The quality control on the apricot leather Mayari is horrendous. I had to order 3 pairs to get one mostly decent pair that didn’t have visible glue and other defects. I’ve been wearing a Birkenstocks for years, and it’s never been this bad. It’s a good looking shoe, and comfortable of course, but quality is lacking.

Hard. Very hard! Size down.

Rough leather straps. I had a pair of these for years and forgot that there’s a breaking in period. The leather straps are uncomfortable until then.

I have the same pair in a different color that I love. I ordered these and the part under my toes doesn’t fit right. I thought they needed time to break in and the are still not right. I regret buying before trying these on.

Here's the mystery. I have another pair in the exact style, also made from leather (not the vinyl version), yet this pair cut into my toes so badly, they left marks after just 15 mins of trying them on here at home. I would love to buy more pairs if they fit me consistently!

Started out tight across my toes

Save your money. These did not last very long at all! Purchased in June, and by Sept. the cork is split and they are no longer comfortable. This was my third pair. The toe loop broke on the first two pair after 6 months. Very disappointed in the quality.

I adore these shoes, but this is the second pair that have only lasted me a year before the strap broke. Birkenstock quality is NOT what it used to be. I love these shoes, but I expect them to last for at least a couple summers and they just don't anymore.

I ordered a 6, the box said 6 but the sandles were size 7 so someone goofed up so I sent them back.

Love this sandal, but the toe strap broke after only 3 weeks of light usage. EXTREMELY disappointed in this pair.

Toe piece very uncomfortable

I’m a big birkenstock fan, these were at least my 4th pair over the years, but the quality of this style is lacking. The toe loops came unglued from the soles on both shoes after only a couple of months. Birkenstock replaced them for free, but then the second pair did the same thing not long after.

OUCH! Not sure how a sandal can hurt ones feet, but this one did. Pain around the leather toe ring, not even going to try the left one on. Returning

My sister owns this exact pair of shoes, I have tried hers on they fit me almost perfect but are slightly too big. Hers are a size 9 so I decided to order these in the size 8. I was extremely disappointed when they arrived. They felt larger than even my sisters size 9's, the arch support seemed oddly placed and the sole was so clunky I felt a bit like I had a brick on my foot. I am disappointed as I have never had an issue with the quality of shoes from Zappos but this time I think I will just order directly from Birkenstock.

5 stars to Zappos. 2 stars for the pvc Mayari sandals. Reading the many reviews posted here, it seems only one is relevant, as this shoe for sale is NOT made of leather...but all of the ones referenced in the reviews ARE...except one. That one review confirmed my concerns that vegan Birks do not withstand normal wear and tear. Even at a great price of <$30, I would not recommend a pair of shoes that lasts less than a year and costs as much to repair one shoe as it does just to buy a new pair. I have had leather Birks last over a decade. I LOVE having vegan footwear options and kudos to Birkenstock for providing them. However, a shoe that wears out after 7-8 months is just more junk that will end up in the trash.

These shoes were super narrow and squeezed my big toe when I put them on. I thought it was just me because I have kind of wide feet and chubby toes, but my daughter who has narrow feet said the same thing. Too narrow for anyone, but those with the narrowest of feet. All of the other reviews said they ran wide, so maybe its a fluke with this pair? Super cute, but sadly they have to go back.

The shoe is cute but quite uncomfortable. The arch support is inadequate for my high arched foot and the foot molding on the foot bed is hard and does not conform to my foot. There is no cushioning whatsoever. Might work better for a young foot (20-30).

The color of the leather was much darker than pictured. The straps happened to hit my foot in all of the wrong places. Not flattering or all that comfortable. So, they went back. Zappos is terrific about returns!

Fit was fine, but the leather is very hard, and uncomfortable. Unless, you are willing to break them in, I would suggest going with another color. I have 6 pair of Birkenstocks, and these are not like the others.

These shoes were amazing. However the leather between the toes broke after only 18 months (of not even wearing them all the time - the soles aren’t even worn!). I expected more of Birkenstock-my husband’s last forever.

Maybe there's something wrong with my feet, but I haven't found a pair of Birks that have felt good to me. These in particular were way too big and the straps on each shoe, even when adjusted, felt wonky and way off. Also, even with the straps tight against my foot, when I stepped down, my foot would land on the edge of the footbed, which is raised and somewhat sharp, which was not pleasant. Perhaps I got a defective pair? Regardless, this is the third style of Birks I've tried and I think they just weren't made for me and my feet (which, by the way, are pretty normal). Cute style though.

Loved these shoes but they didn’t even last two years, one of the straps ripped off. Took them to a cobbler, found out that they can’t be fixed due to it being vinyl. They told me that wouldn’t happen with leather straps! Will purchase leather in the future!

I love the Myari style. Very comfortable shoe. My disappointment is with the materials used on the straps. I have both the metallic taupe and the habana oiled leather. The leather is going on a year with no problems. The metallic taupe on the other hand has torn after less than four months of wear. I am greatly disappointed in this. I did not wear these daily and took very good care to keep the soles brushed and sealed using the birkenstock products. I don't think I will buy another pair unless they are leather.

I was so excited for these shoes and have worn them for a few months but am now returning because I discovered the design is defective when it comes to long term wear. I ran into a friend who had the same ones at a party and we were like "we love these!" and then she pointed out to me that hers (she had them for a few months longer) were totally ripping where one of the straps is attached to the leather foot bed because of the angle of the attachment. I looked at mine and noticed they were doing the same thing too, which I definitely wouldn't expect from an awesome and reliable brand like Birkenstock. I've had other designs in the past and they last for YEARS not months. So, while these are my favorites design wise, I am returning prematurely in hopes that this feedback helps them refine their craftsmanship for this product. I'll be purchasing the Florida or Arizona which I know from personal experience lasts years without any issues.

I have mayari's in black and love them, but the pair I just ordered in blue were not made well. The toe loop on one of the sandals was huge. For $125.00 I expect well-made sandals. I returned them and will look for them at a local shoe store where I can see them before I buy them. Mailing UPS is a pain in my town, so returns are a real hassle.
