Way lighter and more comfortable then my old Nikes, but for some reason I'm not 100% happy with the feel when I'm out running. Getting a slight sore and weird pain in my feet that I cant really describe. Could just be my fault for not getting the right shoe for my needs so can't blame it all on the shoe.

This shoe is comfortable right out of the box, however, I do not like the off-center lacing. I'm not sure if this is for function or looks, but after a couple of miles the lacing closest to my big toe rubs a sore spot on the joint. I'll have to go with another style.

I've been using the Nimbus shoe for a while now, and this edition feels slightly worse than the previous ones. I buy this particular shoe for the arch support, and that's fine. I buy this brand for the narrow heel, and this shoe feels wider for some reason. Also, there is almost an over-abundance of padding. This is still a great shoe, but for something so expensive, I'll shop around to find something perfect the next time around.

I had the Nimbus 11 and was needing a replacement. This shoe has more ankle support than the 11 and it takes some getting used to. Also, it is seems a bit bulkier. Sizing is the same on the two shoes, but do order 1/2 size larger than your non-athletic shoes. They are well padded and fit a narrow foot nicely. (Mine are a 9N.) This is a great shoe for runners and power-walkers.

I have been running in Gel-Nimbus' for the last 5 years. I bought a pair of the Nimbus 12 in June after wearing Gel-Nimbus 11 for only a couple of weeks because I found them very uncomfortable and they gave me horrible shin splints. I loved the Nimbus 12 and recently bought another pair but they do not feel the same at all, which is very disappointing. My second pair felt as though the gel pads were left out. I bought another pair to see if it was just a defect in the pair I ordered, and I found the same thing. So now, I am back to running in the pair I bought in June, and after about 700 miles of running, they still feel as comfortable as they did the day I bought them.

I have purchased many pairs of Asics shoes over the years from Zappos and love the prompt service and easy returns. I expected this shoe to feel like the other Gel-Nimbus shoes I've had but found them to be a little tighter in the heel area and not as cushiony. Usually the Gel-Nimbus shoes feel so springy and cushioned but this new style seemes stiffer. Also, the left tongue always ends up out of place. I've never had this issue before. Still a great shoe for someone with high arches and orthotics, but I liked the Gel-Nimbus 11 better.

I tried this shoe on at a local store to see if I liked it or not. Although it was comfortable enough, I guess, I hated the way the laces were "cockeyed". I don't understand the reason for this. It makes the shoe look defective.

These are extremely comfortable and lived up to the description. A little thick, but that is why they have so much support.

I purchased these for a two week trip to Italy, planning for lots of walking. Overall, these shoes fit true to size and width, but after a few days of constant wear (10+ hrs/day, 5+ miles/day), my feet started to slide a little inside the shoe. If I switched shoes for a day, this problem went away, so I'm guessing it's just from too much constant wear. These shoes are much better for running than for walking or standing, but they are an okay walking shoe. If you are looking for a supportive shoe for standing (ex. working a retail job, security, etc), then these are not the right shoe for you. If you want a great running shoe, these seem like a runner's dream. The few times I had to race to catch up in these, I didn't want to stop running (and that's saying a lot, given my general aversion to running anywhere). I think there may be better walking shoes out there, though I did not have major issues using these. My feet were pretty tired at the end of each day, but that may also be due to not being used to walking so much.

I love these shoes -- they have been great for my running, but I've had them for ~6 weeks now, and already my big toe on my left foot has worn through the fabric. I am super-bummed, because they are otherwise really terrific shoes. :(

OK shoes. I've had a pair before and liked them, but this time, part of the sole fell off of both feet within a couple weeks.

I got the D width but these weren't as wide as other D width shoes. They are also not as "cushy" as I was hoping for. I've owned Asics in the past and loved them, but these just don't have that same comfort. My feet hurt after wearing them all day at work.

Asymmetric lacing was not what I had expected. I found the look was not for me. Also, the shoe irritated my bunions. Happily the ASICS GT-2160 fit well. Thank you Zappos for letting me order three styles, each in two sizes (one a half size larger, as per reviews), and choose the one that was right.

I thought these shoes were extremely uncomfortable. Several spots were rubbing on my feet and there was not enough arch support. I returned these for a pair of shoes that I love: Mizuno Wave Nirvana 7.

