Love these toning sneakers! I have had MBT (don't care for the way they look, though) and Skechers Shape-ups, but I like these best! Shape-ups were comfortable and gave an improved posture, but have a sponge like sole that squished anytime they got a little wet. These have an awesome arch support, cause an improved posture when walking and work your muscles for toning. I like the way they look and it isn't obvious that they are toning sneakers. Note, being one of the Grey's Anatomy characters, Lexi Grey wore them in a recent episode.

I've never had this type of shoe before. It certainly felt different when I first put them on and you're feet rock back and forth. The second day I couldn't understand why my legs felt so tired. I realized it was the shoes. They really do give you a workout! I wear them just about every day and love them. Comfortable from the first day and very light. Of course, as always, Zappos is by far the best service everywhere.

I love these women's Avia iTones; they're very comfy walking shoes. I wear them 7 days a week I just bought the Avia iShapes as well and love them too. They both have tons of cushion. I love to rock back and forth in them. I will buy more soon.

I have had MBT in the past and I honestly think these do a better job with toning in the legs. With the MBTs, I feel it initially in my abs because you have to stabilize yourself, but with these, I feel it in my calves, thighs, and butt, which is great. They're more comfortable than the MBTs! They're as very comfortable, whereas MBT and not so much.

Love these sneakers! They are comfortable and you can really feel the pull in your calves and butt.

Seriously, this is the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn. I am a dental hygienist and wear them to work! They look nice too, I have had lots of compliments.

Feels great , adds energy to my walks...we'll see about my legs and derriere later!

These shoes first of all are wide enough for my feet! It is a weird rocking motion when you walk, it really does work the muscles in your calves, back of legs. The main thing is my knees don\'t hurt! They are nice looking, most people don\'t realize they are fit walk shoes.

I'm in love! I have been wearing New Balance for years, but this time I thought I would try this shoe. I liked it so much that I bought a second pair in a different color. I love the way my foot effortlessly rolls from heel to toe. It feels as though I'm gaining energy when I walk in these. The fit is great and true to size. I highly recommend them and will most likely buy these again unless they wear out too quickly over the next few months. Zappos is the only place I shop for athletic shoes because of the excellent service I get. I recommend them to all my friends and family as well. I am now browsing the other items they offer and will probably purchase something other than shoes in the near future. Thanks, Zappos!

These shoes are light weight; well made; provide excellent arch support for someone with a normal to high arch (I don't have to wear my orthotics); provide all day comfort.

I like the shoes when I first wore them, but they are not firm enough for me. They are soft ,but the cushioning is alittle too soft. i do like the Avia brand,but will probably not buy this style again.

Great feel! I christened them on a 10k walk over the Ravenel Bridge. Wonderful shoe, I highly recommend.

I love these shoes! Look good, feel good, and I can tell they are toning the muscles in my legs. Great arch support, which I find very important. Less expensive than the more highly advertised competing brand, but I think I got an equal or better product. I will be buying another pair.

Love this shoe! Very comfortable, a lot more comfortable than other toning shoes I have worn, and less expensive. Plus, I love that they come in black!

I bought the Avia Avi-motion because I felt that the Shape-Ups were to difficult to keep my balance. I love the Avia Avi-motion and would encourage more women to try them over the shape-ups. I can wear them for long periods of time. I have forgotten that I was wearing them after awhile. I would give Avia Avi-motion a 5 star for comfort and support and looks. I like the mesh the best.

These are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. I work 12-hour shifts in an ER and have had problems with plantar fasciitis for the past five years. If I where these, I wake up pain-free the next day. I'm guessing this is from the additional support the arch and throughout the entire midsection of the shoe. They hold your feet in just the right position. No heal pounding. No foot splaying. Just nice rolling comfort that makes you want to keep moving. I've already recommended these shoes to several friends at work and have bought a second pair for myself. Well-made and extremely comfortable, these shoes are a much better value than some of their more expensive competitors.

I saw the Avia iTone advertised by a leading health magazine and found it at Zappos. I read the reviews and ordered my regular size. The shoes are great! They fit true to size and the toe box has lots of room. They are wonderful of you are a serious walker but don't want to worry about falling off the rounded sole.

Comfort, comfort, comfort... These shoes are amazing. I have suffered with ankle and knee problems for several years, and these shoes keep me comfortable while I'm on my feet for many hours. They are also orthotic friendly. Do they help me get toned? I'm not sure, but I am able to walk longer, faster, and more frequently, so they must improve overall health.

These shoes are terrific. You may need a walk or two to get used to the rocking motion, but great support, great cushioning, my legs definitely feel worked after walking in them, and so do I, much more so than with my old Asics. I tried the Skechers Fitness Junkies first, and found them very comfortable and very supportive, and I loved the added height, but my heel moved in them a little too much. The Avia's fit well on my small, slightly wide foot. While I wear a size 5 in dress shoes, the 5.5 fits well with enough room in the toe for a think sport sock. I'll buy these shoes again. Zappos' service is, as always, the best!

First, let me say that I only go through Zappos to get my shoes. I have been getting my shoes through Zappos for a couple of years now and they are the best ever to deal with. I bought these shoes a 1/2 size bigger, thinking I would need a size 9, too big. They are true to size, I went down to my usual 8 1/2, perfect fit and I love them. Zappos had me a new pair within 2 days at the most. You don't have to worry about waiting for weeks for your new pair; Zappos has them on the way instantly. Until you deal with Zappos you just cannot believe the customer service you receive. I get so many shoes from Zappos that my UPS guy knows instantly by the box that I have a new pair of shoes. One more thing: You never have to worry about your information with Zappos, it's safe. Zappos is number 1 in my book and have been since I first started buying from them. Thanks.

These are the most comfortable walking shoes I've purchased in a while. They have excellent arch support and cushioning. I tried several other brands before deciding on this one due to the better fit and feel. Love these shoes! I want to get another pair for work!

These shoes are great! I tried a pair of the shape-ups by Skechers and they made my toes tingle. I guess too small in the toe box. The Skechers were effective in toning, because after just a couple hours wearing them, my calves were sore. The iTone is not as "toning", but the first day I had them I wore them all day then walked in a Relay For Life for 6 hours. They still felt great. I wear them all day doing normal mom activities and don’t have any problems. The one con is the laces that came with the shoes. Not exactly long enough, and they came untied. Got a pair of bubble laces from New Balance that were a little longer and they stay tied all day. I guess if I wore them for fitness walking, they would do a better job of toning, but they are comfortable and I’m sure are doing more good for me than my regular tennis shoes.

I love this shoe!!! I don’t usually write reviews. After trying the Skechers ShapeUPs (they were too wide for me) and wishing I could find a similar shoe that actually fit, I stumbled on to the Avia. Fits perfectly and the arch support and cushioning sole are heaven. I’m wearing them every day, 8+ hours a day! Do they tone my legs? Well, I do feel like I’m working the back of my thighs, but mainly my feet are SO happy.

These shoes are very comfortable! I use them for work. I am a CRNA and work in the OR - lots of standing in one place (although I'm never still) and these shoes have helped to reduce my aching back!

These sneakers were recommended to me so I tried them out. They are great. They take a little getting used to because you are "on a roll" when moving fast so to stop quick to turn to the side, you may lose your balance a little until you are used to them! You definitely feel a differnce. They are incredibly comfortable. I ordered a half size larger than usual and find them very comfortable.
