Narrow in the calves. My calves with jeans on measure about 14.5 inches. This is pretty much the max these boots will accommodate. Also, they run about 1/2 size small (I wear 8.5, but bought a 9 and these fit). So these fit me fine and I like them. Especially like the contrasting color on the sole. In the picture that color looks Red, in reality it is more of a day-glow orangy-red but not offensive. Since I have only worn them once or twice, I cannot say how they hold up.

Upon first wear, these feel durable and supportive. Yes, they're on the snug side, but I can fit my jeans inside them just fine. Those with smallish calves will probably like the support from the B medium width. I don't feel like I'm sloshing around in these boots. If you're in doubt, order up. I'm a true 7.5 and the 8 was the perfect fit. As sometimes happens, the colors in the photo were a little off. I ordered the coral/gray boot and what I actually got is neon pink/gray. But these boots were still a winner!

Pros: Great quality boots and quite stylish. These have held up very well in NYC's slushy winter. The sole of the shoe provides enough traction to wear in the snow or on black ice. Cons: The fit here is a bit weird as the proportions of the foot are not in line with the shaft of the boot. The shaft is quite tight so throw out all ideas of wearing long woolly socks to peek out on top, there simply isn't enough room for anything other than skinny jeans. The size of the foot is about half size larger than the actual size, so recommend buying your true size and either wearing inserts or thick ankle socks to compensate.

I had my pair for well over a year now and they are still going strong! I love them and get tons of compliments! They are fully weather/water/snow proof and I occasionally use them in the winter on snowy days. They aren't super warm with the snow so wear extra socks. And like mentioned before, I normally wear a size 8 shoe but a size 8 in these boots were way too small! You can't get your foot in past the ankle. Purchase next size up (in my case I purchased a 10).

These boots were very tight. I was looking for a boot to tuck my pants into and easy on and off. Boots were too narrow on my medium with feet and tight around my averaged sized calves.

I wish these came in half sizes! The 9 cut off the circulation in my foot, but I was swimming in the 10, even with thick socks.

I usually wear an 8.5 with orthotics, so I figured a 9 would be fine, but it cut off the circulation at the top of my foot. I really like these though, both in terms of color and style, so I'm going to order a 9.5. I was able to tuck my jeans in well, though maybe someone with large calves might have a tight squeeze. I usually have a lot more room in the top of the boot, though happy to have less room in these to let in the rain!

These are not as comfortable as they used to be. The rubber is heavier and stiffer, the foot more shaped than in past years, though some may prefer this. I had to try multiple pairs and still ended somewhat dissatisfied. They were formerly a reliably good fit for a high instep. No longer.

These boots are great, especially if you're looking for something to keep your feet dry in milder spring or fall weather when it's not too cold. I had to buy a whole size larger than what I normally wear the first pair I bought was impossible to even pull on fully as my foot wouldn't go past the ankle of the boot. They are a pretty slim fit for a boot but the larger size is comfortable even for my relatively wide feet. I can't wear them with thick socks but my feet stay warm enough with thin wool socks that this hasn't been a problem. The matte finish on the rubber is a nice touch.

Gorgeous looking boot! Everything is great except the size. If you have even a slightly wide foot these will be tight. There is no room for a heavy sock. I normally wear a 7-7.5 and I ordered them in an 8. I am ordering a pair in the 9 to see if that helps. Otherwise the 8's are going back. It's to bad too because these boots are gorgeous looking and not flimsy feeling. They do not look or feel like a typical rain boot.

I originally ordered a size 7 but they were way too narrow, zero circulation too narrow, something I have never had a problem with. The beautiful people of Zappos helped me quickly exchange for a size 8 and they are great. I work on a farm and these boots have been amazing in the extremely wet and muddy terrain. I have been wearing them barefoot inside, but they slip a bit in the heel - causing a blister after a few hours of walking. It is hard to wear socks inside them because the socks just slide down, but I am experimenting with different socks. I like that they are attractive enough to wear in public. I will wear them as winter boots with thick socks, too. I bought these boots mostly because of the clearance price - paying high prices for a pair of rubber work boots is highway robbery. I am impressed with the quality.

I am quite satisfied with my rain boots! This is true to size, but the arch area of the foot and the calf is a bit snug. I have to wear skinny enough jeans to feel comfortable in these boots though.

