Bought these for my husband who has lots of feet problems. He really liked them. The true test will be our trip to Disney in a few weeks.

I work in retail & am on my feet 4-6 hours a day. These 846's have really helped. Good cushioning & fit. Very stable with no roll over. One problem is with noise - they squeak. I tried the talc trick but didn't work. Overall pleased with the quality.

I have size problems with New Balance shoes, so asked my Podiatrist to measure my feet. My right foot size is a 9D, and my Left is a 8 3/4D. After some trial and error, I purchased 2 pairs of MW846 Black size 9 1/2 EE. It's a great shoe, but for me it was really tough getting the right fit. (this solution did not work for the MW846 White, I returned both sizes)

I have a difficult time finding shoes to fit my narrow feet. Zappos is the only place I know of that has shoes that fit me. Thanks for carrying what others ignore. J. R. Moyer

I have been wearing NB sneakers for over ten years and they seem to be getting worse every time I buy a new pair. The sizes are all off and no two shoes ever fit the same. This pair so far has been pretty good, but a bit tighter than my last pair of the same model. I never know what size or style to order. I think this will be my last NB sneaker, sorry to say.

I own a pair of very comfortable NB 845's for walking but needed another pair because the soles wore out prematurely due to the very soft rubber. The 846's seem stiffer in the heal, a bit less comfortable and the soles are less spongy which hopefully will lead to longer sole wear. The 846's are great quality and nicely designed shoes but not as comfortable as the 845's. My low back can feel each step more so than the 845's, even with my Dr. S. athletic gel insoles. The stiffness reminds me more of a cross-trainer rather than a walking shoe. I do like the much shorter laces however since they don't drag along the ground like the 845's. However, overall I still prefer NB's and Zappo's over a mall or running store since nobody carries wide NB width walkers in Western NY. I would recommend these shoes and Zappo's to anyone.

I bought this pair a half size larger but I find them too big for me. Not worth the trouble and expense to return them from Trinidad to the US.

A great find - a running shoe that finally fits. My only disappointment is it is made in China. From New Balance, I was hoping for the USA.

Great looking shoe. Found the 12 to be a little tight in toe area so went with 12 1/2, which is fine. Of course Zappos is the still the best.

Very comfortable for everyday use; however, they are quite squeaky. I've gotten used to it, and nobody has mentioned it, but it is quite noticeable. By the way, I always use SuperFeet so can't really comment on arch support of stock insoles.

I had a pair of 845's that were just killer, but as usual due to the ADD of the American consumer oriented public, styles can't be around for any more than a year now, which is a shame. The 846's while okay are not nearly as comfortable as the 845's. If they could have kept the shoe all but the same but simply made some style changes it would have been great. These aren't uncomfortable, but they're also not the 845's in terms of comfort. I wear orthotics in them, the same orthotics that I had in my 845's. New Balance definitely has roomier toe-boxes though in order to accommodate them, and that hasn't changed with the 846's. Overall: Average Plus I wouldn't buy these again, I'll look for other black NB's though.

What a disappointment. I walk about 5 miles a day and have worn the 920 series for a number of years now. The 927 is a little heavy so I thought I would try the 846 since it weighs less. The shoe is not anywhere as comfortable as the 927. Shock absorption in the heel is good, but feels like a cheaper pair of shoes in the forefoot. If you are a serious walker, save your money and get the 927.

I bought these sneakers to help with my plantar fascia. The shoe is very stiff. My feet hurt worse afterward. I went back to my Asics running shoes. Way softer better. I think this is a nice walker, it just wasn't right for me.

New Balance has done it again. Their shoes do not have uniform widths. Different styles of athletic shoes fit differently even though the stated width is the same. This is very frustrating! Also the synthetic upper has a very plastic like feel.

A good looking piece of footwear, but its size, 12EE was much larger than other New Balance 12EE footwear that I currently own. It seems that the size was mislabeled, perhaps 13EE would be correct.

Very uncomfortable shoe! Previous models 844 and 845 were much more comfortable.

The first pair that I received squeaked terribly. Zappos exchanged them without question. The replacement pair did the same thing. There is an obvious manufacturing flaw. I do not recommend.
