I was so excited to get Terrain boots. I wore them to work and my foot toes started to hurt. There is a ridge running between the heel and the archthatcutoff mycirculation. Ihated to but I hadto returnthem. A softer contoured foot bed, may have made a difference.

Very comfortable boot but to much money to pay for a boot that won't last 12 months mostly spent working indoors. Mainproblem is inside bigtoearea tearing/pulling away from the sole.

I first bought these boots when they came out and they were great. Lasted over two years and endured every day use. Second pair, horribly disappointed.Noteven sixmonthsold, the toe stitching isgonewithgaping holes. The inside foot bed has a huge hole worn out in the heel. Not as comfortable. Definitely more cheaply made. I expected more from the brand and price.

I wonder if Ariat actually tested these boots with CTR/endurance riders. The bottoms of my feet ached after just a 15 mile ride. I normallyrideintheCobaltPerformer Proboots, which are much better for long distance riding. This boot didn't even come close.

Bought the boots in July and developed a leak after 5 months wear. No longer waterproof. Pais a lot for such a poor performing boot.
Disappointed,

When you say waterproof, I expect waterproof. First time worn on a one hour ride in the rain proved otherwise. Soaked through out. I was very disappointed.Purchased 9/25/10

I bought these after my old pair of fatbabys wore out. I was very pleased with these boots when I first tried them on-an improvedfitand I was able togetmy normal boot size. Unfortunately, they didn't last long. I wore them in the pasture, riding a couple of times, and around town, but with MUCH less wear than my old pair, they wore out. The heels have rubbed through to the leather and all of the stitching has come out of the mid section.

I was unable to even insert my foot into this boot. I bought the appropriate size (10 1/2) but was unable to get my heel past the back heel support of the boot. And no I am not a chubby kid with fat ankles or Flintstone feet.
Too bad cause they are sweet looking.

First pair of the Rambler I ordered was just big. I ordered a size 12 to start and then went to an 11 and even the 11 was a bit big.
The problem I had with these boots was a raised seam on the inside of the left boot. This occurred with 2 pairs of 11's and 1 pair of 10.5, all in the same spot. The right boot was fine and I could not feel the seem whatsoever. I tried inserting different and additional insoles to stop the persistent raised seem in the boot to no avail. Maybe I have sensitive feet? All I really know is that I have owned dozens of boots in my life some good, some bad. But I have never had to deal with this type of product reliability with a boot. I have worn Justin's, Laredo's, Nick's, White's, Hawthorne's, Tony Lama's, Double H's and probably others I can't remember and I have never had this kind of problem. I believe that problems lies with where Ariat decided to place the seams for the sole and insole of the boot which runs right under the ball of your foot, in perfect line to cause issues if there were to be any.
Don't get me wrong I understand with any boot that there is a break in period that a person should endure and that break in period can be longer with a higher quality boot. It has taken me months sometimes to break in a boot. I gave these boots almost 4 months before I had enough, which is more than enough time for a boot to break in.
So whoever is making the left boot in the Ariat Factory needs to wise up and get with the program.
To anyone who considers this boot please be cautious when ordering.
