These were the perfect shoes for transitioning back to footwear five weeks post-foot surgery. They're very gentle on the feet, casual enough not to draw too much attention, but decent enough for a more casual office environment. These were the best possible choice for getting back on my feet, and I continue to wear them anytime I just need to be comfy.

Update: I reviewed these shoes in November and have since taken them on a cruise. I wore them to walk all over the ship and on various tours at the ports. They were comfy in hot and cool temps and I never got any blisters or pain. I even wore them with a cute dress for the evening dinner because I didn't want to wear heels. They're super lightweight and packed flat. I would highly recommend these shoes for travel. FYI: I never got them wet or sandy.

These shoes are pretty okay! The mesh is a bit scratchy, not soft, but the shoes were comfy. I ordered the brown in size 10 and liked them enough to get the black in size 10 too, but the black turned out to run very small, and I had to send them back. The shoes don't offer a lot of support, but they are lightweight.

I got these because I wanted black flats for work that are comfy. These shoes are indeed quite comfortable. They have a couple drawbacks: Like most flats, they lack arch support. I wouldn't want to do a lot of walking in these. Also, he right shoe is rubbing a bit on my heel, but hopefully that will get better with continued wear. Overall, these are more comfortable than a lot of flats out there, they breathe well, and they're good quality.

Cute, comfortable and colored the bottoms of my feet black. Well, not a dark black. More like a medium gray. Regardless, not great considering that I like wearing these shoes sans socks.

Very comfortable and cute but they run BIG. Both wide and long. I've tried heel inserts to keep them on, but they still slip off. I'm keeping them because I like them, but they're not shoes I can walk a lot in because they are so big.

These were great walking around shoes for a recent trip to Rome. I walked and walked in them with no problems. Very breathable and stylish enough to not stand out as an obvious tourist. I did get stuck in the rain in them and the entire bottom of my foot turned black from the dye (and stayed that way for a few days even after vigorous scrubbing). A small price to pay to the comfy foot gods, in my opinion. I originally bought an 8 and needed to size down to a 7.5. Should have listened to the previous reviews!

I'm already a fan of Patagonia footwear, so I ordered two pairs of these flats, one black and one brown. Most of the time I wear a size 10, and since other reviewers said these shoes felt true to size, that's what I ordered. However, the black pair was so large that they wouldn't even stay on my feet. The brown pair fit a little better, but still a little roomy. So I'm returning both and will try to order a half size smaller.

This is a great shoe. It's very comfortable, easy to slip on and off but has enough grip that it doesn't slide when I walk, and unlike other flats I've tried this one breaths well so your foot does not sweat. I've been wearing mine for about 3 months now and they have held up well, even after getting wet. The one issue I have is with the elastic around the top. I've noticed that after about 3 hours, even just sitting at my desk, it starts to pinch my skin. Not enough to be painful just annoying. However this does not stop me from wearing them. I have a somewhat wide foot, typically I wear an 8 regular or 7.5 wide. I went with a 7.5 wide for these and they fit perfectly. They are a fantastic walking, travel shoe.

I wore those shoes all summer long. They are really comfy. very light, airy yet with arch support. I got many compliments on them and I would recommend them as travel shoe. I remember when I tried them on for the first time- it felt like walking on clouds-your feet will love them.

I was looking for comfortable flat that would be deep enough in the toe and accommodate a medium wide foot. These fit the bill really well. I like these shoes a lot, they fit well, are soft and comfortable.

Cute and very light on my foot. One shoe slightly bigger than the other. Serious quality control problems with shoe manufacturing these days. Can't seem to get a pair that is made well enough to keep. This is the fourth pair I've had to return this week.

The perfect summer shoe. Dressier and more versatile than sandals, these shoes look creat with capris, jeans, or a sundress. I love the pop of color. Comfy and cool looking. Sizing is tricky because you won't be wearing socks. I was happ with a full size smaller than normal.

The shoe fits at least a half size bigger than expected and has very little arch support but none-the-less it is so cute and comfortable with a flexible bottom that I recommend getting it anyway a half size down assuming your toes are shaped similiarly to the shoe toe. Otherwise, you might want your standard size.

Bought the brown, love the color and look of this shoe. Great flats for warmer weather. Very comfortable in the beginning; however, I live in the city and walk a lot every day - by the third day wearing these, the backs of both my heels were aching due to the shoe back. No blisters, just a faint red mark on the back of each heel, but the pain was terrible. It's a shame because they are perfect in every other way. If I figure out a way to remedy the heel problem, or it gets better in time, I'll post an update.

These are super cute and comfy, the heel does need to be broken in, and like most ballet flats, it kinda digs in till it loosens up. I wear a 9 or 9 and a half or 10... I took a 9 and a half in these. They are cute w capris or a casual skirt or dress.

If you want flats that are barely there, these are your shoes. They feel very light, and very low. If they fit you, this could be a good find for those who have worries about their feet feeling hot in ballerina flats. I had to return them because they fit me strangely, tight in the toes, but falling off the heel. The search for comfortable black flats continues!

I wanted to love these shoes but they just didn't work for me. I have pretty standard (if there is such a thing) arches and I didn't find these shoes to be at all supportive in that area. I was also expecting much more cushioning in the sole. They are super adorable and would have been perfect, but they aren't going to work for me walking a lot while running errands. I suppose that I could have gotten inserts, but I am one of those people that like my shoes to be comfortable before I have to make any modifications. Back they go. :-(

I'm a little disappointed in these shoes. I bought them because I am spending 3 months in Quebec and France, and I wanted a cute flat that would be comfortable to walk around in. The first time I wore them they gave me a ton of blisters. I could accept that, as it was the breaking in phase. But just take note, that if you want to wear these for lots of walking, make sure you break them in before hand!! As for the support, there wasn't much of it. My feet became quickly sore and achy. I'm not normally a person that puts a lot of focus on the comfort of shoes (I always go for a cute shoe over comfort), but I purposely spent quite a bit of money on these as I thought they would be comfortable. Not worth the money...

These are cute and feather light, but delicate. Mine were noticeably dirty after just a few days of city walking (I bought the aqua color). Good for wearing to a casual party, but not great for all day use.

The shoes run big and so I had to return for a half size smaller, but the new pair arrived with a hole in them. Service is amazing at Zappos though. I am not sure these shoes are worth the cost.

Very lightweight. cute shoe, but no arch support. Size 11M felt a little big & I'm afraid it would stretch even more with wearing -- so back it goes.

Bought these Oct 2012. Loved them. Wear them for work - nothing crazy. By April mesh has 2 large holes at seam and now has ripped from seam completely. I am looking at the other style without the mesh because I feel they are a great shoe, but I am disappointed that. Patagonia product barely made it 6 months.

This shoe looks to be a pretty silverish color on line, but in reality is completely gray. Also, there is no arch support.

Nice little shoe, but beware if you have bumpy toes (hammer toes, claw toes, etc.). I found them comfy at first, but with any length of time I get a blister on the top of my toes, precisely where the mesh is sewn to the toe cap. Too bad, because they are cool, breezy, and look casual but neutral.
