I love these flats! Soft leather and a simple design mean I can wear these shoes anywhere. Beware, the leather sole does make them a little slippery on certain flooring -- even after scuffing the soles.

These shoes feel comfortable like slippers. I have a wide foot, and they do not feel terribly wide, but the leather is soft and I think they will stretch easily. The only thing I will say is that the sole is very slippery. I was walking around my house last night, and slipped and fell while walking in them on my hardwood floor. Maybe they will become less slippery as the sole gets worn a bit.

I bought these in a 6.5 which is my usual size, and they fit perfectly. I can already feel the leather conforming to my feet. They are very well-made, and--if they last--they will be worth the money. The only negative for me is that they're made in China. This is disappointing considering the history and claims made by Frye.

I own several Frye Carson Ballet flats and have enjoyed wearing all of them. The Frye quality is always consistent; however, I wish they had more accurate sizing. I wear a 10M, but in Frye I always order 9.5. As always, I read the most recent reviews and went with my usual Frye 9.5. The Navajo print is beautiful and looks great on my feet, but it is too large. I am going to exchange for a 9 and hope for the best. For further reference, my big toe is about 1/4 inch longer than my second toe. I hope this helps other customers with their sizing concerns. I'm giving this shoe an overall 4 stars based on the sizing.

I added this ballet flat to my collection of Fryes. They have a nice soft inner sole that breathes very well and helps to keep my feet from stinking. The bottoms have no tread and are a little slippery at first. Overall, very comfortable and fits well.

These shoes are the perfect wardrobe staples, they're soft and well made. Unfortunately they ran a bit big and wide for me. I wear an 8.5 and have a relatively narrow foot. I'm going to go down to an 8.

These shoes are beautifully made of high quality materials, and look great. Unfortunately, my normal size 9 is too large and too wide. My feet are slightly narrow, but a medium width usually fits fine; these shoes are too wide for anyone with a narrow foot. Also, they are a bit long and gap above my toes. They are nicely cushioned, but don't really have any arch support. I wish I had returned them before I wore them, because they are really too loose to be comfortable. My fault; loved the cute look and wore them around anyway!

Perfect shade of brown. Casual shoe that would be great with jeans. Toe box a little snug, but that's pretty common in ballet flats.

Fell in love with this shoe. Leather is soft and molds to your foot, no rubbing or blisters. Leather sole is slick, which is to be expected. At first I thought they ran true to size but mine have stretched out a ton! It is now difficult to hold them on my feet but I love them so much I am still wearing them. I would order them again, but I would consider going a half size down.

Beautiful shoes, and very well made. The top back rubbed against the back of my foot and I could tell after giving them a breaking in period around the house several days that they were not going to improve. It pained me to return these! I really loved the shoes!

I own these flats in the metallic color in a size 8. I'm normally an 8 or 8.5; I had purchased the metallic in both sizes and returned the 8.5s as they were too big in both length and width. As a result, when I saw the dark brown leather version on sale I felt comfortable ordering only a size 8. Imagine my surprise when they arrived and the 8s were much too snug! I held them sole-to-sole with my metallic Carsons and the dark brown is significantly shorter, more than 1/4" so. Maddeningly, Frye does not seem to physically mark the size anywhere on these flats, so I don't know if I received a pair of 7.5s incorrectly placed in an 8 box, or if the sizing of different colors is just wonky. The dark brown 8.5s were out of stock so that's the end of that. Just be aware the sizing has the potential to vary wildly between colors and order accordingly. I wear the metallic pair all the time--they're extremely cute and reasonably comfortable provided you don't require much in the way of arch support. As others have noted the soles are untextured so they're a bit slippy, but not dangerously so in my opinion.

I loved these shoes for style and color. But, they are not comfortable. Like walking on pavement. No cushion. And my big toe joint was pinched with a deep groove within minutes. I really wanted them to work. Another return.

These shoes are very cute, however, one of the shoes squeaked very loudly when I walked so they are going back.

I love the look of this shoe. I ordered several types of ballet flat, I think I was rooting for this one though. It is adorable. It was a half a size too big. The bottom seemed very flat (both sole and insole) I need more support so I would not bother to try the next size down. The inside also seemed a little rough, I was hoping for a sock-less solution... so cute though!

The fit and style are as you would expect. The color though was off. The beige was more salmon, than sand. If it had been as pictured, great. But for the price just a bit too off.

Something about the Carson Ballet Flat shoe has changed....I own FOUR pairs of these shoes which were soft and comfortable from the very first day. This year's edition are different. First of all, they seem very stiff -- the leather -- especially in the toe box. Sadly, I had to return them. I also miss the pretty colors they used to come in. (orange, bright pink, green, along with the navy, black and neutrals). I have to wonder if Frye is having them made by a different maker.

These look cute and they come in so many colors! I was excited to get them. Unfortunately, once I had a chance to walk around them in the city they were horrendous. There is no arch support whatsoever (which you can see in the picture). Fine, I can deal with that. I just slipped in some Dr. Scholl's arch supports. What I could not live with was that these shoes have zero tread on the bottom. This is no good for city girls. I almost slipped about five times in the one hour I wore these shoes. Now they are all scuffed on the bottom and there is no way that I am going to ever wear them again. They are not worth the price I paid for them.

Cute pair of flats. Love the dove gray color. However, they were very wide at the front and tended to flop when you walked. Fixed the problem by not wearing footies as I usually do. Kind of pricey for the quality.

I had to send this shoe back because the insole was too low. I have small, narrow feet, but I still felt like half my foot was hanging out. This design exposes so much of the top of your foot that these shoes are better suited for summer than winter, even though the design looks like it would be great for all seasons. They were clearly the right size, but I worried I wouldn't be able to keep them on.

Awesome shoe but a little too roomy in the toe area? Gave the shoe an almost baggy look up in front. Didn't feel like I could go any smaller and have the length of the shoe fit, though. It was very comfortable and cute. Pains me to return them.

I love the colors offered with these shoes and bought 2 pair. However, they stretch and if you decide to buy them make sure you order 1 half size smaller than your regular size.

This is the closest I've come to finding a cute and comfortable flat that goes with everything. The heel has a tendency to slip off, so I'd suggest ordering a half size smaller. (I put in adhesive heel grips, which seem to help). Also the wood sole is very slippery so I put grips on the bottom, which helps a ton. I love the color and style. I just don't love logos, so I wish it wasn't stamped on the side. Overall, this (modified) shoe is fulfilling its purpose.

I love the look of the shoe but it has a slippery sole and is dangerous on any tile floor. The style is great though. Just be careful where you walk in these shoes.

Wayyy too small. Based on other reviews, I decided to order my exact size (9.5). I could barely get my foot in them. I know they would stretch, but not enough for them to be comfortable. Unfortunately I had to return them entirely, as they don’t carry a half size up. :(
