The Left shoe buckle of my Kork-Ease shoes was a bit "funky". I do not have the time or energy to send them back. I can wear them and nobody would notice, but for the price, they should be perfect.

I'm on my second pair of these in black. I wore out the first pair, they were so soft and comfortable. The leather really softened up after just a couple of wearings--the first pair. The second pair are a year old and I literally wince when wearing them. They are still stiff and rub my feet but dang they are cute, so I suffer. I probably should have returned them but I kept thinking they would soften up. My bad.

Love the look, however not comfortable for me. I've worn them twice and not for long (going out to dinner) and both times have ended with blisters in my toes!! I usually wear an 8 1/2 and tend to have a wider foot so I ordered them in size 9. While walking through the house they felt comfortable but as soon as I went a bit further the leather front straps started to bother me. Again it is a very feminine, nicely designed shoe, but the leather is not giving in at all. I am going to give them another try this time wearing band-aids on my toes to prevent the blisters... but if the cost of the shoes is this much it should not be the cause of blisters for anybody!!!

These shoes didn't work out for me, which is a shame because I love the way the look. Main issue is that they do not come in half sizes. I wear an 8 1/2. The 9 was too big and the 8 too small. It seems odd that a shoe this expensive doesn't come in half sizes. Also, they would be far more comfortable if they had a suede foot bed rather than shiny leather. The Rockport Keira comes in half sizes and has a soft footbed so I am going to give those a try.

Very cute shoes! I wanted to keep them, but they were narrow and uncomfortable...sadly I had to send them back.

Very cute shoe, and exactly what I was looking for in a chunky, black sandal. They are quite comfy for walking and are great for giving height at concerts when it's standing room only (I'm 5'2). Unfortunately, as others have mentioned, the elastic gave out after only 3 months of normal wear. I will be returning these tomorrow. Sad to see them go since they're so cute and stylish, but I need a shoe that can stand up to everyday use.

I'm not sure if this was a defective shoe or if it's the design. I have a small narrow foot so I have to have a strap normally to keep the shoe on. The heel strap on Ava sits at the bottom of the heel not around the ankle. It also fits bigger than the Felicia I ordered so it took a full insole to make it fit. 5 might have done it.

Torture- As stylish as these shoes are, they still aren't worth the agony of how they felt on my feet. They are advertised as "comfort shoes" but they felt like bricks strapped to my feet: very rigid, heavy and uncomfortable. I am returning them immediately.

I did read the other reviews for this shoe. I figured it would be a great investment. Exceptionally crafted & last a lifetime. This is true but they are very very uncomfortable. I could maybe wear these for 2 hours at a time without them killing my feet. They are extremely narrow. I have worn them maybe a handful of times and they killed my feet each time. I also have shoe stretchers (for the width in toe box area)that I have been using in between each wear but they still hurt. The next size up is too large in length. They need to make half sizes! I paid waaaay too much for something I won't wear too often.

They gave me blisters on my toes and ankles. These are only for standing.

Was very disappointed upon receiving these shoes. No way they were not going to lead to massive blistering at the front of the toes where the criss-cross straps hit, especially in warm weather. Wanted to love them because the style and the price is right but not being able to rely on a pair of shoes to be comfortable enough to walk more than a few blocks in is a deal breaker. Will be returning.

These were great when reissued about 10 years ago, but the newer made in China version is terrible. Leather doesn't stretch, give, anything, and neither does the footbed!

I love these shoes, but they totally fell apart in 3 months.I have had good luck with other kork-ease shoes. Maybe this pair was just a dud.

Do not buy this shoe. The elastic that connects the buckle to the shoe wears out within a few weeks and the back strap stretches out as well. Zappos is great about returns, but Kork-Ease needs to fix this problem! The Bette shoes do not have this problem -- they have an all leather strap at the buckle!

There is a problem with this model. The back strap stretches out and the elastic that connects the buckle disintegrates very quickly. It's too back because these are good looking, comfortable, and otherwise well made shoes. Luckily Zappos lets you return them. I have the higher heeled model (Bette) also. They have no elastic, just leather straps and they last forever.

I ordered the Ava in Black. Be aware the black dye comes off on your feet! They are not comfortable enough for me to wear all day. I have tried to wear them to work all day at least 7 times, and have always ended up putting on multiple bandaids where the straps cross.

The most uncomfortable shoe I have ever worn. The leather is not at all supple and does not lend itself to any movement. I will never order from this company again. I was so excited because they are such a great looking shoe, and I love the base and color but they are ruining my feet.

These were great when they brought them back 5 years ago. 2 years ago, they changed makers -- awful! Leather is so stiff, it does not break in, blisters, the 'padded' shoe bed is like a rock. Awful. Bring back the old manufacturers!

These shoes (unlike other amazing Kork-Ease sandals) rip my fit apart and will not break in. They're terrible.
