I have enjoyed the Jack Purcell's so far. It's a handsome shoe and goes well with my khakis. I have heard, though, that they have poor arch support and eventually make your feet hurt. I hope that's not the case.

Great shoes. As at least one reviewer mentioned they are more purple then Grey but the color works.

True to size, but they do need to be worn a few times to be broken in, so don't plan to wear them for a long stretch the first few times. They look fantastic and once broken, very comfortable.

Stylish, funky and hip, I'm on my ump-teenth pair of these killer sneakers. I use them for pretty much everything although they do not have great arch support you can easily remedy that with an insert if you need to. They do tend to run a half size big so keep that in mind when you order. I have these in a few different colors I love these shoes!

I happen to have neither a high arch or flat feet, and it can a little hard to find a shoe with a moderate arch. These shoes fit my feet perfectly. The insole is like a half inch thick and is very comfortable. They feel way more comfortable than the standard Chuck Taylors, which happen to have zero\/little support. I recommend these shoes to anyone who have a smaller arch.

These have substantially more shape and support than the classic converse, and the softer fabric is easier on the feet. The color does have a purple cast, but it looks good and is distinctive. It took me three tries to get the right size. While they're not a narrow shoe per se, they are narrower than average and a bit small overall.

Great shoes. Very stylish, hip and easy to dress down or up. One of the best things about them was the immediacy of the break-in just after a few wears. Pretty true to size, even though I was told to order a half-size larger than normal Chucks, which I did. So, technically that was the half-size larger and worked just fine.

Great shoes, the style is great. I have had multiple compliments on these shoes. Several people thought they were purple at first. It is a unique shade of grey and I can see how someone might think they were light purple. Awesome shoes.

I like the shoe a lot. Not a ton of support but is solid for a summer shoe!

I'm usually a nine to a nine and a half. For this shoe I got a nine and a half and it was perfect. Super cute and comfortable shoe. And the color is great!

I got the orange, and it's the best looking orange shoe ever. As far as feel goes, it's more comfortable than the All Stars but less comfortable than the Cons CTS line. The toe box is pretty pinchy, but I knew that going in.

Bought these for my husband who thinks they are really cool! Zappos had best price and free shipping is always a bonus! They arrived on time and we are happy with the purchase!

Comfy, but I added extra padding in the heel because my own Achilles issues. For the average person this should not be an issue. Cute shoes.

Wonderful-ish shoe! I have wide feet so these fit beautifully compared to the regular Chucks. I'm waiting to break them in because the sides of the toes pinch painfully, but I'm sure it'll be fine in due time. Also, it seems to run a 1/2 size bigger, but other than that, these shoes are off to a great start! The color (beige/off white) is exactly how it looks too!

Very cute shoe but running a half size too small. These have an insert in them that makes the fit a little snug compared to my regular pair.

These are very cute but they do fit differently from the All-Stars. I bought the Navy/Milk and I love the white stitching on them! I had to get a smaller size in these than I usually wear.

Very cute! Agreed with other reviewers, much more purple then "grey" but I liked the color anyway. My pinky toes were pinching the first day I wore them but I think the shoes will stretch fine.

Shoes are very yellow and nice to look at. My only complaint is that the fabric around the side opening ripped as I was sliding the shoe on without first loosening the laces.

I ordered these in Pale Surplus gray and they are definitely more of a lavender color (which is what I was hoping for). I normally wear an 8 and I ordered these in a 7.5 and 7. The 7.5 feels a tad too long but the 7's were definitely too small. I think they feel a bit on the narrow side but I'm guessing after they are broken in they'll be just fine.

I wanted a color that was different than the standard charcoal grey, so I thought that "surplus grey" would fit the bill. Unfortunately, it's way more purple than grey! I had to return for another color. Besides that, the fit is great...could use a little more arch support, but that's to be expected with any Converse brand shoes. Size runs 1/4 to 1/2 size large.

Love the colors and classic style. Was a bit put-off by the quality of finish - overlocked edge on the tongue instead of a proper finish. Recommend using a shoe horn to put them on to avoid breaking down the backs.

This was my 2nd pair of Jack Purcells. Like the first, the shoe fit great. Add to that, it was received faster than expected. However, like some of the other reviewers, the color is too lavender and not enough gray for me. So, they're getting returned and I'll be watching for darker gray JP's on Zappos.

I loved the shoe and everything else fit perfectly but the front is way too narrow. My toes were really pinched. :( So sad.

These shoes are not good if you have wide feet. That big rubber/plastic part at the toe portion of the shoes does not expand. Also, the color is not gray rather it is light purple.
