Love this shoe! It is very comfortable and versatile. I can wear it with anything, and my feet never hurt! It was a little tricky to figure out sizing. Birkenstocks run large, and I usually wear a 7 in sandals, but I ended up ordering a 36 narrow which is technically a 5 1/2.

Very comfortable shoe! Takes a bit of breaking in like all Birkenstocks, but very comfortable when broken in.

I'm in love with these Birkenstocks. It took about two weeks of constant wear and a more than a few Bandaids to break them in. But now, they are my favorite shoes. The only weird quark I have experienced was when the shoes got wet. My feet were effectively dyed reddish-brown for a few days.

I took the advice of the other reviewers and ordered on the small side and narrow, and they fit like a glove. These shoes are comfortable and exceptionally good looking. I've always worn cheap versions of this style, and didn't know what I was missing. Great pair of go-to sandals.

These shoes are so comfortable. With the toe strap instead of a hard plastic thong, it doesn't hurt the toes at all. I wore them for a longish walk in San Francisco and my feet were fine. My trip got extended and I wore them almost exclusively for 2 weeks without a problem. I have a lot of foot problems and finding a shoe like this makes me and my feet very happy. I have many other Birks, and they don't cut it like these do. Only problem is that they keep stretching. I've tightened them 3 times in 2 months and I think I need to again. Maybe it's the Birkiflor. If I see them in leather I'll try them. Also, everybody says they're very cute, that they don't look like Birks. And it's true. They're cuter on than in the picture.

I have four pairs of these shoes. For someone who cares about fashion and comfort they are perfect. I also am able to get them in a narrow.

Last summer I bought the white leather Mayari and loved them. They're a little dressier than the average Birkie, and look great with jeans as well as skirts. Since I didn't want patent leather I passed on buying another pair. This year when the black leather became available I jumped at the chance. I've been wearing Birkies off and on for a few years and they've never let me down. The arch support is great for high arches like mine, and if you're used to the fit, they take little breaking in. The price always makes me a little apprehensive, but they last for years with just a little care. It's easy to keep the cork looking good with cork sealer, and if you want, the shoe can be resoled (though I never have). I only wish Birkies made more closed shoes, because in my climate (rainy PNW) it's difficult to wear sandals all year round. I would recommend these sandals to anyone.

I recently had a flare-up of plantar fasciitis, with a new wrinkle, concurrent pain in the first metatarsal joint of the second toe. This time I followed advice from a friend who is a therapist and bought Birkenstock. The toe bar is especially helpful for the kind of pain I'm experiencing this time. I have Birkenstock Arizonas and Bostons that I wear at home and two pairs of Mayari sandals for work. For daily activities, they give me total pain relief. I gave away 4 garbage bags of shoes, so I won't be tempted to wear "cute" shoes! The Mayaris are quite stylish with a good pedicure. I'm still looking for a fitness shoe for a walking long distances and a standing shoe for hours of cooking on slate floors.

I made the awesome discovery of ordering "Narrow" width Birenstocks and realized that I'd been missing out on a whole new world. A world that does not involve wearing clown shoes. Please, ladies, try getting the narrow width (if your feet are not ultra wide). I love these sandals. They are very comfy and look great. Certainly not "clunkers."

The Mayari's are so comfortable from the time you put them on. The patent is fun and it didn't look like a true (shiny) patent online, but it is. I made a mistake and ordered one size too big, forgetting that I wear a 40 in closed shoes and a 39 in sandals. These are great for wide feet. I am likely to order another pair of the same style in the future. Took less than 24 hours to deliver with one day shipping!

I wish Zappos would show pictures of people wearing shoes so you can see how they look on a person. I thought this style looked kind of boring and clunky in the picture, but when I put them on my feet, they were my favorite out of all the other Birkenstock styles! much more feminine than the classic Arizona sandal. Don't worry if your new Birkenstock feels strange to you at first. They need to break in, and you need to get used to them, too. My feet felt really tired the first few weeks I wore these. but once they broke in, I'm fairly convinced they helped heal my plantar fasciitis! They have become my favorite summer shoe.

