I love these shoes. They are cute, comfortable for walking, and go with anything. I was concerned a bit about spending so much money on them (for me these are pricey shoes) but they were totally worth it.

I love these shoes. They look great with rolled-up jeans. I liked them so much that I had to order them in brown also. I did have to go down a half size. They do run a little big.

These shoes are so much cuter in person than in the picture! They are also extremely comfortable and sturdy. I imagine these will be in my life for a long, long time. They felt a little larger than the size I ordered, but since the toe lifts up, I actually recommend ordering your true size...you'll just have a little extra toe wiggle room.

I'm in love with these shoes. I walk about 3 miles a day in my commute and I found the Frye Carson Oxford to be comfortable right out of the box. I was concerned they would be too narrow and take a long time to break in, but this has not been the case. They look great with skinny jeans, boot cut jeans, slacks, and with tights and a dress.

I flirted with these shoes for a few months, deciding whether to spend the money. I needed an extremely comfortable shoe for my business casual office because I converted my workspace to standing due to neck and back issues. I had a terrible time deciding on a color so I ordered two shades of brown plus the congac. The congac is gorgeous, not too orangey, as I was afraid of, so I sent the two browns back. And they are SO comfortable. Stiff for about 5 minutes, then they just mold to your feet, plus good arch support. I am a pretty solid 8 and they fit perfectly. The long toe might be why people say they run big, but in my opinion they are true to size. As far as the slippery soles some reviewers mention, one walk across a parking lot and the slipperiness wears off. Remarkable craftsmanship, too. Very happy with my purchase. I've been wearing them with boyfriend chinos and jeans. Might try them with a skirt one of these days.

Order these while you can still get your mitts on them! Lovely shoe - very sturdy,and 'substantial'. I love the antique charcoal color - a great alternative to black. Got these in the mail last night - wearing them today already. Worked my outfit around these beautiful kicks!

Beautiful shoe and very well-made. Does seem to run long (big) and narrow. The toe box is round and and slightly elevated. If your feet are even just slightly wide, these may be a hard fit.

I wear between a 7.5 and 8 and the 7.5's fit me perfectly. I have a narrow heel and these shoes are perfect. Enough room in the toe box for my normal width forefoot. Beautiful in the antique dark brown. Very well made shoes. I'm trying to break the sneaker habit and I was surprised I was able to wear these without break in.

Unusual and swank-looking color. My foot is a little narrower than B width. I was able to put my soft arch insole in the shoes and still have it feel comfortable. A little stiff at first, but it feels like it will loosen up.

I am a professional musician, and I'm always looking for a comfortable but classy black shoe. I have worn my Dansko clogs to shreds, and I wanted to go for a completely different look. I own a pair of Frye boots, and they are made with such fantastic craftsmanship, that I wanted to give the Oxford a try. I will be wearing them all over Prague this summer because they fit so well and are supremely comfortable.

Using the incredibly helpful Zappos reviewer comments, I purchased this shoe in black. It really is a 5 star shoe. From the first day, it was totally comfortable. I work about 14 hours at a time and this feels great with hosiery or thin pant socks. The more Frye shoes and boots I get, the more impressed I am with their products. Because their boots have been so fabulous, I decided to try Frye shoes. These are keepers. These shoes make any outfit look sharper, and they feel very good. I wear a solid size 8, when I buy Frye, I get an 8 for boots and shoes. Some people find that the sizing is a little different in Frye but for me, the same size works well. My foot is a little wide, which may account for being able to wear an 8 in Frye. I hope that this information helps you select the right size for you. I would buy this in another color, but they weren't available in my size. Also, I'm really frugal, but I paid full price for these, no regrets.

This shoe is beautifully crafted and uses quality material. I suggest ordering half a size smaller as other reviewers have recommended. The bottoms of these shoes are also quite slippery, but sand paper will solve the issue. I love the style of this shoe so much that I bought it in two colors. (The tan color is not as yellow as it appears in the photo. It is more of a light brown, and the stain is gorgeous.) The 1 1/2 inch heel is very comfortable to walk in all day.

Great shoe - love it so much, I have the purple and the tan. I would buy other colors, but my size is sold out. The shoe does run big. Order a half smaller then your usual size.

I bought half a size small (8 instead of 8½) as per the other reviews and they fit perfectly! They even relax slightly with wear. I absolutley these shoes, they are equally adorable with jeans or dresses. I wear them daily.

These look great, and are very comfortable. Ran sandpaper lightly over the soles as another reviewer commented they were slick; gave perfect traction. Walked forever in them the first day.

These are beautiful! Clearly very well made and high quality leather. They run big, so order a half or full size down. I've been looking for oxfords for a while and these are the best! Note: the tan color is prettier in person than in the picture - a little deeper brown.

If you wear 'real' cowboy boots then you will appreciate the fine quality of these shoes. They definitely do run a half size large as I had to return size 8 for 7 . It is the length of the shoe that is too 'big' - so gel pads, etc. will not help the fit. Just like high quality cowboy boots these need no cushioning/gel pads and they look great! These are my first pair of Frye but I have Nacona, Justin, Tony Lama, and Ariat. Frye is on the same level.

Very nice shoe, quality is outstanding. I was very pleased; however, I exchanged for a .5 size smaller. I think this shoe runs big because it is so well made.

Why bother buying anything else. Frye nails it every time. Engineer boot owners, rejoice at the lighter weight and awesome stacked heels.

What a great shoe! All leather, even the lining! I just wore them to San Francisco and the shop women from the trendy stores wanted to know who made them. They are sized well and I love the heel height in this tie shoe, not too flat.

Awesome oxford. Comfortable, plenty of toe room which I need for a bunion. Stylish, has a little of a boot look if you don't see the laces. Fits almost true to size maybe a tad big. Fawn is a great neutral, has variations in color. Walked in them for the get go with total comfort.

Beautiful shoe, lovely color. Unfortunately too high across my high instep. Ordered 1/2 size down per most other reviewers and agree it is a particularly long shoe. I had to return it because of the snug fit.

This is the best shoe ever. I am totally in love with them. I have already bought two colors and if ever they go on sale; I will try to get the ones I don't have. I did go down a half a size and they fit like a dream. A little narrow, but I think that just keeps the shoe looking feminine. They are awesome. You will not be disappointed.

Fits true to size...for me, at least. I am, according to a shoe store person, "a perfect size 7." These shoes fit. I've been wearing them with thin/medium socks and there is a bit of room at the front, but they taper at the toe and it leaves no room for slipping or awkwardness. A beautiful shoe, looks great with pants and skirts. Like all Frye things, I'm expecting them to break in wonderfully soon.

Love this shoe. I was worried about the upturned end, but like the other reviewers, it really is subtle and adds to the unique character of the shoe. I ordered tan and it is gorgeous and worth the price. It does run narrow and do order a half size smaller. I usually were a 9 narrow and I ordered a 8.5 medium.
