This is a gorgeous color and a classy looking style, simplified by slipping on for everyday use and easily paired with most any casual outfit. I definitely recommend for the normal toe, average-fitted person. Sadly - for me, I had to return. Apparently, Birkenstocks were just not made for me. I have tried several sizes up in narrow and regular and even printed their shoe measurement scale. I overpronate - with little to no arch, so my feet spread when weight is distributed, (all the time that I’m vertical) making them more wide without proper support to hold them up. In addition, I also have what has been described to me as a square “toe box.” So basically, my toes are more even straight across, as opposed to the usual slope. This brings me to my issue with Birkenstocks. Their sharp lifted edges will not contain my stubborn pinky toe, and it is super painful. I did find that the narrow size offered my arch, or lack there of, more support by keeping it more snug and in place. And the regular fit was just not wide in the correct places for me. In addition, I’d like to add to anyone also new to Birkenstocks that there is definitely a break-in period and it should be done in moderation as to avoid pain or further agitation to already existing issues. As I did not get to the breaking in part, I cannot offer any guidance on how long it takes, but I have full faith it is worth it. I am still super bummed I couldn’t make these work, but if you have none of the above issues - don’t hesitate, and buy these beauties!

Just wasn’t fit for my foot. Didn’t like how strap felt around my big toe.

I sooo wanted these to fit. I have a narrow foot, and these were just a tad too wide, causing my foot to slip a bit and hit the end of the footbed. The style was so cute and the foot bed so supportive, I was disappointed it didn't work out.

I ordered the bright pink. In person it looks more dusty magenta. Not a color I like. I wear an 8W. After reading the reviews I went with the suggestions. The 'regular' width was good but the 8-8 1/2 was too long. I should have gone for the 7-7 1/2. Probably would have fit. I might try a different color this season.

Too narrow between the arch and heel. Had to return.

I got these for my daughter last year and this. They run like 2 sizes too big legit. She loves them they look cool but I have to send them back again. Last year I just went the mall and had her try them on and bought those. I then sent the others back for a refund. I mean size 6 should be size 6. Now that I vented they are great though and she does love them. Just buy them in person.

The fit and size were spot on. But the staple wasn’t quite what I had wanted to I had to return them.

Everything is great about the shoes except for the scuff marks. I will be sending these back.

I love the look and the sole of the show but the pat around the big toe is so tight. Yes I adjusted it and max it as loose as possible and it still pinched. I ended up returning the shoes.

I love these and have had several pairs of Birkenstocks that lasted forever. The toe strap broke on these after 3 years.

I've purchased a few pairs of the Birkenstock Mayari over the years. This was my first purchase of the leather version; the others are the birki-flor material. For some reason, the toe straps seem looser on this pair than on any other pair that I've worn. I like the dark blue color and the comfort of the cork sole, but would prefer for the toe loop area to be more snug instead of loose.

These run 2 SIZES TOO HUGE! According to the chart, a size 9 female foot should take a 39 - I had to return and re-purchase TWICE to find that a 37 was the proper fit for a size 8 female foot. Also, these took more breaking in than I expected - the stiff leather caused a sore on the upper part of my toes from where it rubbed when walking. I'm still working on breaking them in! but I appreciate the good arch support and the thick soles which I think will wear better than my previous knock-off versions.

Very cute shoe, but it appeared these shoes were not brand new. The other Birkenstock’s I have purchases have always had a tag on the straps and the straps are NEVER buckled. These did not seem new

I had another pair of the Mayaris that I purchase 3 years ago. These fit slightly differently. They are a little narrower. I have small/average toes, and the part that wraps around my big toe feels tighter than my original pair. I think it may loosen a bit with wear, but they are not quite as perfect as my older pair was.

these are cute but they hurt my toes due to the leather being so stiff. had to return them

I live in Birkenstock sandals with the original footbed due to plantar fasciitis. Adding a pair of Boston clogs for the winter for the first time.

I have 4 other pairs of Birks, 2 Arizona's and 2 Gizeh's. Love them both, but wanted to get a different style in Blue Oiled Leather. When I ordered this shoe, the site did not "note" a small inventory, and it took them almost a week to ship. When I finally received my shoes, the one toe loop was larger than the other (which fit my foot perfect). I immediately got online to return for another pair in the same size and color.......OUT OF TSTOCK! Grrrr. I liked the look, and decided to keep the shoes, however, after wearing them a couple of times, I really wish I would have returned them. The sandal with the large toe loop is uncomfortable (my foot just seems to be clenching the shoe to keep it on), however I will be honest and say the sandal with the correct toe loop is comfortable to wear. I'm just so disappointment in Birkenstock for their quality control. When you're paying $125 for a pair of shoes, they should be perfect, without any type of defect.

I have another pair the exact same size, but these fit very snuggly, and my left foot hits the side of the shoe sometimes as I walk. Perhaps they just need to stretch out, so I will keep them and see? You can’t beat Birkenstock for support and comfort.

I normally wear an 81/2 wide shoe. I need a very wide toe box and these fit the bill except they are a full size too long in length. I’ll return them for the 38 .

Cute, birks usually fit a size small and these were the same. Love the white but the was some yellowish glue on the seam which was a bummer. Kept them anyway!

Overall, the shoe is comfortable, but the toe portion can rub and be uncomfortable. I wore it for an entire day, walking and sightseeing around Baltimore and experienced no discomfort other than the toe.

I usually take a 9 for I am a true 8.5; but the 9/9.5 was an inch in a half larger than my normal sandal off the back heel. I returned and reordered the 8/8.5 fits exactly right. So true fit on this sandal. The adjustable straps allow for a tighter fit and placement on the bed of the shoe. I had ordered slip on sketchers sandal and the fixed strap was loose in my size. The bed of the shoe is hard and needs some breaking in time. I wear them around the house and switch off until they mold more to my foot. I haven't had a Berkenstock shoe in many years and this is the closest I can get to going barefoot. I require arch supports. The style of the shoe is much more modern than the old standard and if this works out I'll order another in a different style, same brand.
