You will love these shoes the moment you put them on! You can feel the cushion from the front to the back. They never need to be broke in, they are comfortable from the start. A bit high priced but worth the money! I got another brand to try out because of the price of these, they were horrible. I went right back to the Asics! I had a pair that I basically wore out and loved to their last day! I use these 6 days a week/2 hours a day for my workouts (weight lifting) and 30min cardio for the Couch to 5K. Excellent shoes!

Love these Asics Gel Nimbus 12. They are like clouds on my feet. I wouldn't buy anything else and Zappos has the best selection.

These shoes feel like I'm truly walking on clouds. Lots of cushioning; wide toe box like most all Asics running shoes. Very happy with these.

Tried these in 11 and 11 1/2 - to me it felt like they were the same. Both short in the toe. I'm going back to what I always do - ordering a Men's 10.

Love this shoe! I am a nurse and I work 12 hour shifts. I have tried many different types of shoes to find a style to get me through the entire night shift, and I finally found it with this shoe. It took a few weeks to really break them in, but now I really feel like I'm walking on a cloud. These were originally purchased just to be a work shoe, but I find myself wearing them all the time now. I will definitely be purchasing a second pair. Thanks, Zappos!

Fabulous shoe for obese woman who wants to get moving...very light, very cushy - they are shiny silver which surprised me a bit but the feel is fabulous!

I have never had a good walking shoe until now. I was fitted recently and it was recommended to me to purchase this shoe for the Asics reputation, overall comfort and support. As soon as I put these on, it just felt right. There was so much comfort and support that I immediately fell in love with them. I would highly recommend these shoes to anyone who is looking for a shoe that is very cushiony, roomy, supportive and comfortable. I did not purchase these on Zappos but I will in the future because they are a lot cheaper on this website than what I paid for at our running store!

You cannot go wrong with the Asics Gel-Nimbus. This is my shoe of choice for walking and jogging.

Love this shoe. I am a nurse and am on my feet for greater than 12hr and my feet don't ache at the end of the day.

I live on my feet between massaging people and walking my puppy. I needed to replace my Gel-Trabuco's after about 6-8 months of use. I ordered 5 pair of Asics to compare and contrast. I tried them on at the end of a long day. This is my opinion (listed in the order I tried them on): 1. Gel Pulse 3: Good, solid, basic sneaker. Felt supportive and cushiony enough. Aesthetically pleasing. Ended up as choice #2. See Gel-Landreth for more details. It lost to Gel-Train Sensor because out of the box if felt a little too much like the Trabuco's I'm replacing, in their current state. 2. GEL-Landreth 6: Nice! Soft, comfy, love the heel cup! Very attractive. Felt awesome on the rug, a little lumpy on the wood floor and the heel is def lower on these than the others. Tried them on again after the first round, tried one left foot with a Gel-Pulse right foot and vice versa. The Pulse felt like a more substantial shoe, the Landreth almost strikes me as a shoe that could be used for sprinting. 3. Gel-Nimbus 12: No real opinion on these, not comfy not uncomfy. I wanted to like them but they didn't hold a candle to the first two pair I tried on. 4. Salomon XT Wings 2: My least favorite pair and I knew it the moment I slid my foot in. Felt like balloons, very roomy inside, kind of stiff last, overall very uncomfortable. 5. Gel-Trail Sensor 4: Divine shoes! Comfortable the moment I slipped my foot in, supportive yet soft and flexible. The difference between walking on the rug and wood floor was practically undetectable. Felt like I was walking on air. Kind of a tripped out, uber supportive slipper. I'm a solid side 10 and this 10 feels a tad smaller than the other 10s. If you're actually running in them, consider a 1/2 size larger.

Cheaper price at Zappos than at Academy. The new model has a lot of cushion. I ran with them recently at the Boston Marathon.

I ordered these shoes on a Thursday evening around 9:00 p.m. and I received them the next day at 1:00 p.m. These shoes are great. Thanks Zappos!

Finally! I have found a running shoe that I love! I under-pronate and have high arches and these are perfect! I have always been a Nike gal but I am now all about the Asics. I returned the Nike Zoom Vomeros and got these. So happy! I see myself buying many more of these shoes in the future. Great to run in! Not as "cute" as the Nike shoes...but with shoes this comfortable, who cares?!

Most cushioned running shoe ever! I have a wide toe box and these always give me plenty of room. Plus, they look pretty good for sneaks.

Great comfortable shoe. I usually wear an 11.5 in Asics but these seem to run small so I am returning for a size 12.

Asics Gel-Nimbus running shoes have been my "go to" shoes for the past 5 years at least. They are great for a neutral to slightly supinated stride; I tend to balance on the outsides of my feet and these shoes help correct that without over-correcting.

Thank goodness for Zappos! Buying my daughter's replacement Asics school shoes was such a headache since she is so picky on comfort level and has wide feet. She identified these as her no. 1 pick locally but couldn't find the blue nor could we find the wide fit. Zappos solved our problems and we knew there would be no return shipping costs had they not worked out.

These shoes are fantastic! My husband is an Asics fan so he encouraged me to purchase these. I was not disappointed. Very soft on the feet and extremely comfortable. I've just started running again and I must say these shoes are a must have for a runner.

Wow! The cushioning is superb! My first time on the elliptical and no numbness feeling for 30 minutes. My previous Nike's did not work as well and they had as much cushioning.

The most comfortable running shoes to date! It feels like walking on a firm trampoline. These have moderate arch support which is great for my high arches. It's also stylish enough for casual wear. The black and violet is such a different yet versatile color. It's a lot better than all the blues and whites out there.

I am hooked on the Gel Nimbus shoe. This is my 5th pair! They provide great cushioning for everyday wear and also good support for exercise walking. They tend to run a little narrower through the heel, which helps keep my heel in the shoe. The forefront is roomy so toes don't get squished. I remove the insole and put my orthotics in these shoes and they still fit really well.

This shoe is awesome! I was looking for a good shoe for walking and after reading some reports that running shoes may provide more cushioning for walking I started researching running shoes. This one definitely meets my needs. The gel in the sole provides excellent cushioning. I love the off-center lacing; the tongue stays in place and doesn't shift like my other shoes. It is so comfortable for walking. I dont' run so I can't confirm how the shoe performs for running. It is priced higher than I usually pay for a walking shoe but I feel it's worth the extra $'s. I normally wear 8-8.5 and ordered 8.5; fits perfect. Just ordered a 2nd pair in the gray color.

Great comfy shoe, I have neuropathy 'nerve damage' from chemo, in my feet. It is painful & it burns. The gel action makes these the most wearable shoe I own! I needed a walking/running/work-out shoe. The only thing I didn't much care for but I can live with (it's an athletic shoe), is the color selection. Outside of that, with my wide, high arch, neutral feet, this was the best shoe for me! Zappos is very accommodating, their flexibility for checking out size (I had to go up 1/2 a size) & other brands, I was able to research as if I were in a store. They made this process so simple & easy especially with their free shipping 'both ways' policy!

It is very hard to find shoes for under pronators. This is the best! Size up .5.

I ordered my first pair of Asics from Zappos and learned I needed a half size larger than usual. Zappos sent the new size quickly, and I am very, very happy with this tennis shoe. It has cushioning and support in the right places for me.