Very nice boots. Love the style, you can wear them without feeling too informal... The only thing is that I'm 5 1/2 and ordered 6 to leave an extra space for sucks or just to make them more comfortable, but unfortunately I'd to return them for a 7. Overall they are great boots for a very good price. Totally recommend them.

These boots are comfortable and keep my feet dry. I usually wear a size 6 in flats (no socks); I ordered a size 7 and they fit me just fine. These are definitely more snug in the calves, but they look great with skinny jeans or leggings. The buckles are purely decorative and don't do anything with adjusting the boot's width.

I haven't had these for very long, but they definitely get the job done. I had to order a size up. Usually, I am a size 8, but I had to return the 8 and get a 9. They seem to be good quality. A snug fit, but not too tight and I can fit legwarmers underneath them.

I was hoping this boot would work for me since it is a lot less than Hunter boots. I usually wear a 9.5 so I ordered a 10. The overall sizing was fine and I had no issues with the calf width. The boot also seemed very well constructed. Unfortunately the boot was very snug on the top of my foot and curving up the top of the ankle. It was quite uncomfortable to walk around my home in - so it had to go back. If you have a high instep, this boot may not work for you.

I love the style of this boot, but the plastic that it is made of is so stiff! It felt like walking around in a ski boot. Perhaps it would soften up with time, but I just returned them in favor of something a little more comfortable. It is also a little snug on the middle of your foot, but I liked that as opposed to a wider boot. I have average-size calves and there was room to fit boot cut pants into the leg.

This boot is a snug fit, with out being to tight. My one complaint is that it stains easily. Living in the Midwest we get a lot of dirty snow build up on our cars, after kicking it off with this boot on I noticed a color change that I was not able to remove. Luckily it's gray so it blends in!

The foot is absolutely amazing - it actually gripped my foot, so the boot moved with my ankle, rather than me half-pulling my foot out of the boot every time I take a step, which is so common with rain boots. Unfortunately, the shaft was way too narrow and impossible for me wear on a daily basis. So sad! I wish they would offer a wide shaft version!

I ordered a size 7 which is what I wear for most shoes and could barely get my foot in the boot. I tried to take it off and it was so tight I struggled for a while before I finally yanked it off. Order a bigger size.

Well for starters, the picture is deceiving. I thought I would be getting dark brown to black colored shoes but they came in an obviously light grey color! I purchased these because I know since I have small calves, they would be perfect based on reviews and that part was right. It's a little hard to bend my leg when walking but I will just 'break them in'. So far I think I will only be able to properly fit leggings into these boots. Fine by me since the price was very reasonable! Next time I would order a size up for a better bit and so that my pants may go down into them.

Super cute and padded, but I'm not sure whose calves they were made for. They run really loose until the top, then they're super tight.

I normally wear a size 8 in athletic shoes and flats so I decided to get the same with these boots. I read some reviews which said same shoe size worked for them... WRONG! I couldn't even get my foot in past the ankle and I tried very hard!! It was nearly impossible! There was no room what so ever to push through and I don't have a big foot.This is why I checked off the box felt a full size smaller then marked. I don't even know if they were on if they fit perfect cause I couldn't even get them on. So I decided to be extra safe and go up 2 sizes to a size 10. They are much easier to get on now! With thin socks they fit fine without feeling too big and I have room to wear thicker socks on colder days. I have not worn them out in the weather yet so don't know how they will hold up with being waterproof but they look like it wont be an issue.

First and foremost THAT WAS FAST! Ordered my wellies yesterday, delivered TODAY! and I LOVE THEM and for the price, how can you not?!?! I'm an 8 1/2 so I ordered a 9. The fit is PERFECT they were a little tight across the top of my foot but I'm sure once I break them in they will be fine! I love the color and I'm probably going to order another pair. Headed north for the winter and needed something cute and stylish to keep my feet warm and dry, I think these will be just the perfect boot.

I was looking for simple, slick looking rain boots and these were a great choice. Tight fit in my 8.5 size, but I don't like my rain boots too loose. Not for all day walking if you need more arch support, but great for running errands on a rainy day. Best thing about them is that they are quality boots for less money.
