I had back surgery 2 months ago and am starting to walk around normally. My husband has been on my case about buying some Birkenstock shoes because he has loved them for over 25 years. This was my first pair. I felt like I was walking tall and my back did not hurt. When I put on my other sandals, my back and legs hurt. I have bought two more pairs since these.

Shinier than expected, guess I missed the patent leather part. Once I got used to that really love them! Can be dressy or casual, they work with both. Love the style!

This is my second pair of these sandals. I wore the first pair until they were embarrassingly thrashed. I love this pair, they are really comfortable except that it takes a while to break in the toe strap. After that, they\'re great!

These are really cute Birkenstock shoes. In my mind, they are the only cute Birkenstock. I had surgery on both feet this past year, and flip flops are okay, but not good for serious walking around. These are the perfect alternative.

I love Zappos.com! This was my first experience ordering from this company. I ordered a pair of Birkenstock shoes in the wrong size. My fault. I returned them, (free shipping) yea, and received the second pair, which fit just right. The service was fantastic, The time in which my shoes were delivered was incredibly fast, even though they said it could take a couple of days longer because of the week end, it didn't. Zappos is a very cool, professional company, I highly recommend trying their service. You won't be disappointed!

I was looking for a pair of black sandals that would be somewhat dressy but still comfortable. I have narrow feet so have a very difficult time finding sandals that fit. Most make my legs and feet ache by the end of the day. I have been very happy with these sandals. I really like the two buckles as I can adjust them to fit my narrow foot and if the leather stretches over time, I can readust. The black patent leather gives them the dressier look I wanted. I've only worn them a couple of times and have gotten quite a few favorable comments on how cute they look. I wear a size 10 so bought the 41. They fit in the width but are too long. I decided to keep them for every day wear and bought another pair in size 40 to keep for good!

I haven't had a pair of Birkenstock shoes in a long time, but I wanted a pair of silver sandals that were simple. I have to say. I love them and I can't say that enough. I want to bring Birkenstock shoes back because these are too cute, super comfortable and everyone should have a pair.

You just can't go wrong with a pair of Birkenstock shoes and these are no exception. Comfortable the minute I put them on. Great Bronze color. They are feminine and flattering. I haven't worn Birkenstock shoes for years but I have been having foot trouble so I went back to them and my feet are getting better.

I love these shoes. I got them in one day thanks to Zappos quick shipping and I loved them, though they do run a little big I could have gone down one size. I just cinched them a little tighter and they work fine. Very cute and feminine and once they're broken in they are very comfortable.

Even though many people said to order narrow - and I am a small person - the narrow were too narrow. Regular put my foot right where it felt like it should be without having the side padding climb up the side of my foot. (I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs for comparison.) Super cute shoes though.

I find that I have to really tighten the straps to keep my feet in place, to the point that it is a bit uncomfortable. I wear a women's 11, but these seem a bit short. Maybe that's how Birkenstock's are, it's my first pair. Width is fine.

Very surprised that the narrow size fit my very narrow, low volume, flat feet. Sandals are typically a nightmare for me, even narrows. I was not overly optimistic about these, but some reviews complained that these were too tight/too narrow, which is usually an indication that it may work for me! I have to tighten them all the way, to the last hole, but they feel like they will stay put and not flop around and cause blisters. The arch feels like it could be a bit too high for my flat feet, but I haven’t done any real walking in them yet, so the actual comfort level remains to be seen. Will update my review when the verdict is in on that front. Overall, I am excited to potentially have a sandal that works! The style is fairly nice. Very casual, but a bit less clunky than the standard Birkenstocks.

I really like the fit of the shoe with the exception of the material around the big toe. The big toe loop was huge for me so there was basically zero support offered by having it there. Also, the bottoms of the shoes slipped around on my floors to the point where I was concerned I myself would slip on a slick floor outside of my home.

I've worn Mayari for years and love them. This pair fits the same, but not great right out of the box. The buckle on the right side hits too close to my little toe (not the case with my other pairs). I ordered another pair to see if it was a defect, but it fits the same. I am keeping them and hope that I get used to it after they are broken in more.

