Love these boots! It took me a while to find the right boot that was both genuine and comfortable. I wasn't looking for a trendy style boot that people wear. I wanted real country. These are so comfortable. The first day that I wore them, I wore them for about 10 hours and had no problems. They didn't need much breaking in, that 1st day was enough. I have the light brown/tan color and I really like them. I also have a wider foot, and since these have sort of a squared toe, they fit perfectly as opposed to being tight at the toes. They run very true if not slightly big. I could either be a 7 and 1/2 or an 8 and I got 7 and 1/2. And there's room to spare for big socks. Definitely a must have boot!

I\'ve always wanted a pair of cowboy boots and when my husband and I were invited to a cowboy themed party, it was just the excuse to buy a pair. I looked at various brands and ranges of prices in boots. When I found these, they seemed to be in the median range for price and neutral in color that could be worn with various outfits. I made the perfect choice. I didn\'t realize that cowboy boots could be so comfortable. Sizing did run a little large in this particular boot, but I read the prior reviews and ordered a half size smaller and they fit great. Will wear these boots for years.

I was window shoping for cowboy boots for over a month, and I finally chose the Ariat Legend. I work in a nursing home, and I am on my feet all day. These are my first ever cowboy boots, and my concern was whether I will be able to wear them at work, or would I have to bring an additional pair of comfortable walking shoes to wear during a day, and just show off my boots in a subway. I have one pair of beautiful "city flats" that I call "sitting flats", because all I can do in them is sit! \r\nWell, yesterday I wore my Russel Rebel Legends for the first time and I went to work. I actually brought one of my most comfortable cloggs with me (I call these ones "therapeutic shoes")! To my genuine surprize I did not have to use them! I was wearing my brand new boots all day and went out for dinner with a friend after work, total of 12 hours! Oh, and the compliments I was getting all day! I lost count of how many people told me they love my boots! HEY, SO DO I!

I had been looking for cowboy boots for months. I even looked at Zappos twice before buying. I realized they had the best price with the best options for me. The free shipping gave me the option of returning them if they didn't fit for no charge. That made my decision to order through them a plus. I have really narrow feet. The Ariat is cut to keep your foot in place better than other boots if you have narrow feet. I love my books. This style in Russet Rebel. They have made my summer and will definitely make my fall and many seasons to come.

I've had my eye on these for quite a while, and I'm so thrilled ot have finally ordered them! They're amazingly comfortable, to the point where I'd recommend them alongside other comfort brands like Keen or Born. I ordered brown oiled rowdy is more textured than it looks in the picture; it's not a smooth leather at all but has some pebbling. I've only worn the boots a couple times but the color is already starting to crease and crackle most pleasingly across the instep and toe. Great for that comfortable, rustic, worn in look.I had a heckuva time pulling these on the first time, even by cowboy boot standards, they were tough, but each time they've loosened up just a bit, to the point where now they're perfect. It still takes a fair bit of effort to pull them on and off, but that's how a cowboy boot should fit. There's no struggle, just effort. My feet are on the wideish side around the toe, and I ordered my usual size, 6.5, with great success. I think someone with an especially narrow foot might find these too wide, in fact. The heel is loose, as a cowboy boot should fit. The stitching is lovely, and absolutely impeccable. My calves are relatively large, and the bootshaft is still a bit on the loose side. You should be able to fit skinny jeans down in these without a problem! The toe on these is a bit boxier than I'd expected, but not at all stumpy. My other pair of boots are Lucchese, and they have a much pointier toe, so this was something to get used to! I quite like it though.In summary, if you already know and understand how cowboy boots should fit and feel, you'll be aware of what to expect. You'll also be pleasantly surprised by the padded, well supported footbed. If you've never worn similar boots before, though, do your research so you know what you're getting into. I love, love, love my new Ariat boots and can't wait to wear them several times a week. They're so comfortable, I can easily wear them for a day walking around the city or a long trek out in the country. They're the perfect everything boot!

I got these boots in the oiled leather. They\'re great boots, stylish, but but super comfortable and wearable.

I could not be more pleased with these boots, with Zappos, with the reviewers who told me to order a half-size smaller than usual. Why would anyone be surprised at the shininess of the patent leather (unless they don't understand what 'patent' means)? I would happily pay twice this price for these boots. They are supremely comfortable right out of the box, much lighter weight than I expected. Great arch support too. Now I have to go buy some skirts that will show off these boots to their best advantage!

I received my boots this afternoon and I ABSOLUTELY ADORE THEM! This is my first pair of boots, so for anyone contemplating being a first time boot owner, buy ARIAT and through ZAPPOS! They certainly did not disappoint! I agree with the other reviews about ordering a 1/2 size to a size smaller! I LOVE Zappos as well, and was less apprehensive because I knew there would be FREE return shipping, but these babies are staying with me!

These are lovely boots! I am very happy with my purchase! They’re fairly comfortable on the first wear without being broken into. I took the advice of other reviewers and ordered half a size down and while one is a little tight, the other fits perfect. I’m going to have the tight one stretched at the local cobbler. All in all, I’m incredibly happy with my new boots! And Zappos is great, too! Free upgrade to overnight shipping which really surprised me! I’ll certainly be shopping at Zappos for my next pair of Ariats and any other shoes I need!
