These are beautiful boots but do run long and narrow. I normally wear 7.5 to 8 and first got a 7.5 but they were way long. I then ordered a 7 and they were so narrow they hurt. I wore them anyway for a few days and now they are more comfortable but still need a lot of breaking in. I have 2 pairs of Frye boots, and they are buttery-soft leather, but these Ariats are very stiff and need a lot of breaking in. Comfy insoles, though. The bottoms are rubber, which is not my preferred sole for cowboy boots. But they are pretty boots and seem well-made for boots made in China!

I really wanted to like these boots, as I think Ariat has great construction technology for foot support. But they are just too narrow! A shame that they don't come in a wide width, as the footbed is very comfortable and has great support. The length is spot on - I normally wear an 8, and the Ariat 8 was perfect in length. I'm giving them 5 stars for comfort because they weren't comfortable on me because of the width, I think they would be excellent for people with narrower feet. Style-wise, they are lovely, but I do thing the sole sticks out too far past the leather around the toe. The leather is fairly stiff and kind of cuts into my foot where the boot bends. That might soften up with wearing.

Awesome, but too big - I just got mine in the mail. The brown oiled rowdy look awesome (the stitching is lovely), but my feet are swimming in them, especially at the heel. Just ordered a half size smaller.

Look cheap - I have been searching for quite some time to find just the perfect cowboy boot, and my search continues. I was shocked at how shiny the patent leather is on these boots! So much so that they look cheap. Plus, I found the length to be about an inch past my toes, resulting in the boots feeling quite clunky. Hmmmmm, if only I could design my own boots... maybe then I could not only get the look I desire, but the fit I need.

This is my 2nd pair of Legends. I own a working horse farm and am on my feet or a horse all day. These boots are comfortable, sturdy, and safe. The spur ledge is functional (hard to find), and whoever designed the heel definitely rides! I don't think about boots for dancing, but they are gorgeous and have never let me down.

Love these boots. I wear a size 9.5 in sneakers, but have to go a half-size down for all Ariat boots (size 9). I have had these for two years, and have yet to need to replace the insoles. They are incredibly comfortable to the point I've marched a few parades in them.

This is my first pair of Ariats, and the standard by which I now hold all other shoes. The only thing I would change would be to make the shaft slightly narrower - I have skinny calves and these boots, while immensely comfortable and definitely the right size, look a little big/clunky on me. But I would not trade them - I can walk in them all day!

Very nice boot. However, I'm sending them back because I have large feet as it is, and these just seemed to show them off just a little bit more.

These boots are gorgeous, insanely comfortable, and really we'll made. Beautiful dark chocolate leather and felt true to size. So happy I got 'em!

Gorgeous boot. Beautiful stitching, soft leather, flexible foot. I have a very high in-step, and they were tight on my foot. I need to get the next wider width (which Zappos doesn't carry, unfortunately). The length of the foot seemed bigger to me. So, I'm going to order directly from Ariat size 7, width C (originally ordered 7.5, regular width). I really hope the next pair fits, because they really are stunning.

Nice boots but too large. Ordered my normal 8 and these are at least 1/2 size, maybe a full size too large. Liking some other boots from Zappos better, so back these go.

I had been contemplating getting some real cowboy boots for quite a while. Ariat seemed to have the styles I liked, and so many people gave good reviews that I finally gave it a shot. Boy, am I ever happy! I did order a half size smaller, as so many recommended. They are perfect! There was absolutely no break-in time. They mold to my feet, and they're absolutely comfortable. I wear them all the time! I don't know that I have the confidence to wear them with shorts this summer, but I'm tempted. They are so comfy and stylish! After a very long run, these are the shoes I want on my feet. They're that great.

I have been a fan of Ariat for years, and these boot certainly didn't disappoint! I have wide, size 11 feet and athletic calves which make finding boots that fit well, and look good with a skirt very difficult. These boots are comfortable and beautiful; I get complements all the time! Truly wonderful boots!

Love these boots! The slightly square toe and distressed leather make them unique. Would say they definitely run big, I ended up a full size down and they are even a little big still.

I have six pairs of Ariat boots. One red, 3 black (short, regular and just below the knee) and 2 brown, including Western R Toe, Roper, Legend and Billie. I love these boots. They give me height without instability. With a pair of good socks they keep me warm in Maine. They also have rubber soles which are good in snow and ice. My favorites are black Billie, which I confess I took to the cobbler to remove the dusting/greying. They fit like a glove. The Roper is less cowgirl boot and more work boot, so does not fit like a glove around the instep. I bought my first pair at a local store, half price thinking I would not be out that much if I did not like them, but I did like them and 4 of the 6 were bought on Zappos of course!

Could not be more comfortable! Great boot right out of the box. Definitely casual. Great for jeans but would choose a different boot for dressing up or wearing with a skirt.

I loved these boots. Square toe makes foot look smaller and with narrow feet they didn't run so big. The calf width is just way too wide. My calves are thin and they don't fit under bootcut jeans. Don't understand why no one makes shaft in wide and slimmer cut. Feel great on.

Love these boots! They've been comfortable since I put them on. There wasn't any breaking in time. I highly recommend them for those who want support and style.

These boots are gorgeous and very comfortable. These are my first boots and I could not be happier. I got them in Russet Rebel. I usually wear a 9 and I ordered them in an 8.5. Probably could have gotten another 1/2 size down but did not want to go through the exchange process.

Terrific pair of boots. Typically buy Frye, but got a new job where I would be on my feet all day and wanted something stylish and comfortable. Can work in these all day with no problem at all. True to size...wear a 9, ordered a 9 and they are perfect. I get compliments on them all the time because they look great. Thanks again Zappos! You never disappoint.

I love these boots! I bought them for work and they are very comfortable, even after hiking for eight miles through blown down trees when riding wasn't an option. Cute and tough at work. Still look great after two years of abuse. I'm an 11 but had to order a whole size down. The size 10 fits perfect.

Great pair of comfortable cowboy boots. I can wear these all day with no discomfort. They do run big, so I ordered down a half size. I probably could have ordered a whole size smaller, but I needed the width. I have wide feet with high arches, so boots are not easy for me to find. I also have very wide calves, but these stopped just short of the widest part. The calf is wide like a cowboy boot should be! These boots are so comfortable, and look cute with skinny jeans, and short skirts! I have received many compliments.

I love these boots. They fit well and are very comfortable; plenty of room in the toe. Easy to put on, comfortable to keep on and very stylish. I have received many compliments on these.
