I just received my order and I am in love! I’ve been on the fence about buying the 5050 all these years. I have the lowlands and the tielands, which are fabulous. I finally hit the bullet and bought these. I put them on as soon as hubby brought the package in. It’s hard to put on SW boots, however once on, it fits like a glove. The Napa leather is beautiful and I can’t wait to wear them out!

An icon of fashion, beauty and comfort. I have 3 pairs and love them all. They bring the perfect edge to any outfit and are comfortable all day long. I notice done reviewers felt these ran large. I disagree. I am a true size 9.5 Wide and these are perfect - I have a very (very) high instep and high arch and have no problem getting them on thanks to the stretchy back and there’s even room for a slim arch support. I do not like my toes squeezed - and hate that feeling of toes touching the front of shoes. If you like a shorter fit - you could opt for a half size down. I do wish that SW still offered the nice blue suede and more colors in wide widths. The colors other than basic black and slate this year were just - well awful - but the basic black Napa, black suede and slate suede are classics that hopefully will remain forever. Expensive for sure with but care they last forever!

These boots are awesome. I usually wear a 6.5, but I went for a 7 wide in these shoes because I wanted extra room. I bought the 6.5 wide and returned them because they were hard to get on. The size 7W shoes I'm keeping are also a bit hard to get on. They are the only boots to fit my skinny 13 inch calves perfectly. They are stretchy and can be worn with jeans. I reccomend these shoes if you have narrow calves. Also, they go right over my knees and I'm 5' 4". I have spent hours looking for the perfect boots, and this is it!

Great otk boots. Yes, they are pricey, but totally worth it. Fit like glove, complement my outfit. With just tees & jeans, it is already effortless chic! Always my last resort when I don’t know what to wear.

Wonderful boot. I just purchased my second pair of the same exact boot after I wore the same ones 5 years in a row. A great buy, sexy, comfortable and look great both with leggings or skirts.

I have waited for almost two years to find the 5050's in a color other than black as well as at a price I can afford. It was well worth the wait. The Hickory Brown and Asphalt Gray colors popped up on Zappos at nearly 50 percent off. I immediately ordered them. I have wide feet so often wear a size 9 in shoes with a narrower toe. However these boots fit me perfectly in an 8.5. The colors and material are beautiful and rich and the comfort is beyond description. They elongate my legs and I am hoping for another cold snap so I can wear them before the weather warms up and I have to wait until fall. Highly recommend them and I so appreciate Zappos notifying me when they finally became available.

This is my 3rd pair of 5050 boots; now owned in black nappa, cola suede and navy (nice blue) suede. I absolutely love them all. They make my size 11.5 feet look as hip and classy as a normal sized person. In these I took a half size down in size 11, and they fit amazingly. The fact that SW even do sizes in the first place is simply amazing. I have 26 pairs of their shoes and they all fit amazingly well... next stop will be the reserve boot. Thank you zappos for carrying a wide range of stock and fit the amazing return policy too.

I have been contemplating buying these boots for the last few Winter seasons, but a bad experience with another Over The Knee boot had me hesitating (for the record that was a $1200 pair of Valentinos that were just impossible to take on and off--huge waste of money!). These SW's are just fabulous. First, they are easy on and off if you take a moment to sit down and roll them down before putting them on or taking off. The quality, comfort and construction are all top notch and the sturdy sole is great for walking around the city. I purchased the black suede and it's exceptionally soft. I liked this combo the best as it blends in great with the elastic back making your legs look a mile long coming and going. These are great with leggings, skinny jeans etc. I have a number of pairs of SWs and I am always a 9 and 1/2. In these boots the 9 and 1/2 had about an extra inch of toe room, the 9 is perfect in length and width. Great purchase!

These are fab. They look and feel great. I love the rubber soles. I ordered what I usually order as my size: 10.5. I did this with some trepidation, since lasts vary so much. I found that the 10.5 is just a smidgen large; not even half a size. But that's perfect! It means I can wear padded gym socks with these boots and get extra soft comfort! I had wanted these black suede ones and was pleased that they were even on sale.

