I really wanted to like these, but unfortunately, they were a fail. I wanted a pair of Birks, but thought I would try something different than the classic Arizona style. I thought the Mayari was the answer. I had to return the first pair because they were a bit too long (I am an 8-8.5 and the 38 was a much better fit). The first time I wore them, I got a blister on the side of my second toe on my left foot. I changed the toe straps (having the strap come over instead of under) based on another review and that seemed to help with the blister issue. The more annoying aspect is that my right foot makes what can only be described as a farting noise when I walk. It feels as though the air gets trapped under my arch and when I step down "Pthbpthb". Sadly, I won't be wearing these anymore and essentially wasted a hundred bucks.

LOVE the shoe but the toe strap broke 2 months after purchased.

I ordered the Mayari Black Oiled Leather and the Mayari Black Birko Flor to compare. Both shoes are in the same size 38. (I wear an 8 in most shoes but the 7-7.5 birkenstock fits me best). The shoes are exactly the same except for the color and feel of the straps. I was hoping to keep the leather for its durability but the pair I got said "waxy leather" (not oiled) and the straps look gray, not black as they appeared on the website images. The birko-flor pair are solid black color and though they fit a teeny bit looser than the leather (I prefer a tighter fit) I am going to keep them for the color. A friend has worn her birko-flor material to shreds so I have some confidence that the shoes will last quite a while. (My older leather birks lasted years, so we'll see!)

It took me a day of wearing to get completely comfy...I believe that is due to the shoe-bed forming to your foot. Afterward, I needed to tighten the toe by one buckle more than the strap over top of the foot...perfection! These now rank as my go to house slippers, running around anywhere that isn’t formal. I will be buying more.

Great fit and wonderful look. I have been wearing Birks since 1992 and wear them everyday. They are great for bad feet.

I wear an 8.5 and have a narrow foot. I ordered both the 39 and the 40 Mayari. The 39 is a smidge short (I have long toes!) but the 40 was too big all the way around. The toe strap on the 40 was way big. I kept the 39, even though I don't think the fit is quite perfect. It seems that the footbed contours fit my feet, but I wish they were just a bit longer to accommodate my toes. The narrow width is perfect. I'm still breaking them in, but so far so good! This is my first pair of Birks!

Last week I ordered the blue, which were to die for...fit..color...so comfortable! I immediately ordered the bronze brown, and they too are amazing! I plan on living in them all summer! I am a regular width size 9 shoe. The 39 fit like a glove! The arch support hugs your foot, and the leather felt supple right from the get go! A match made in shoe heaven.

I really love these now, but initially, it took a minute to get accustomed to the style of Birkenstock sandals (because it's my first pair). I wear a men's 7.5-8 or a 9-9.5 in women's shoes. I ordered a size 40medium (7-7.5men's or 9-9.5women's). They fit but they are definitely on the 7.5men's side of that scale and run like men's sandals with a medium width. I usually like a medium width, but these were definitely a little wider than usual. If you want a more "feminine" version of this shoe, order a narrow width (which I have never done or said before..I usually prefer men's shoes for the width).

I obviously love this shoe, I have them in 5 colors. They are comfortable, give great support, are easy to adjust, and I think they are great looking. I am waiting for them to make them in white so that I can have 6 pairs.

I ordered these and about 6 other pair, to compare and see which I liked the best. I have a very flat and narrow foot. I got these is narrow. I tried them on, sent them back and then I reordered them and they have been on my feet continuously. I felt lost without them. =)

I have bunions on my feet from wearing heels all my life, so find it very hard to find sandals which do not hurt my feet. These, however, feel very good.

Great purchase! I just had my hip replaced and I needed sturdy, supportive, and comfortable shoes. I prefer slip-on versus sneakers so I opted for these. I'm glad I did. I find them perfect for the reasons I just stated. Highly recommend.

I've consistently worn Birkenstocks for over 30 years, and these are the most comfortable ones I have ever had. Too bad it will be getting cold here, and I will have to put them aside!

I've always wanted to try Birkenstocks, but have a narrow foot so thought it wasn't meant to be. So when I saw these in narrow, I had to have them. Once I figured out how to wriggle my foot into the right spot, I liked them. They are very stiff so I can't wear them all day or out for major walking, but they are great for around the house. The color is nice, a dark gray with blue tint.

I have worn Birkenstock shoes for almost 40 years since they were first introduced in the States from Germany! I love the fit and style of these sandals. They are quite dressy by my standards yet good well with pants and dresses! These are dark brown almost black. I returned a pair of Mayan gold ones because they were metallic gold, not just a gold color. Other than that---no surprises here.

Both of my girls who are in college bought these shoes and they love them. They are comfortable and easy to walk in and they do a lot of walking. One daughter has narrow feet but ordered regular width and they worked fine.

These are very comfortable sandals. comfortable sandals. You need to allow time for your foot to be molded onto the bed of the shoe, so do not wear them to work the first day like I did! I was in excruciating pain. Wear them in first before you plan to stand a long period of time in them. Otherwise, they are incredibly comfortable, and provide amazing arch support. Birkenstock knows what they are doing!

My new favorite Birk sandal, or maybe favorite shoe, period. Break in time was zero minutes. Felt like an old friend the moment I put it on. Not like my other Birks, which took several hours to break in. Perhaps it is my feet that are broken in by the other Birks, but in any case, they feel like they were custom made for my feet. I immediately ordered a second pair. When I find a shoe I like, I stock up when possible. I'm all about comfort, but these also look great and flatter my feet.
