I bought a pair last August. I wore them until it got too cold for sandals. I pulled them back out this spring and I've noticed the paint on the buckles is chipping off. I haven't even had them a year. I would expect $100 to last at least a year.

Something has changed. I have owned Birks for years, many styles. They were one brand I could count on. I had the Mayari in a black full grain leather, and I am so sorry to say that I finally wore them out. I decided to replace them, and much to my disappointment, they are nowhere near the same shoe. The regular width is narrower than it used to be, and the oiled leather is stiff and cuts into my feet.. I can't believe that these shoes gave me blisters within hours. I have never had a Birk that was too narrow or needed broken in before. Aesthetically, the oiled leather is nowhere as nice as the full grain leather. My straps on the old sandals look as good as they did from the start (it's the cork and sole that are destroyed.) If only my old ones were repairable.

Was looking for a comfortable summer sandal. These were just a bit to "granola" for me. Although the size and fit were true to size, they look a bit flat and wide on my narrow foot.

Sadly it didn't work for me, and here's why. My feet kept sliding forward ever so slightly as I walked in these sandals, and my toe cleavage (between the big toe and the second toe) would hit the X part of the front strap, which, unlike Gizeh style, isn't rounded and smooth. And it hurt. I love the style, and I so, so, so wish I could keep these sandals. My low rating is not a reflection of the quality, it's just to indicate that these don't fit everyone .

This is the second time the two strap popped out. I am now on my third Birkenstock Mayari. I just love the style so much, but I know sooner or later, that toe strap will come off. First, it loosens and then, pop! Out it comes. I think I need to change to a different style.

I fear that Birkenstock has taken the low road. For years I could only wear narrow Birks, but now it says that narrow and regular have been combined. This doesn't work for me and this particular sandal's toe hold doesn't even touch my toe. I'm very disappointed.

I am usually a size 5.5 and the size 36 were much too big. Although slightly better looking than the average Birkenstock, they still very much look like Birkenstocks.

This is my first pair of Birkenstocks and I am really sad to say that they are the most uncomfortable pair of shoes I have ever owned. My feet actually hurt after wearing them for only two hours and I never usually have this problem. The foot bed has absolutely no cushion to it, and the ridge under your toes almost leaves my feet feeling bruised :( They are super cute though!

These are not for people with flat feet! The overly high, hard as a rock arch is just awful. I actually cannot imagine someone without a very high arch comfortably wearing these. It just digs into the side, bottom of the foot painfully. Also the suede footbed feels like sandpaper. For $95 the upper should be real leather and the footbed unarguably suede-like. The color is pretty but that is the only positive. Size wise they ran true and width wasn't a problem, it was just the boulder in the middle of shoe that didn't work.

I really liked the color and style of these sandals, as well as the Narrow size option. Unfortunately, the leather toe loop on one of the sandals was significantly larger than the other, not adjustable, and too big for my foot. So, back they go.

Immediately sent these back, the leather around the toe was very hard and felt like it would cut into my toe. The footbed is standard for Birkenstock, wider than your average shoe, so it fits feet that are wide.

Strap around my toe is not comfortable, going to return!

The leather was not even in color. Some of it was much darker.

I guess I'm just not a Birkenstock person. I bought these for an upcoming trip to Europe but just couldn't get used to them in time. They are too stiff and seemed to aggravate my sciatica.

I absolutely loved these while they lasted. I'm used to Birks being well-loved and a staple in my wardrobe for 5+ yrs, especially with the price. Mine broke off at the toe strap after just over a year. So disappointing because they were my favorite sandals! I wore them every where and with everything. I called about getting them fixed but they can't be fixed since the strap tore. I looked at the other one and it was on it's way to tearing as well. I love the style, the fit, the comfort, everything, but I need a shoe that won't fall apart on me.

I was excited to try these shoes because I liked the way they looked and I need some comfortable sandals for everyday wear. Unfortunately, the strap closest to my ankle dug in enough to leave a mark when I walked. The cork sole was comfortable enough, but it isn't flexible like leather (I'm used to wearing Rainbow sandals) so the overall experience of walking in these sandals was uncomfortable. I'm returning them and hoping a different style of Birkenstocks treat me better.

These are great sandals that broke after one season. Zappos stood behind them, and sent another pair which also broke after one season. Birkenstocks declined to stand behind their product. Bummer.

I was happy with the color and style of these sandals. I am a 8 1/2 - size 9 so the 39 fit best in size. I was not happy with the comfort of these sandals. I read the reviews that you have to wear them in for your feet to conform. They still are not comfortable for me after a month of wearing them. Once you wear them you cant return them so unfortunately I have a nice pair of expensive sandals that I wont wear because they aren't comfortable. I'm wearing my $18 Nike sandals from Kohl's instead. I was disappointed because I wanted these to be my everyday, no matter what sandals. Work, Play, Leisure. I feel like I lost the money but I understand the return policy. You never know how shoes will feel until after you purchase them and wear them. Zappos has great service and delivery. They get the 5 stars!

I got the worst blisters of my life from these shoes from walking to class for about 20 minutes all together. The high arch really hurt my feet and they were just overall very uncomfortable. I hate it, because I loved the way they looked. They were also way too big, almost a full size larger.

Unfortunately the top strap that goes across the upper part of my foot really rubbed on my skin and caused a lot of discomfort. I tightened the buckle, so hopefully it will help next time I try to wear them (after my skin is all healed and I do not need to do much walking in them). For a Birkenstock, I think the style (Mayari) is quite cute.

Very cute shoe but it didn't fit my feet very well. I wear a 5.5 and the 36 was too short and the 37 was still too short in toe but too long in the back.

I love these shoes. I love the look of them and the way they feel. in warm months I wear them all the time. The problem I have with this style is that the toe strap breaks where it goes into the footbed. I bought one pair and they broke within three months. Zappos graciously sent me a new pair since the others broke so soon. That was last summer. I pulled them out of the closet, after winter, and wore them for the last two months straight and now the new pair has broken. Now, I do wear them EVERY day ALL day but it seems they should last much longer than 3 or 4 months of wear. I have had Birks last for over 10 years so I'm quite disappointed. I would buy this style again because I love the way it looks but not knowing they break so easily. :(