These were just too bulky. I think I had the right size, but the sole just extends pretty far out in all directions in comparison to the insole. I felt like I would trip over my own feet.

I live on my feet between massaging people and walking my puppy. I needed to replace my Gel-Trabuco's after about 6-8 months of use. I ordered 5 pair of Asics to compare and contrast. I tried them on at the end of a long day. This is my opinion (listed in the order I tried them on): 1. Gel Pulse 3: Good, solid, basic sneaker. Felt supportive and cushiony enough. Aesthetically pleasing. Ended up as choice #2. See Gel-Landreth for more details. It lost to Gel-Train Sensor because out of the box if felt a little too much like the Trabuco's I'm replacing, in their current state. 2. GEL-Landreth 6: Nice! Soft, comfy, love the heel cup! Very attractive. Felt awesome on the rug, a little lumpy on the wood floor and the heel is def lower on these than the others. Tried them on again after the first round, tried one left foot with a Gel-Pulse right foot and vice versa. The Pulse felt like a more substantial shoe, the Landreth almost strikes me as a shoe that could be used for sprinting. 3. Gel-Nimbus 12: No real opinion on these, not comfy not uncomfy. I wanted to like them but they didn't hold a candle to the first two pair I tried on. 4. Salomon XT Wings 2: My least favorite pair and I knew it the moment I slid my foot in. Felt like balloons, very roomy inside, kind of stiff last, overall very uncomfortable. 5. Gel-Trail Sensor 4: Divine shoes! Comfortable the moment I slipped my foot in, supportive yet soft and flexible. The difference between walking on the rug and wood floor was practically undetectable. Felt like I was walking on air. Kind of a tripped out, uber supportive slipper. I'm a solid side 10 and this 10 feels a tad smaller than the other 10s. If you're actually running in them, consider a 1/2 size larger.

I'm an underpronator in love with my old Saucony ProGrid Ride 2 sneakers. Unfortunately they need replacing so based on previous reviews I decided to try the Asics Gel Nimbus 12. Comfort, of course, is my number one priority but unlike other reviewers I am struggling to appreciate these shoes. They are much harder and more unyielding than what I am used to, plus I also find that the off center laces are hitting the main bone to my big toe, and I am sure if I attempted to run that area would be rubbed raw. As choice is limited for underpronators like me, I have walked and walked around my home in the hopes I can ignore the pain, but have decided I really can't live with the discomfort to the top of my foot, and will be returning them.

I have bought two pair of Nimbus online (only this pair from Zappos) rather than going to a store. Neither pair has quite has the "on a cloud" feel that the Nimbus is known for. This pair was moderate - not bad enough to send back like the other pair, but not near as good as the pairs I have bought in a store. Asics Nimbus have never disappointed me despite this minor issue. I will never wear another shoe!

I wore my first pair of Gel-Numbus until they practically fell apart. Tried the Gel-Nimbus 12 with the off-center lacings. I wear 6.5, but I need a wider area where the toes meet the foot because I suffer from bunions on my little toe. Plus I use my own orthotics. I love the way these look, but the fit is a bit "tight" across the tops of the toes. I think the problem is because of my own orthotics which is thicker than what comes with the shoe. Going to a 7 would not work because then the shoe would be too "long" and trip me up. I do like the fact that they feel supportive of my foot overall. Color is great and the reflective material is perfect in low light situations. Wish I had a new pair of my "old" Gel-Nimbus. I gave them to my daughter who is a runner. Problem with buying on-line from Zappos is that you can't try them on first. Guess it is back to the retail store. Sigh.

I was very disappointed after being so excited to get these stylish shoes. Normally I can wear a 7W and had to get half a size bigger. These do not have good arch support or cushioning. After wearing them extensively indoors I discovered that the gel heel was too giving and did not provide support but they made my heels and knees hurt, as well as making my plantar fascitis flare up. I sent back both pairs for New Balance instead.

The laces are designed to be off center, it makes for a very odd appearance. Take a look at all angles of this shoe before purchase.

I love Asics, but there is nothing good about this shoe. I bought this shoe because it is supposedly for under-pronators, but they still have a slant to the outside of the foot. They have a wider toe box than most Asics, they come almost to a point at the toe, the crooked laces drive me nuts, and the style is nothing special. Unfortunately, I wore them outside and can't return them.
