These are awesome shoes for transitioning from regular running shoes with a high heal rise, to a more Pose (toe style, barefoot style, sprinter style) that I have read is easier on my knees and hips. The first pair I ordered were a half size too skinny, so I sent them back and the next day got the updated size on my doorstep. Wow, what awesome customer service that was! These shoes are lightweight, but tough enough for street, gym, and treadmill running. They feel well put together. I wouldn't take them trail running, and I wouldn't try to work on my feet in them all day in standing job as there is not a lot of cushion, but there is a little cushion. I plan to start doing some Crossfit in them too and think they will be wonderful for those workouts. Size: They run a half size smaller in the width of the toe box. To get the toe box width I needed, I had to go a half size longer than I actually needed. Sometimes I can get away with ordering men's sized shoes because they are wider, but these are Medium width "unisex" shoes. Other Inov8 shoes do have a wider men's D width. Lift: These are not as flat as the barefoot shoes, but are more cushion & rise in the heel than Adidas Samba Classics, which I would consider flat or zero heel rise and a standard D Men's width. These have a bit of a feel like Adidas Millennium indoor soccer shoes, with a little more tread since there's no soccer ball to feel. I like the clear gum rubber sole as it is non-marking because if I decide to do anything on a basketball gym floor it won't mark it up.
I'd also recommend:

Great shoe for most anything. I always have to go 1/2 size up with Inov-8 (10 instead of a 9.5 in most other athletic shoes).

Great shoes for multiple sports. I do everything from Olympic lifting to running to skipping rope to gymnastics in these shoes. Certainly not the best for all of those but a pretty good all-arounder. Semi flat sole with good support.

Excellent shoes! They give you the foot mobility you are looking for to concentrate on the "barefoot" feel, while providing enough cushion to run on pavement. They look pretty cool, too. True to size.

These shoes are nicely made, and very light. I've been wearing them for about 4-5 weeks now for CrossFit. They are a major improvement over the cheap tennis shoes I was wearing prior to them. I find them great for the lifting, because they provide a solid flat surface to push on, and they are fairly wide at the ball of the foot section, to keep your feet from falling inward during heavy lifts. As far as running goes, if you haven't learned POSE running yet, your feet will probably hurt after wearing these shoes, because there is not much padding in the heel. That being said, it makes you think about it the next time you run in them, to focus on landing flat footed. Probably my only complaint, is that the laces come untied easily, and I've had this happen 2-3 times now. I started double knotting them last week, and that keeps them tied. Ran about a half size small, I normally wear a US 10.5, and got the 11's.

Love these shoes. They weigh practically nothing, won't leave black marks on the floor, are very comfortable, and are fine for street running. I've done two street marathon races in these and like them better than the "usual" cushioned running shoes.

I have had these for roughly a month now and am loving them. I am currently transitioning to POSE running and these shoes are much better than my old Kayanos for this task. They feel very light, and the neutral cushioning is perfect for anti-heel strikers. The shoes fit true to size with my Kayanos - i.e. I was a 10 in both. Another nice feature is the toe box is roomy enough to avoid rubbing even with POSE, but my foot is held in place well.

These are great shoes. They run narrow so go about 1/2 size big as per the sizing guide. They are comfortable and seem to be durable. They are great for running, most weightlifting, and cross fit type activities.

I purchased three pairs of Inov-8 because my feet hurt in my prior brand for almost 10+ years. This shoe ran 1/2 size larger than the Inov-8. Anyway, my feet don't hurt anymore.

Bought these to keep in my gym bag...just for working out. For this, they're ideal. Wouldn't choose any other. I think they run a bit small. They take a day or two to break in...at first they weren't nearly as comfortable as they are now. They're very lightweight and will be easy to keep in like new condition due to the materials.

Purchased this shoe about a month ago for Crossfit. Like it so far. Sturdy/solid shoe for lifting and still a bit of cushion and heel/toe drop for running. Perfect shoe for Crossfit.

A great pair of shoes. Got them as general all purpose shoes. Jogging, walking, slumming around the house and whatnot. It\'s pretty nice to be able to feel something like a breeze in these shoes. They are a little tight around the midfoot but still comfortable. The toebox is relatively open but the soft mesh gives plenty of room for wiggling ones toes. The soles provide decent tactile feedback and the heel area feels stable. The lacing system functions, nuf\'said. Good stuff.

Very lightweight. I wore these on an 8 mile trail run with no problems. My only complaint is that the toebox is a little narrow, but the shoe seems to be stretching to my foot the more I wear it.

True to size. I wear a size 7 1/2. I ordered a size 7 1/2. They are not as light as Merrell's. But they are great cross trainers. Bewaree to break them in before going to the gym or a run. I got a huge blister on the back of my right foot. The fabric is a little bit abrasive. But with thicker socks, this is not a problem.
I'd also recommend:
I love Merrell brand cross trainers. I will be ordering another pair of them when the Innov8's wear out.

I love this shoe! I'm using it for Parkour and I've been wearing them to the gym. I've only had them for about a month, but the tread is holding out well and are showing no signs of the abuse I'm putting them through. They are also good when I'm doing squats and deadlifts because my heel is closer to the ground and gives a more solid feel. Comfortable without being too cushy. They ran a little small compared to normal shoe sizing. But they do stretch out a little after wearing them. I started of using a really thin sock and now I'm using a regular thickness sock.

I use the inov-8 230 for crossfit and love the fit, but wanted a bit more cushioning and support around heel specifically for Olympic lifts. Theses 220s seem to fit the bill, but the width was too tight on my right foot. Going up half a size made it much more comfortable, but then it became too long. I ordered another pair in the same size just to make sure it was not an irregularity, but they still fit the same on my right foot. I guess my feet are not symmetrical. I totally recommend these shoes for crossfit, but just be aware that inov-8 shoes are very fitted (narrow), which I love, but might not work for every type of foot out there.

Great shoe! Use them for CrossFit. Definitely a 1/2 size big (usually 9 1/2 had to go with a 9). Hope this helps. Oh yeah, Zappos had them to me in like a day without me having to pay for the extra shipping charge. Delivered happiness!

These shoes are by far the best pair of workout/exercise shoes that I have ever purchased! They are light, comfortable and you can definitely feel that they are built to get beat up and last. I highly recommend them and they will not be the last pair that I purchase. Plus they look cool.

These are good shoes, that are very light, and pretty comfortable. The style is very good. I give them an 8½ out of 10 on comfort. Overall I am very pleased with the shoes. I love the light and snug feeling and the style. It feels like you are not wearing shoes sometimes they are so light. I love them and will probably order other inov-8 products. I do not think they are quite as comfortable as a regular type of highly cushioned Adidas, New Balance, Nike, etc. However this is a different type of shoe and the lighter shoes seem to not have quite as much support. But I have no complaints about the quality or comfort of these particular shoes.

Out of six pairs of inov-8's that I purchased, these are my least favorite. I love how they look; however, I didn't so much enjoy my running experience in them. They seem to be very stiff, causing blisters after only a half hour. I have worn them while biking and found the stiffness to be beneficial in that usage. In the F-Lite series, I highly recommend the 195's.
