, it's hard to go back. These are so well made and incredibly comfortable. I walked all over town yesterday in them with zero pain - I could not believe it. Zero break in time! And they are super cute and quite high! I could not recommend them more highly. Usually with Fryes, I go a half size down or add an insole, but with these I actually bought a half size up because they were out of my size and amazingly the half size up fits without an insole.

I wore the boots for first time this morning and they were perfect. Normally I wear riding boots, but I wanted a boot with a heel for a dressier look. I looked at many boots before deciding on these. The heel is just high enough and the platform works to offset the height even further. Easy on/easy off. You can wear the cuff straight up or turned down. When wearing it straight up it comes just under the knee.

The Boot. The Miranda boot is a more elegant boot than most of what is out this season. Reminds me a great deal of the Dorado Slouch that was so popular a few years ago with the fit and the cuff. Unlike the Doroado Slouch, the Miranda boot is much more fitted through the ankle due to the zipper in the back. Like another reviewer, I don't really like the zipper in the back and will always be concerned with it coming out, but the boot is gorgeous! I live near the Zappos outlet and saw this boot a few weeks ago in the light color. Went back the next day to purchase and it was gone. I now have the black, but the lighter color is very, very pretty. Another characteristic unlike the Dorado Slouch is the leather. On the Miranda boot it is a high gloss. Very shiny and smooth. It appears to be a higher quality of leather. I give it 5 stars, as it is beautiful, runs true to size and all around a great boot. Zappos is the only shoe store I will shop at online! The service is excellent at all levels from time of order, if a return is needed and follow up customer support. If having a return, you are updated through each stage with emails letting you know where the return stands. The credit is applied very quickly (often the day of the return!). Many thanks, Zappos!

These are fantastic boots! I was worried about the price, but they are clearly well worth it. Most reviews I read spoke very highly of Frye boots and I see why. They are beautifully made and ridiculously comfortable. The first day I wore them I bought the red boots and the first time I wore them I received loads of compliments. The calf was very snug at first (and I have average-sized calves), but after one wearing, they stretched a bit to fit my leg. You will not go wrong with these boots - they are wonderful!

Beautiful boot! Fits true to size and the platform gives you a comfortable heel height without it being unmanageable! The Sand is a gorgeous color. I can't wait to break these babies in! The arch is decent and the toe box has a decent amount of room. The toe is very cute. Rounded, but still slightly pointed!

Beautiful, sexy boot. However, it is not to be worn for long periods of time and I would not recommend for walking any distance. But, for an occasional knock it out of the ball park look they can't be beat. Plus they are Frye boots so they are made well and the leather is delicious.

Very well made boot. The zipper (only on the right boot) was finicky at first, but it works fine now with some wear. Happy with purchase. It's as comfortable as a 3-4 inch heel boot will be! Platform helps a lot.
