The shoe fits great. When I wore thick woolen socks it felt like my feet were walking on clouds. Felt warm enough for regular walking; however, didn't keep my toes warm after being outside for over 30 minutes. The sole is very flat, and the ice-pick technology didn't stop me from sliding around on ice. If you like to stuff your pants into the boot, this one doesn't have any room for that. Also, it started fraying a little bit around the edges where it is sewn together. Overall a good boot for running errands in during winter, but not warm enough to play in the snow.

These boots are truly the best. We moved to Alaska and these were the pair that caught my eye. They keep my feel super warm and have great traction for those snowy icy weather conditions up here. They will work in any weather I even wear then in the summer up here when the weather is rainy and dreary. They are waterproof also. Truly these boots are the only pair you will ever need! You won't regret these boots.

Absolutely love these boots! I bought them for a trip I take my class on every other year to Washington, D.C. and New York. I have made this trip 7 times and had yet to find a pair of shoes that both kept my feet warm and provided the comfort and support of 14 hours of hard walking. This boot finally did it! I talked my other two teachers into getting the same boot and they also love it! I can't say enough about it! I found the fit run small, but one of the other teachers thought they ran large. With Zappos free shipping, you could try both sizes and keep the one that fits.

If you live in the NYC area, you know how bad the snow has been in 2011. These boots have kept my feet warm and dry through the harsh snow. I don't recommend stepping in any deeper puddles with these boots - as they are not really water proof above about two inches. I also purchased these a half size bigger than normal, based off other reviews, and they fit great.

I was hoping for a more substantial boot - these were a little flimsy and smaller than an 8. I would recommend ordering a size up. These are look good feel good boots...not storm boots.

Love! Feels like you are wearing slippers! I just bought myself a pair; when my mom tried them on I could tell she loved them so I ordered another pair for her for Christmas. They aren't as high up my calf as I thought they would be but I don't care because they are so cute and comfy!

These are great boots, nice and warm and comfortable to walk in. I wear a size 8. The 8 fit perfectly (in a store), but I purchased the 8-1/2 so I have room for socks.

Wow no more cold feet. Have been looking for these type of boots for a long time. I have cold feet all the time, yes even in summer, and these are wonderful. I put these on the first day I got them, and wore them all day with no cold feet. If you need to wear heavy socks, order size up, but I wear a size 9, and they fit fine with smart wool socks. Don't know about waterproof or snow yet, we haven't had much here in Montana this year in our area, but feel they will be fine. Thanks for a marvelous boot.

I bought these to wear for outdoor pictures at my wedding. It hasn't happened yet but wearing them around the house they're really comfortable! So comfortable and warm that the first pair we bought (a whole size too small!) my mother kept for herself! They look good, they're warm, comfortable, light, and flexible. I have yet to check the water "resistant" part.

These boots looked great online, so I ordered them for my winter vacation. When I opened the box, I was slightly disappointed and my husband gave me unflattering comments, because they were so shiny. However, I kept them and off we went on our trip. When I slipped them on, they were awesome and they looked great! They kept my feet warm for hours! When I wore them snowmobiling, it took about 4 hours before my toes began to get cold, however, I did not have warm socks on as I forgot to bring them with me. I do not regret buying these boots!

I got these boots after months of searching for the right pair. They are amazing, warm and cozy, and the anti-slip feature on the tread is perfect when carrying my squirmy two-year-old on the ice. I rated the arch support as moderate, but it's far better than most other boots I've tried. Not quite excellent, but very good. I also appreciate the softness around the ankle. The boots were highly recommended by my friend from Chicago, who certainly knows her cold weather gear, and they don't disappoint.

Purchased these for a Christmas gift. Had trouble not keeping them for myself! The recipient loved them too. They are beautiful, comfortable, warm, and practical boots.

These boots are amazing. I am always good and was looking for something cute to keep my feet warm at football games. I would highly recommend them!

The plushy fabric and cushy sole make this boot a winter delight! Easy on and off is a bonus also!

These are extremely comfortable and lightweight. I test drove them last week during a trip to NYC in which the weather was cold and wet. The boots never got wet, nor did it get extremely cold, but I really was impressed with how comfortable they were. I was happy until I noticed that the binding around the front is beginning to shed and needs to be trimmed away. I am hoping within time, like mid winter that this unraveling does not destroy the boot. Also you must fully unlace the boot otherwise you can see where you will rip the thing that holds the laces. Also a tad slippery on the new eco tile, that is like rubbery tile, that is becoming popular. I fear I will only get one winter out of this boot. I expected much more for the price and from North Face.

Love mine! Got the Khaki, plenty of room and comfortable. Nice color and warmth is hands down the best. I just relocated from Chicago to Iowa with my job and had no idea how much colder and more snow is here. The winds are like knives cutting through your skin. But these boots saved my feet & legs. No complaints. And once again Zappos are my best friend expedient, friendly, and value.

These boots are warm, stylish, and waterproof. I love this boot so much I am ordering my daughter a pair. Zappos is great with the overnight delivery, I just don't know how they do it with such consistency. You rule Zappos.

Very comfortable and warm! I haven't walked long distances in them yet, nor have I tested them in the snow. Those aspects are to be determined.

Just wore these for the first time in NE. Very warm and comfortable. I walk a lot in the city, and I like that these feel more like I'm wearing socks versus heavy, hard boots. Opinions might vary, of course on this. I bought a half-size bigger per other reviews, since. I think I could have stuck with my true size and been fine. They feel a tiny bit big (even with two pairs of socks worn).

I just bought these after agonizing over which winter boots to buy, including trying on about 10 other pairs of boots (Born, Sorel, Merrell, Bare Traps, Kamik, etc.). I usually wear an 8.5 to 9, I went with the 9 and they fit perfectly with wool socks. I have a medium width foot and the boots are very comfortable, although I agree with other reviewers that someone with a wide foot might feel a little tight. These boots are very warm and light. They were much more comfortable than waterproof boots I tried on, but I wanted something lighter and more flexible that would be good for driving and running errands. I agree with others that the boot could be improved by some arch support, but they are still very comfortable and I have not taken them off in the 2 hours since I got back from the store. I almost did not buy these boots because they are not waterproof, but my main concern was warmth in a very cold climate where it typically isn't wet until the spring. I have hardcore LL Bean waterproof boots for extreme circumstances, but they are too clunky for everyday wear. I am thrilled with the Nuptse, but it's late so I have to go to bed (possibly with my Nuptses still on my feet). Good luck finding the right boot for you. It's definitely harder than I had anticipated.

These are the best winter boots ever. They are super light, amazingly warm, and easy to clean. These are well worth the money and out perform every other winter boot I have ever had. I have two pairs and have bought them for my sister and mother too. They are amazing boots.

These boots are just wonderful. This is my 2nd pair; I wanted an extra! They are super comfortable, lightweight and amazing on snow and ice with the special ice grip bottom.
