I love these shoes! I wear them with skinny jeans and cords, skirts, and dresses and tights - and they look great with them all. They're super comfortable and give my high arches the support they need. I can walk for hours in them and not be thinking about my feet! I have the cognac color, which is really much prettier than in the picture here. Like I said, I love them!

I needed to take time off from wearing heels all of the time so I bought these in the cognac color. They look great and casual and dressy. I love, love, love this shoe. I had to go down a half size after trying on the 7 and they were too long. Buy these shoes and you won't be disappointed!

Nice shoe, but runs large. Order down a 1/2 size.

I love the look and comfort of this shoe. The fawn color is beautiful. The sole is a little slippery, like any dress shoe. The sizing is strange though. I usually wear a 10.5 but ordered a 10 because of other reviewers and I think it\'s still too big. I\'m ordering a 9.5 and a 9 to see which one fits better. The shoe is narrow but the toe box is roomy, which looks nice but makes sizing a little difficult.

I\'ve always heard about how great Frye boots are and I decided to try out Frye oxfords. Super comfortable - I wore them to a trip to NYC right after I got them and walked in them all day. I\'ve gotten a lot of compliments on them - this color of brown is beautiful and a departure from the standard dark brown shoes so many people wear. I wear them with pants, jeans, skirts and dresses. Look great with purple tights!

This oxford is absolutely gorgeous. I just received it today in the fawn color and the color is so beautiful, and the shoe is very comfortable and stylish. I always order a half size down with Frye. I'm typically a 9.5 in most brands but the 9 in Frye fit perfectly. It might look "clownish" in the photo but it is far from clownish when they are on. The upturned toe and the western-style heel give the shoe a very modern and feminine flair. This was 100% worth the money and I'm so excited to wear them outside. I would highly recommend this shoe.

Fantastic shoes. I use orthotics for my extremely high arches, and finding a good looking shoe to put those things in is a difficult quest. These are perfect for me. Hooray Frye! This is a very well-constructed, sturdy and sexy but casual shoe. I have the cognac color and it's really gorgeous. I love the fact that the color is a tad darker around toe. It's a subtle detail, but such a great idea. The leather is quite fine, too. Compliments flow daily from friends and strangers alike. I am going to order another pair in a different color.

Great shoes! They remind me of those sturdy lace-ups my grandmother used to wear - in a good way. They put a cool spin on a traditional oxford look. I wear them with dress pants, jeans and skirts with tights. I usually wear an 8.5, but purchased the 8 and it is perfect.

This is a fantastic shoe. They look great with skirts or pants. I bought smoke and will likely buy black as soon as they have my size. Love Zappos quick service. Bought them based on such good reviews and they were all correct!

My new everyday shoe! Comfortable (with a little breaking in.... the soles are super slippery), stylish, and most of all- COOL! The slippery soles are a small price to pay for true leather soles they will wear like nothing else... I love the look of these and have worn them nonstop since receiving! I would size down a half size..... but maybe not if you are on your feet all day as I am. Also, my best regards to Zappos.... my shoe store of choice! I have been buying (and buying) from this site for years.... I cannot recommend them highly enough!

frye makes a nice shoe, these are not for me though

Very stylish but it squeezed my toes and the upper part rubbed below the ankle bone. I wish they were comfortable because they are very cool.

I love this shoe, I've had it for a few years and it gets more comfortable with time. They took a little time to break in - I used to think the toe was tight, but now they are great. The laces are too short that come with it, so I need to find something longer to replace so I can do a proper tie.

I was looking for something brown like my Born Motts, which are sold out everywhere in dark brown. This shoe is more striking than a Born and I adore the rich smell of the leather as well as the color and quality of the leather. It is, however, rather narrow and a little pointy, something I didn't fully appreciate from the internet pictures. It's got a boot look to it. It's also at least half a size small. I generally waver between 7 and 7.5, so with the comments on smallness, I opted for the 7.5, which is still too small. However, the quality just screams from the shoe, and I think I'll try the Frye Anna.

Frye's sizing is so frustrating. I just returned a differed shoe to Zappos because it ran a full size too large. Read the reviews for this shoe and ordered a half size down and should have ordered my true size. Going back to Zappos.

These are beautiful shoes and I wanted to keep them but the 9 was too long - my foot slipped forward - and the 8 1/2 was too tight across the toes.

I got these last year in the dark brown shade called "Smoke," which despite it's name is not gray at all. I have picky feet and was pleased that I could wear them comfortably. I like the bit of a heel, which makes them a little different from other oxfords. I ordered the "Iris" this year, hoping it was a dark purple shade. It's really a blue, with maybe the faintest hint of purple undertones. I thought it looked essentially navy in most light, so I returned it. I do wish Frye would consider the slipperiness of the soles of their shoes and boots. These are extremely slick until well scuffed up. I ordered my usual size 8s which fit fine.

I really wanted these to fit. They're hit the mark right between masculine practicality and slim feminine styling. They just do not fit my feet. I ordered a half size larger to try to fit the width of my foot (admittedly I have wide feet) but these are pretty narrow in general. I'd be surprised if non-wide feet would fit comfortably. Also, weirdly the ankle was then too wide and slipped up and down. I'm so disappointed because they are really lovely. Zappos service was awesome as usual.

Sharp looking shoes that look great with everything. All Fryes seem to run a 1/2 size large on me. Check for defects carefully. Had to order twice because leather was 1/2in shorter on the heel part of the shoe. Of course Zappos is great with returns!

Very nice shoes. Liked the lace up and the boot heel. Very narrow for Frye (I am a B or medium width) and the toe box is quite tight. Would have tried to break them in but they made my legs look disproportionately fat. Sadly, I had to send them back. Farewell cute shoes.

This is an old-school style shoe, down to the leather sole and how the heel is made. The materials are good quality and the workmanship is excellent. Being old-school, that means that the leather soles are slippery at first, but I expect this to improve with wear. When I tried them on, they felt narrow, but as the day has worn on the leather is stretching out nicely. I fully expect it to be pretty well conformed to my feet after a short time, so the narrowness at first should not present a problem for an average width foot. If you have extra-wide feet, this shoe will likely be quite uncomfortable until the leather breaks in. The second thing was when I first put on these shoes and walked around, they slid on my heels, but I laced them up snugly, and as the day has gone on, they are not rubbing and I don't notice any problems - and I'm very picky about this sort of thing. Although I have short toes, the shoe is longer in the toe than most, so it might seem they are too big. Looking at where my arch and ball of my foot sits in the shoe, I believe these are true to size, and that this length is just the style; if I had a smaller size, I'd probably be cramming my toes in and it would be uncomfortable.

I love my Carson Oxfords. They are extremely comfortable. I like the classic masculine look. However, next time around I would prefer a higher heel.

These arrived today. I was really looking forward to having them! Unfortunately, the rise of the leather over the heel isn't high enoughâ?¦whenever I took a step, the shoe stayed close to the floor and my heel rose right out of it. Otherwise, very true to fit in width and length. Bummer.

Nice, nunish-boyish shoe - I've always been a sucker for men's wear and love that Frye does guy shoes for girls. I'm a lawyer and can pull these off with suits and business casual wear. I like that its conservatism is what makes them edgy. Well made as all Frye products are.

Shoes run large - order half size smaller. Dark brown color is much darker in person - almost black - than appears in online picture. Superb quality and very comfortable. I am exchanging for smaller pair in cognac instead.