I initially ordered a 38, which was too long. I returned the 38s and ordered a pair of 37s. The length is better, but they are substantially narrower than the 38s. I had to double check and make sure I didn't accidentally order a narrow width. They are overall comfortable, but are too narrow for all day wear or long walks.

Wow, these are super cute and the color is flattering on my skin. Problem is, the spot between the big toe and 2nd toe, rubs in a weird way. Maybe it's this material or maybe it's just the cut. I'm coming from a pair of Target knock-offs which were more comfortable, and no rubbing. I emailed Birkenstock, and they advised me to keep at it, wear them for a lengthy break-in period and use moleskin. For this much money? No thanks! I guess for now, I'll stick with the knock-offs. My current pair of Birko-Flor Mayaris are worn down in the tread after nearly 9 years of use. Those took several painful weeks to break in at the toe strap but ever since have felt fantastic. They are a sturdy shoe that you can walk in comfortably with regular use, although wearing for an entire day with a lot of walking can cause some temporary pain/foot fatigue due to the hard sole. I recently purchased a second pair and while I like the color of the Tobacco Leather, was disappointed to see the large metal buckles arrived corroded! I will be ordering another pair to see if this is a rare defect but am concerned that the quality has declined if new pairs are experiencing corrosion.

I already have this shoe and love it. I wear them so much that the sole is wearing thin, and I wanted another pair of the exact shoe. What I didn't like is that someone else had tried them on and left the box messy. The shoes were unbuckled and just placed in box. I understand that many of the shoes have been returned by others just as I return shoes. My only statement is that there needs to be a system that when returned, the shoes are placed back in box as if new with inserts in to keep their shape. Given the price of the shoes, I don't want to feel like someone else's throw backs.

Loved the silver birkiflor narrow. Perfect fit and size, stays on the foot well, exactly what i needed, great feminine design. However i ordered the brikibuk mocha, and the space in the toe ring is much less. Tried to order another one in case this is a fluke pair, and also a couple other alternative materials - leather and birkiflor in brown to try, but unfortunately stocks are low right now. So i will hold on to the one i got for now just in case and see what comes back into stock. Thanks for Zappo's long return timeframe. Makes a big difference, as i don't have time to be running around shipping things frequently. Nixing one star in the overall rating for the inconsistency in fit between the different materials (at least for now). I hope the maker reads these and takes notice what needs to be corrected. A great product can only benefit from fixing problems. It's worth it! I definitely would keep the mocha ones if they fit like the silver ones. Unfortunate.

Great shoe as always but too big! Ordered the size I always wear in Birkenstock’s but to big. Order one size smaller and you will be happy!

I bought my first pair of Birkenstock Gizehs four years ago when I was pregnant with my second child. They quickly molded to my feet and I wore them nonstop for months, including exclusively for a two week walking vacation while I was six months pregnant. My feet changed after both pregnancies (arches fell a bit, feet now a little bit wider - C width - across the tops of my feet) and my Gizehs were now uncomfortable almost immediately after putting them on. Initially, I tried to just reorder the Gizehs, but the widest part of my feet extends over the sides of them, which I don't like. I ordered the following sandals to try and replace the Gizehs: Yara - kept, love these and the ankle strap, definitely keeping them, feet do slide a little but nothing uncomfortable, will try tightening the straps, takes an extra minute to put them on due to the straps, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Granada - returning, uncomfortable both times I tried them on, thinking that it's the multiple cutouts in the straps (which look cute but hurt my skin if I try to walk), feet definitely fully fit on footbed Arizona - deciding, super comfortable trying on but they look so clunky, also feel like my feet slide forward a lot, feet definitely fully fit on footbed Mayari - deciding, super comfortable trying on, just wondering if they're too similar to the Yaras, like the toe strap, feet definitely fully fit on footbed

I really wanted to love these shoes. They look very cute on, but I am not a fan of the Birkenstock sole. It is hard and very uncomfortable. I asked my sister, a big Birkenstock fan, if they soften up and she said not really. My foot will need a more cushioned sole. Loved the style though!

these are HUGE. i've worn a 39 in birkenstocks forever. these make me wonder if i need to even go down to a 37.

Great shoe. Had to size down a half size.