I usually wear a 40 in the Boston and Zurich styles so I got the 40 in the mayari. They seem longer than the other styles but when I tried the 39 my toes touch the top rim. I have long toes and I think with the Mayari style my foot sits further forward because of the toe strap therefore my long toes hit the front. I'm bummed because I really wanted these sandals for an easy slip-on summer shoe but I'm not keeping either the 40 or 39. The footbed on all Birkenstock's are wonderful if your foot sits well in the shoe.

Cute style, narrower heel, x strap causing big toe pain, unsure if I will keep. I have owned MANY pairs of Gizeh Birkies. I buy a new pair every year as I wear them about 11+ months out of the yr. Anyhow, I saw this style and loved the feminine look so I decided to get them. They arrived last night. I have worn them a total of about an hour and have noticed they are a different fit than the Gizeh. The heel feels more narrow. And the x part over the big toe is causing some pain. This makes me so sad because these shoes are adorable. I think that with wear there is a good chance the leather x strap would stretch a bit, but I fear it may not stretch enough. (I normally wear a 9W in all shoes. In Birkies the regular size 39 has always fit me perfectly.) I am torn. I really want to keep them but I am afraid they will continue to hurt. I also bought a pair of Gizeh birkies. This style, as always, perfectly fits my 9W foot. I know from experience that after a couple days birkies break in and become the most comfortable shoe ever. As I stated above, I wear them daily for everything, even walking. Oh- and before I forget let me tell you...if you suffer from Plantar fasciitis - BUY Birkies and wear them everyday. They will heal you and you will become addicted as I am.

I love them! They are not entirely proportional, so my toes sometimes rub even though they are the right size. Also, the top strap has rubbed a spot onto the top of my foot even with the strap loose which hurts sometimes when I walk too much. But, I cannot get enough! I still wear them everyday!

I wanted to like this shoe. Loved the rugged-looking tobacco color leather. The arch support and cork base felt good. However, I have long toes (second piggy is nearly 2in) and they would hit the raised lip of the shoe when I walked and the toe strap started halfway up my big toe rather than against my foot like a flipflop. Also the foot bed was quite stiff, which felt awkward when walking due to the high-placed strap, though that might break-in eventually. The normal width foot bed did seem to fit me just right (my foot's a little over 3.5in at its widest) which was good to know since I contemplated getting the narrow.

Love this style… but the toe strap just broke clean from the footbed and I can’t see how it can be repaired, unlike the Birks of old. This is after just over one year of wear. Boo!

Send a pair of shoes without a box or a tag, placed in a plastic bag. Really should not have to pay full price for a used pair of shoes. The first time this has happened with Zappos. Returning.

I will never buy Birkenstocks again even though I am a Birkenstock believer. These shoes ended up being such a disappointment. I've had many Birkenstocks over the years. My first pair lasted 20 years my 5th pair that I bought 3 years ago lasted one year and the pair that I just bought lasted one week. Birkenstock has totally sold out and are passing off these flunky fakes as they are the tried-and-true Birkenstocks.

These shoes hurt especially when I tightened them enough to actually be able to keep them on. I believe I'm supposed to break Birkenstocks in...I could not begin to wear them long enough to break them in. Back they go. Guess I'm a comfort girl all the way.

Great shoes. Just run bigger than the size guide, if your Women’s size 6 -order the size 35. I ordered a 37 it was way too big.

This is my second pair and I absolutely love these Birkenstocks. They are comfortable and flattering. I walked 20,000 daily steps over Italy with no problem. Can't wait to buy another color.

I’ve worn Birkenstocks for almost 30 years; different styles and footbeds. This, the Mayari, is my all time favorite. Having a ruptured plantar fascia, I find my Arizona Birkies have too much “play” and wear time is reduced. The Mayari holds my foot in the footbed without feeling too snug. I love these and will buy a second pair soon.

I've worn this Mayari Birkenstock style for years. Very comfortable and this is a replacement shoe...I just finally wore out my old pair! Love this Birkenstock.

Great arch-support sandals.

this is my second pair and they fit as perfectly as the first 5 years ago. So happy Birks come in narrow size!
