Bought these shoes for Crossfit and running short distance. I absolutely love them. They're light for running, low to the ground for barbell work and excellent grip for sprinting on the road. My only complaint is that the toe box is a bit too snug for my feet. Be warned that the sizes run a 1/2 size too big. Other than that these are great shoes!

I purchase an ungodly number of gym shoes (for weight and plyometric training). For what I'm looking for, these are the best I've encountered. (In the interest of full disclosure, while these feel like they'd be great for trail running, I'm stuck with the road or a treadmill. Accordingly, I change into a pair of Newtons for post-gym runs.) These shoes strike the balance of support, balance, low profile, and minimalism better than any others I've purchased. They provide cushioning without being spongy. For example, even under the load of heavy leg press, the shoes dampen load; but there is no hint of tilting or sliding. I love the way I can lock them down. The non-mark soles are also killer. In addition to allowing you to transition to courts for plyo work, they've got great grip and have held up very well thus far. Zappos' amazing service and lightning fast delivery is a given.

I bought these Inov-8's with using them for CrossFit in mind. I find them very comfortable. Because they do have a slight heel, makes them extremely comfortable in the bottom of a squat. I guess my feet are a bit wider than normal, they do feel a bit tight (especially in the beginning), in comparison to the Road-Lite 150's. But are getting more and more comfortable as I wear them. The material did feel a bit harder in the beginning, but do soften with time. Inov-8 always makes extremely good shoes and these are definitely what I would define as 'extremely good' shoes! One of my favorite pairs of Inov-8's!

Great shoe for Crossfit workouts, short runs and for those looking for a minimalist feel. I got these solely for Croosfit, but they are so comfortable that I've started to wear them to work and on weekend outings. Looking to get a second pair to dedicate to workouts only and keep this pair as the casual wearer. However, I see that NB is coming out with a new Minimus shoe sometime this summer. Something to think about.

Best shoe I have run in, in some time. Ran track in school/college and this is one trail/road shoe that should get you running the right way.

I like them. They are light and offer great traction for running. I still feel I need more arch support than what these shoes offer. They run narrow, so if you have wide feet, make sure you get a wider measurement, because after several hours of wearing them, my toes feel cramped!

Great shoe, everything about it. I had one major problem not with the shoe but the other review told me that it was a half size bigger - not true at all. Now I have to break them in more than I would like. Get the size you would for any Inov-8.

I'm not normally one to gush over consumer products, but this really is an amazing shoe. It's light, amazingly comfortable (like wearing nothing), and very versatile. I can still feel every bump and change in terrain when I run in it, but there's plenty of support too. They're also great in the gym, and give excellent stability, traction, and foot placement for lifting and Crossfit. I took them on a short hike last weekend, and even with 40 lbs on my back I still felt better after 5 miles than I usually do after 3. Decent traction and comfy on hard trails, but I wouldn't do anything too hardcore with them off road. Also, they look pretty cool.
As far as sizing goes, definitely get them a half size larger - I wear a 12, and the 12.5 is perfect on me.
All in all, this is a great all around shoe for 90% of the activities I want to do. You'll probably be really happy with it too.

Great support, super light. I only run on a treadmill, and these are the perfect shoe for this purpose - for my feet anyway. I have low arches, and do not over pronate.

Don't forget that this is actually a great running shoe, and can go beyond cross training. Sticky bottom is great for trail running. Although light, this shoe offers decent support as well. Not for the heavy heel striker, more for the efficient runner. Order a half size down. Love the laces, they really "lock down" the hold. Can't wait for more to come in, so I can add another color to the selection. Others will stop and ask you what kind of shoes they are. Also expect the Crossfit crowd to give you a "head nod" as if you are part of an underground crowd. Funny!

These shoes are great, they just didn't work out for me.
The back support on the right shoe kept digging into my ankle when I ran, causing much bleeding. I sold them to a friend, and he doesn't have the problem and loves them.

I bought these as a workout shoe replacement to my old Puma Saloh's that I've had for years. Compared to the Puma's, these have a wider heel and offer a much more stable platform, which is good if you do Olympic lifts or squats/deadlifts. They felt tight in the toe box but have since loosened up a little and are comfortable to wear. All-in-all a good shoe.