I have skinny calves & had bought so many pairs of boots. I have spent so much money trying to find the perfect pair of boots to fit my skinny calves but long legs. And although I have found some they do not fit my calves & i have to wear thick socks or use boots cuffs to make them look like they fit. This boots hugged my calves & I have never owned anything that hugged my calves. I tried th as soon as I got the package & I loved them!!! I wore them for the first time today and have gotten so many compliments at work (wore them with a short shift dress with a long black blazer to balance the edginess of the boots). I will NEVER buy another pair of boots. Still contemplating because of the cost? I have spent so much money in boots & ABSOLUTELY NONE of the ones I currently have even come close to this pair. BUY THE BOOTS, YOU WILL BE SO HAPPY! And Zappos customer service is THE BOMB!

You get what you pay for. Exceptional quality and fit. It's so hard to find knee-high boots that fit well and look great. I'm glad I went for the splurge. I expect to be able to wear these for years, rather than continuing to spend $200 each year on something that either wears out or doesn't really fit.

After reading many many reviews, I ordered half a size smaller 7.5 in B in nappa leather, from another seller. (I usually wear 8, with the occasional 8.5). They were terribly tight around my ankles, so much that my legs went numb! They weren't too small size wise, and hugged nicely around my calves. However, my ankles and top of my feet were in horrible pain. Luckily I found out Zappos also carries them in wide! I ordered an 8 in W the second time. And my God do they feel and look amazing!! I'm in love with these boots. Might take a while longer, but getting the sizing right is so worth it!

Love, love, love these boots. They were a little spendy fur me, but worth the money. They look terrific over jeans, pants , tights & skirts. Fits well& comfortable.

OK, they were worth the hype (if maybe not the $). I'd bought black suede boots in the past, and they were never quite right. In particular, I'm really tall, with a ~35-36 inseam, and knee-high boots often don't come anywhere my knee. I wanted black suede boots that would reach my knee, be comfortable, and be attractive. Et voila, the 5050s. They're not over-the-knee on me (see my inseam, above!), but they do reach just about to my kneecap. They're so comfy, and they look great. Surprising bonuses: (1) They're a lot warmer than I expected them to be, considering they have no lining, and (2) considering how tall (and zipper-free) they are, I find them quite easy to get on and off. I'm a runner and have a well-muscled calf, about 15 3/4 inches in diameter, and I can fit leggings or skinny jeans inside them - regular jeans won't fit. I wear size 11 in street shoes, and that's what I got in these, which was the correct size. I still wish they were about half the price, but for me they were well worth it.

These boots rock! BUT they run large, both in width and length. I have a AAA width foot, and 50% of my shoes are Stuart Weitzman. I almost always, without question, wear an 8N. In this boot, the 7.5 narrow fits me better than the 8N. Try a half size down!

I just love these boots.They are so comfortable and yet so fashionable! I actually have 3 pairs of them now and although they are expensive, they are worth every penny because I wear them all the time. A great investment.I recommend them highly.

I finally splurged after two seasons of belly-aching about whether or not I had to have these boots. I am so glad that I did. They are extremely stylish, flattering, comfortable, and I absolutely love them. I get tons of compliments every time I wear them. My only complaint is that I have thicker calfs (athletic) so wearing them over pants is uncomfortable for me. Just my build - not a flaw with the boots. I usually just wear them with tights. Also, I am 5'4" and they hit me in the crease in the back of my leg so I wear them turned down. I wish that they were a hair shorter. These are great boots, though. I recommend them, for sure. The quality is excellent, as well.

I have square feet and wide calves (lucky me) and boots that fit are nearly impossible to find. I debated spending the money on these but they are really worth it and have become my everyday boots, especially if I know that I am going to be doing a lot of walking. I am thinking about saving for a second pair. The boots do run big by at least a half size.

Yes another five star review for these boots! They fit true to size and I have absolutely no issues putting these on nor taking them off. No break in time required, they are extremely comfortable while wearing them all day and evening long. I ordered both the Napa leather, (feels like butter), and the Smoked Wildcat suede. Both are chic, sophisticated, and sexy. They make thin legs look a mile long. I actually get many compliments on both pairs but, almost everyone I come across gives extremely favorable response to the Smoked Wildcat. (My favorite as well). They are expensive but I have never come across another boot that I so love!

Sadly, I returned these because I just didn't have the legs for them. But they are gorgeous and so comfortable. Ladies if you can, buy them!

These boots are wonderful. I have never spent this kind of money on a pair of boots before but after making the plunge I have no regrets. The blue color is gorgeous. The fit (I wear a size 10) is perfect - no breaking in. They are super comfortable, yet sexy. They are high end in every way. I will love these for a long time.
