I love the classic birkenstock footbed, which is wide enough for my c width feet. I also really like the silver color, alas the upper strap is placed far too far back and rubs my front of ankle raw. I am honest considering asking my local shoe repair uf they could move the startup up an inch.

This is my second pair of Birkenstock Mayari. I like this Birkenstock style best, because it looks less bulky. They're very comfortable.

I decided to return these. If I could keep them on looks alone, I definitely would. The style is classic with a definite femme touch. I ordered Tobacco leather, which is gorgeous, by the way. But, it does not fit like other Birks I’ve had. It’s very close, but not close enough. This style feels smaller and more narrow. If you have any issues with pain in your big toe, such as arthritis, the Mayari may not be the Birk for you.

Love these (the lavender oiled Mayari) but were a whole size too big. I wear a 7-7.5 shoe (size 8 in sneakers) and the same size (38) in these is a whole size too big. I would have reordered but they were out of stock so I ordered a 37 from Amazon and they fit great with still a bit of room at both ends. Very comfortable - toe is fine.

the fuchsia color was really much more the color of rose pink rather than fuchsia. The soft foot bed is an improvement, great shoe. Took minimal break in time.

Great shoe. The Mephisto seems to fit my foot better. LOVED the big toe "holder" but the strange thing is that when my toes fit on the foot bed of the shoe there was too much ROOM in the back of the shoe! There was footbed left with no foot on it. I must be a size smaller than these. But I really liked them. I will go to a BIRK STORE nearby and check on my actual SIZE.

My advice is size down. I’m a tried and true Birk lover. I always buy the same size (39) but a 39 in these were way too big. A 38 looks a little small but fits comfortably minus the toe piece. On the right sandal it’s very tight. I was sadly going to return them and then I tried taking the strap that goes under the toe piece and placing over the toe piece and that solved the problem. Bottom line: love them now. But some frustrations and work to get there.

Shoes were as expected except for a defect - a glob of glue on the heel. So I immediately returned them; If I’m going to pay $125, I don’t expect anything but perfect. Not Zappos fault but should have been caught by quality control in my opinion.

The length seemed fine, my trouble was the width. I wear a 38 narrow in the Birkenstocks but I also have a pair with a regular width and I just tighten the buckle. The problem with the Mayari was the fit in the toe strap. It was extremely tight and there is no way to loosen that strap. Otherwise they were beautiful. I had to send them back and I probably will just order a different style.

Great quality, and SUPER comfy! I loved the sandal and it fit well, however my only concern was that it was super slippery while trying to walk. I was fearful of falling, so I had to return them. If Birkenstock recreates this sandal with fall resistant tread I would purchase them again. So sad I had to return.

Although the footbed was really comfortable, sadly the strap around my toes rubbed and was bothersome. This is the only reason for my return.

These are a replacement... I love them

They look good. I have some discomfort from the strap that goes between my big toes. Maybe the leather with soften up as time goes? I do know I would not like to walk about town all day in them as is. I'm going to keep them in hopes of a more comfortable fit as they break in.

Every spring I get hopeful that Birkenstock will make the Mayari narrow in the pretty pastel colors. I love my black patent pair, but sometimes I just want some color! Disappointed again this year. I don't even have narrow feet, but the regular width just looks wrong. I would give all five stars if the color selection were better.

I think I am between sizes and some of my toes hit the rim enough to annoy me. I also don't like the worn-in look of leather (this pair has a particularly worn-in appearance) and some of the details were sloppily finished on this pair. Returning these and I'll probably grab another pair of Birk Arizonas.

As reviewers have said before, this sandal runs about a half size large. I normally wear 8-8.5 and sized down to 38. I ordered the bright pink and returned it, as it wasn’t bright pink, but more of a medium mauve. It’s still a nice color, just not what I was looking for. I ordered the black side instead and it’s perfect.

Received my shoes in a timely manner. Arrived in great condition, still breaking them in but so far pleased with them.

These are super cute and comfy. I had to wear them for just a few hours at a time for the first few days because my foot wasn't used to having a strap across it that high up. The leather is sort of unfinished, for lack of knowing the correct term, so it shows every little nick and scratch as a whitish mark. You can rub the mark out okay, but it's kind of a bummer. That's what keeps me from giving 5 stars. I'm not a fan of the look of traditional Birks, but the insole on these is adorable, and is honestly what ultimately made me buy them!

I wear a 6.5N and got the 37 regular width as the style I wanted did not come in the Narrow width. The fit was fine as I tightened the straps. The foot bed is hard and if you are used to wearing Naots, FitFlops, Fly Londons, like I am, then it will be a shock to your feet. The straps are strong and sturdy leather (on the style I choose) and I do not expect them to fail anytime soon (if ever). I would not want to walk very far in these just yet as my feet still need time to get used to the hard footbed and straps. I expect the straps to soften over usage; they are not so rough that they have rubbed a blister anywhere. I have worn them in the house, to work at my desk in my home office, and for a trip to the grocery store. I will say that if you have dry heels like, me, you might find that they get drier faster with these sandals.

I am new to Birks and as such just getting used to the fit. I am a long time flip flop wearer but wanted to change my mode a bit and chose these Birks to see what all the fuss is about. ? This sandal has a LOT of arch support which I am neither used to or need, but it’s OK. The toe loop feels like it could start rubbing but so far (1 week or so) no issues. The fit is ok but very different from what I am used to. I will continue to wear these Mayaris but I am not totally sold on them yet.

My EU-size is 37. Always has been. I even measured with the chart that comes with the box. (It also said I’m a size 37). But I ordered 38 anyway, since I have a rather wide foot. This turned out to be wise. The shoes are a bit long on my foot, but a smaller size wouldn’t had worked out. I got the regular width btw. My foot is just too wide for a smaller size. My foot is wide in the wrong place, I guess. Also, I like that there is some wiggle room for my toes in the larger size. I just don’t think it looks great when the foot is the exact same size as the shoe. The leather is a bit stiff but I will most likely get softer with time. The ankle straps are okay, but the “toe rings” hurt! I mean, it’s a cute sandal and I’ll keep them! But I wish they would be more comfortable out of the box. I’m glad I canceled the order of the vegan version of this shoe.

I didn’t have the patience to break in the leather around the toe as it was too bothersome on my left foot. Otherwise I’d keep them as everything else was wonderful. Decided to swap them out for another Birkenstock style w/o a toe loop.