From the box they came in to the shoe itself, the Inov8 220s are first rate. I ran for two hours on a rocky trail right out of the box, and was pleasantly surprised with the fits-like-a-glove comfort during the very first wear.
I dislike heavy, clunky shoes with excessive heel lift. The 220 padding on top and protection in the sole are just enough and not overdone, nor is the heel height. Light and enough protection for conditions on the rugged trails of northeastern Pennsylvania.
Inov8 builds a product the right way with quality workmanship and the athlete in all of us in mind.

These shoes are hardcore minimalist short distance flat runners designed for hard pack surfaces and urban application. These are for the devoted intermediate to professional parkour practitioner and free runner. They are LIGHT, flexible and fits like a glove. They're like a vented hard sock with laces and a sticky sole. And I LOVE them! Being an Inov8 addict myself I always endorse their best. Great for wall runs, sprints, fights, and yes even weight lifting, break dancing and the Tango..! If you beach run and lift barefoot well then they just make your feet look cooler ;)

This is one of the best running shoes that I have ever used. Very lightweight shoe that gives true feel to the road. I also use them for crossfit and find them to be great overall shoes. These shoes are true to fit and require some break in.

Great shoes. Very light and flexible. very comfortable. They look long and narrow out of the box and I have a wide forefoot, but after several hundred miles including a marathon in these shoes the fit was good with minimal hot spots and no blisters. The low heel works well for me and I never wanted for cushion (I weigh 145 lb) The clear outer sole did wear on the heel in a place many shoes come with carbonized rubber for more durability, so this would be my only criticism. I am on my second pair and remain happy. I wear x-talon 212's on the trail, and the upper is identical so these shoes have been a real go to for daily training as well as road racing for me over the past 6 months. I had previously run in Nike Free's but these shoes are a little more substantial without added weight or heel height, and without the annoying tendency to collect gravel with the Free's.

I love these but I have to comment because I'm noticing that many people are saying that these feel a half size larger than marked. This is correct, as they are UK sizing, not US! One half size larger would be exactly what they should feel like. I am marking them "true to size" - UK size! Enjoy your Inov-8's!

Fit feels right. I use this primarily for my Crossfit class which involves some running. It will be interesting to see what the longevity of the sole is since it's thinner than most normal running shoes. For lifting and floor exercises it works quite well. Box Jumps are okay on the way up, but down the impact on the ball of the feet is harder, and that might be an issue. They do look good though.

Super light and comfy running shoes. They are my favorite shoes yet for CrossFit and Anaerobic Endurance training. Nice low profile sole, especially at the heel. So much fun to Pose run in.

These do run a 1/2 size small - even against other Inov-8s (wear a size 11.5 in F-lite 230, 12s in these). Not quite as comfy out of the box as the 230's. But I think that's a reason the 230s aren't as durable? We'll see.

These are extremely comfortable running/training shoes! I purchased these for use in parkour and city running. Traction is fantastic on cement, roads, guardrails, wood, etc. Not spectacular for sticking a landing when it's wet, as a few of my bad falls taught me, but suitable for running on wet concrete. They are very thin and light, which makes them perfect for my kind of training, but your feet will take a beating when you're landing and jumping (until you get used to it...which is the point!) These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned and I took wearing them pretty much everywhere. The most amazing thing about these is the sheer quality of the product. I've been wearing them nearly every day (12+ hours a day, plus about 10 hours a week of running) and they are still wearable. One shoe has a massive hole in the side which appeared about nine months into the life of the shoe, but I still wear them and they've held up! Remember, parkour involves a lot of climbing of concrete walls and whatnot and can really test a shoe...so I am impressed. I'll be ordering my next pair right now!

I love these shoes! Right out of the box they felt great, and could immediately work out in them (CrossFit). The size was true to fit, and they are comfortable for both running and WODs. The only downside is that the laces are kind of strange so they have to be double knotted otherwise they come unlaced right away. These are the first pair of minimalist-type shoes that I have really liked! Great shoes!
