Inaugural day in flats, with a pair of boots and socks in tow...just in case. Six miles of walking later, not even the threat of a blister. I swear by Frye boots, but tend to go cheaper for flats. Not anymore. I am so tired of spending the first month of spring covered in bandaids, hobbling around in new shoes. Keep in mind, these are very flat flats, so they aren't nearly as cushy as the Carson boots, but for what they are? I am sold. About to look at other Frye flat styles and pull the trigger again.

After reading all of the reviews for this flat, I was still skeptical that they would be as comfortable as people claimed. Boy, was I wrong! And gladly so. This has to be the most comfortable flat I have ever worn .. no breaking in, no rubbing, doesn't cut into my foot anywhere. I'm tempted to throw out every shoe I own and just stock my closet with these flats (and the Frye boots I already own). Amazingly, even though these flats feel like a pair of leather socks (for lack of a better description), these shoes are very sturdy and well constructed so they look like actual shoes - which is great for my dress up job. I'm a true size 9 and the 9 fits perfectly. A little snug perhaps, but I know that they will loosen up. Leather bottoms can be a bit slippery at first, but a few walks around the city sidewalks will take care of that. Arch support is better than with most flats, but I imagine if you have problem arches, you probably wouldn't want to wear flats in the first place. I am beyond thrilled with this purchase, and of course Zappos' customer service is without comparison.

I. Love. These. Shoes. I get so many compliments on these shoes and they are BY FAR my favorites. In fact, I've ordered two more pairs in different colors. My only complaint is that after three months of wear they have stretched out to the point where I cannot wear them without them slipping off as I walk. I'm reordering them in a half size smaller, hoping that this solves the problem. All in all, these are by far my favorite flats.

Wonderful shoes! So comfy and cute, with no break-in time. I love them so much I ordered them in black and I just ordered the Carson pumps. I usually wear an 8.5 and ordered an 8 after reading other reviews and the 8 was perfect.

As per the norm with Frye flats, didn't really take any time at all to break in (though I shouldn't have walked 2 miles in them the first day... but still, no major pain or blisters).

Love them, they are narrow I though it would be a problem because I have wide feet. But the look beautiful on, and they are so soft.

I typically order a size 6 in shoes because they usually fit well enough. The smallest size I wear is 5.5 and after reading the comments decided to order the 5.5. They fit perfectly and were comfortable on the initial wear. There was no break-in period at all and I walked around in these on day 1 for hours on cracked and cobbled streets. My feet were perfectly comfortable all day. I will mention that the sole should be scratched up a bit or I could see how it could be a slip hazard. Worth every penny.

I really like these shoes. I have narrow heels, and was concerned that they wouldn't stay on when I walk, but they are great!

Great shoes! They are a little more purple and less blue than pictured, which I really liked. They are super comfortable - I was surprised how much so since it seems like a simple flat with a thin (though well constructed) footbed. I brought these to Italy for my honeymoon, and walked on cobblestones and marble floors for hours every day, which usually kills my feet. But I had not one problem in these, they were so comfortable! Love them.

I have a size 11 narrow foot that can occasionally get by with a medium width, but sadly not in these shoes. I can't really comment on comfort, since I walked out of them, but for a flat they seemed fairly well built, with a nicer than average footbed. I would've loved for them to fit, great looking shoes! Thanks again to Zappos for making trying on shoes so easy.

These shoes have a very rich leather and were comfy out of the box. They were a bit on the pricey side but glad I have them. They will look cute with skirts and jeans.

Really beautiful shoes, all leather, would give and form to your foot eventually and likely last forever. Unfortunately too tight at the toe for me, but i love them, am going to try Melissa Frye in wide.

Best flats ever and they're butter soft and conformed to my feet within the first couple of hours of wear. Yes, they gap a little at the sides, but if you get the proper size, they'll stay on. And no, there's no support, but they're flats... I've wasted so much money on flats that chafe, squeeze, and pinch - these are a bit more expensive but worth every penny; I'll be buying more of these.

Best flat I've ever worn. Ordered my regular Frye size (1/2 size smaller than most other brands) and the fit was perfect. I dislike toe cleavage and did not have that problem with these. The plum antique finish is beautiful and versatile; color true to the picture. I will likely purchase another color I love these so much.

I can only say wow! These are super comfortable right out of the box. I am in love and will be getting more in different colors. Totally worth the big price tag for cuteness and comfort. I got the Berry and the color is darling.

These are very cute, and flattering for flats! They fit true to size, and are comfortable right out of the box. The only problem, as with all Frye shoes/boots is that the leather soles are slippery on carpet! I still love them, though.

I love these shoes, but they are definitely slick on the sole. I bought a pair of clear foot petal grips to put under the toes, and it fixed the problem easily. The leather is so soft and the fit is very comfortable (I got a half size smaller than my normal size 6.5, and even then I required a heel cushion to make it fit perfectly). After fixing the slippery sole problem these are some of my favorite, most comfortable flats. The fawn leather is beautiful and looks exactly like the photos.

I love the textured leather of these shoes. It adds just enough of a twist to elevate it beyond a classic, basic ballet flat. They required no breaking-in period--extremely comfortable from the first time I put them on. I am definitely pleased with this purchase!

Love these! I have had them in black for five months. Very durable for ballets. I have the Frye leather conditioning cream that I use when they start to look worn.

This is a really great shoe! I always have a difficult time finding a flat that fits & is comfortable. This flat shoe has it all! It fit and was comfortable the very first time I tried it, although I would suggest you try 1/2 size smaller as that is what worked for me. It is casual and the color goes with so many things. I can wear these shoes all day and my feet never hurt.

I really like this shoe but, since I ordered the smoke color, I was disappointed to find that the shoes are brown. I expected them to be gray. It's not the color I wanted, so back they go.

I absolutely loved these shoes. From the start the leather was soft and the shoe was extremely comfortable. Like another reviewer, I have a narrow and heel and wide foot. I normally order an 8, but the shoes just flopped off my feet. I have other Frye ballet flats that I was able to order my normal size, but not these. Zappos was great with the exchange. I ordered half size down. One of the other reviewers mentioned something about the shoes being very slippery. From the picture, you can see the sole is leather. Over time with wear the shoe will lose that slippery feeling a lot of new shoes have that don't have rubber soles. I couldn't be happier with these shoes.

Amazing shoe; you won't regret this purchase! They fit like a glove right out of the box and the colors are just fun and vibrant. I'm between an 8 and an 8.5, but 8 in Frye works for me. They run on par with Born sizing, but feel way more comfy.

I love these shoes. The leather is soft and very expensive looking. The arch support is not great, but the shoes are very comfortable with no break in period needed. I wear an 8.5 M and they were true to size.
